Can't install CF Builder 2
I am trying to install the latest versin (CF Builder 2, update 2) on my iMac (2013 model, 8GB RAM, OS X 10.8) The installer launches but the intial screen is blank with only the "next" button visible. It wil not progress from there. I've tried re-booting and re-installing with not luck.
Anyone seen this? Given the lack of CF support in Dreamweaver CC, I am trying to install CFB as recommened. Needless to say, a bit frustrating! I also do not see any logs generated for the install attempt, so there is little in the way of clues to help.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
With the JDK that got updated through “Software Update…” that is part of MAC OS X 10.8.4 update has got issue.
Can you please download the JDK installer from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572 and install it to the default location.
Try installing the ColdFusion Builder now. It should be working fine.
Thanks,
Krishna

I can't install Flash Builder from the Web Premium suite, what should I do?
I just downloaded the Adobe Creative suite 5.5 Web Premium and am about to install the program but notice a note next to the Adobe Flash Builder program... it explains that my system doesn't have the requirements needed for this program. I checked and it explains further details stating that I need to have a • Mac OS X v10.5.6–10.6 and I doubled check which version I have and it's OS X 10.5.8. Doesn't this actually mean that it does meet the requirements?
Please advise as to what can be done to be able to download this specific program.
Thanks,
Sarah-Kayok,
so for the memory: it's 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 and when I click to
install the programs it says (Macintosh HD: 10,0 Go (459,5 Go
disponible).
As for the processor: it's 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Monitor resolution: 1920 x 1200

We do still need more information such as how much memory you have,
resolution of your monitor, how much disk space you have free, which
processor are you using. I good guide is to look at the system
requirements and try to post for each of the items within the
requirements. The system requirements for Web Premium can be found
at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/web/tech-

Also you can find this information within your System Profiler. The
easiest way to access the system profiler is to go to the Apple Menu

Can I install Coldfusion Builder as a plugin for Flash Builder?
I already have a licensed copy of Flash Builder 4.x installed, trying to install ColdFusion Builder as a plugin for Flash Builder. When I installed CFB, I selected install as a eclipse plugin and entered the path to the FB directory. Now I can't figure out how to invoke/add the CFB plugin in FB..
Thanks in advanceYou should have uninstalled rather than simply deleting CFB 2 plugins manually .
Please do the following to fix it now. (If you have used Uninstaller to uninstall that would have cleaned all these things ):
Take a backup and delete the file: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Uninstall/{b8c666c3-1efd-11b2-bf3c-e04be4b2b610}.db
And you will be able to install CFB as plugin to Eclipse now.
Thanks,

Why I can't install Flash Builder 4.6 with a Master Collection Serial Number?
Hi all,
downloaded Flash builder 4.6, i had a Master collection 5.5 suite which includes (obviously) Flash Builder 4.5,1.
I found that I can’t install the 4.6 version with the serial number of the Master Collection.
The Adobe support told me thet I can’t install the single packet but I can upgrade the entire suite of (probably) six months when the 6.0 version will becomes available.
I feel cheated.
I spent a lot of money to buy and upgrade the entire suite and now I can’t upgrade Flash Builder only.
Can you help me?
If there is not a solution I think I'll nerver upgrade the suite anymore, I'will port all of my mobile code in Objective-C and "tanti saluti".Deeptika's answer is very helpful.
Now, this is how I activated the FB 4.6, using theMaster Collection CS 5.5 serial number:
1.- Uninstalled Flash Builder 4.5 from the MC (Select the 'Delete preferencies'- checkbox).
2.- Deleted and cleaned all program's cache with CCleaner.
3.- Installed Flash Builder 4.6 in TRIAL MODE, and -IMPORTANT!- Be sure that you are selecting the SAME LANGUAGE on wich you installed your Master Collection!!
(I had some troubles because I didn't remember that I installed the MC with "Español", and I tried to install FB 4.6 in "Español (Latinoamerica)").
4.- After a reboot of my PC, I opened Flash Builder 4.6.
5.- It asked me for a serial number, I had to wrote down my Master Collection's serial number.
6.- I was happy because my FB 4.6 serial number was accepted, (after three unsuccesful attempts because of the wrong language installation).
So, everything is about languages.
In the last case, maybe you should uninstall your entire Master Collection (including Flash Builder 4.5) and then reinstall it (without FB 4.5). Then install FB 4.6.
Yep, this is a little annoying, but now I can use the Flash Builder 4.6. It worth the work.
Let us now if you could install your FB 4.6 succesfuly.

Now managed to get Flash Builder installed. Turns out it was my computer user name that caused the problem. I had a special character in my name ( the special character was ' ). I set up another user account without any special characters and installed Flash Builder using that user account and it installed without any problems.Hope this info helps.

First time running Windows Technical Preview Build 9841 I was able to upgrade to Build 9860 but then during the release of Build 8979 I keep getting this error "failed to check for new preview build, please try again later. 0x80244022". I'm tried
everything from changing my time to correct and past time. Running Windows maintenance along with "Windows Update troubble shoot" and using third party software such as Advance systemcare and Jet clean.. Nothing worked so I did a reinstall and reformat
of my laptop TWICE and I'm still getting the same error. I understand that today Microsoft Server for Windows App store was having issues but I've had this issue way before this. I've also check and the app store issue seems to be fixed and I retried to install
Build 9860 on my fresh install of Build 9841. Nothing works? Any ideas?Would you care to do a clean install by downloading build 9879 Enterprise ISO, burn it to a bootable DVD or Flash Drive and then install ?Enterprise version has everything in a non- enterprise version plus a few extra features gear towards business
people. You don't have to use them at all.
If that is acceptable, here are the links :

Can't install Flex Builder 2 plugin in Eclipse 3.3/Europa
[I hope Adobe reads these forums. I tried to submit this as a
customer service request, but the customer service request form
kept telling my I had to enter my First Name, Last Name, and Email
address, even though I _had_ entered them!]
I can't seem to install the Flex Builder 2 plugin in Eclipse
3.3/Europa. I had it installed fine in 3.2/Callisto. I uninstalled
it from there, installed Europa, then tried to install the plugin.
After I selected the Eclipse folder, I got the error:
"Please choose an existing Eclipse folder (3.1 or greater) to
be updated. This folder must contain eclipse.exe and the standard
folder named "configuration"."
All three conditions (3.1 or greater, eclipse.exe and
configuration) hold in my case, so I don't know what the real
problem is.Actually it's quite simple. But you have to be warned. This
doesn't guarantee a bug free Eclipse setup and it isn't supported
by Adobe in any way. It is how-ever your only shot at getting
Eclipse with Flex Builder 2 AND php-development support, as Zend
has stopped deploying the php-development-requirement for Eclipse
3.2 (or at least I haven't found it in their archives.)
Flex Builder 2 simply checks for some files to see if the
directory you want to install to exist, so it recognizes the
directory as an Eclipse 3.1+ directory. Eclipse 3.3 however misses
the file startup.jar. If you simply copy startup.jar from an
Eclipse 3.2 directory into the 3.3 directory, Flex Builder 2 will
install in the 3.3 directory.
Again. This is not supported in any way by Adobe.
For more info, Google on: eclipse-3.3 Flex-builder-2
startup.jar
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=eclipse-3.3+Flex-builder-2+startup.jar
Kind regards.
PS. I would still like to have an Adobe Representative answer
the simple question: Is Adobe or is Adobe not working on getting
Flex Builder 2 to work on Eclipse 3.3? A simple yes or no will
suffice. -

How can I install flash builder 4.7 silently.
hi,
I need to install more than a hundred software at a time. So I need to install every software silently.
1. Could you tell me if there are some varialbes to install Flashbuilder silently, without the clicking the "Install" or "Try" button at first, the following "accept" button , typing the "serial number" and the "adobe account"?
2.Our company bought the license, so the way I can use this software is to download the trial version and then click the install button and type the license, is that correct?
Or is there other ways to use FlashBuilder?
Thank you in advance!
Looking forward to your reply!

I can't install Flash Builder Premium on Mac OSX
I have a Mac running Mountain Lion and I haven't had any issues installing any other Adobe apps. I have searched the forums to find a solution but I haven't found one yet. The error I get is: download corrupted.
Hi coolcajun,
1. Did you try to download and install the direct download link? You do get the same screen as in your second post, this can not be correct.
2. If you have a issue with your environment PATH please contact Microsoft to resolve this first. Are you in a network and not the IT admin? Please consult your local IT admin to resolve this issue.
3. Best practice for installation is to use a full admin account to prevent read / write issue on unpack and download locations. -
Can't install Extention Builder 2.1 generated ZXP-file

I just build a *.zxp file from Exension builder 2.1 trial.

I cannot install flash builder 4.6. Installation hangs while unpacking files
Below is the information from the event viewer. I am using Windows XP SP3. I don't know, but I wonder if it has something to do with our roaming profiles. The place it seems to be trying to unpack to is \\EssexHQVM\Desktops$\user.name\Desktop\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 Installer, which has a special character in it. I can't find any way to have the file unpack to another location, it doesn't prompt for a location.

Then copy the files to a thumb drive and move them to the computer that I work from. I can then install Flash builder with no problem.
This is a kludgy work around that ought not be. How hard is it to have the unpacking routine prompt for a location? That would allow me to give it a location to unpack that would not cause a hang up. Or, failing that, why not unpack in the same location as the file that is doing the unpacking? Then I could simply place the file in a good location and let it run. -
Install Flash Builder 4.5.x Upgrade without Flex Builder 3.x installed?
Edit: Is the lack of replies because no one knows the answer or because this was a ridiculously dumb question?
Also, if I must have a prior version physically installed to do the upgrade, can I install Flex Builder 3 on a temp Windows machine, upgrade that to Flash Builder 4.5.x and then transfer the license to the MacBook? Seems like a very convoluted way of doing things but if that's the only way then I suppose I can go scrounge up a spare computer to do so. End Edit
Hi,
I just got a brand new MacBook Air which has Lion on it.
I have an unused boxed copy of Flex Builder 3.0 standard edition.
I tried to install 3.0 and of course I got an error along the lines of not compatible.
What I would like to do is upgrade to Flash Builder 4.5.
So the question is,
Can I buy the upgrade edition of Flash Builder 4.5 standard for Mac, then install that on my MacBook even if I don't have 3.0 installed to upgrade from?
Is it as simple of just supplying the seriel number from 3.0 when upgrading?
Thanks.

Changed the title to better reflect the situation.
Also added a blurb to the top.Well, thought I should update just in case someone else has a similar thought.
I ran out of time to wait and it seemed I wasn't going to get a response so took the chance and bought the upgrade.
The install couldn't find any prior versions so just asked for the serial for Flex Builder 3.0.
After entering that in, it thankfully installed just fine.
Would have totally sucked if it didn't work and was forced to then buy the full version.
Anyhow, relieved it worked.
