Can't install Dreamweaver CC 2014.

I installed DWCC2014 from the Cloud App on my desktop, but the installed version didn't work, it gave me an error.
So I deleted the application from my Apps folder, but the Cloud App still showed Dreamweaver CC 2014 as installed. So now when I go to the site and try and install it, I can't as it assumes I already have it.
I've tried deleting the Cloud App and reinstalling that, but it didn't make a difference. It also took me about an hour to find where to download this from.
Any ideas?
Here's my app screen:

Hi CitizenBB1975,

    Here's the error code:

    Thanks everyone
I'm no techie so reading through all the suggestions was sort of helpful but non gave the answer... or at least an answer I understood. In the end, I just used a bit of common sense after several more failed installation attempts following the use of the adobe cleaner tool/software, I decided that the problem was clearly an issue with permissions on the font mentioned in the error. So, backed up the font on to my desktop, and restarted windows 7 in safe mode. This allowed me to delete the font in question from the c:/windows/fonts folder which couldn't be done when booting up windows normally beacuse it was always 'in use by another application'.
Once the font was deleted, I rebooted again but this time in full windows mode rather than safe mode and installed Dreamweaver CC 2014 successfully.
Thanks for all your help guys, I do appreciate you posting the suggested links... if only the above simple instructions had been listed on the Adobe Troubleshooting pages, I could have done something more constructive with the 4 hours of my life I won't get back spent wasting my time fixing this!!!
    Now for some shut-eye!

  • On how many systems can i install dreamweaver cs6

About a month ago i have format my whole old pc with also dreamweaver cs6 deleted (i had troubles with my whole pc, thats the reason to format the whole pc) I sell the empty pc. only windows 7 on it.
Now i have an new pc. and i have installed dreamweaver cs6 on it. it works ok.
My question is: on how many computers can i install dreamweaver cs6
I have in my home 2 times the program installed. one on this pc and one on the pc that i selled (The program dreamweaver cs6 was not anymore on that pc that i selled. I had deleted it)
Now I would like to sell the adobe dreamweaver cs6, becaus i don't need it anymore. is this possible? because i had installed it on two systems in my home. one on this system and one on a system that i selled (deleted the DWcs6 on the selled pc).

You seem to be asking two different questions.
The answer to how many computers you can install Dreamweaver on is two. However, if you want to sell Dreamweaver, you must transfer the licence entirely to the other person. In other words, you can't keep Dreamweaver on one of your computers, and sell the other permitted installation to someone else.
Details of how to tranfer the licence (or sell your copy) can be found here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/transfer-product-license.html.
However, you say that you deleted your version from one computer. That's not enough. You should have deactivated it first. You will need to get Adobe to cancel the activation on the computer you no longer have. Otherwise, the person who buys from you won't be able to install on two computers.

  • I can't install Dreamweaver 8 on Windows 7

Just like my title, I can't install Dreamweaver 8 on Windows 7 Release Candidate.
I can start the installation, but it just stuck at "installing" for very long time, and the installation just can not Continue...
I already try to running it in XP compatibility mode( Windows XP SP2), and the answer is the same: can't install.
    Can anyone advise, please?

I'm afraid you may be out of luck.  DW 8 is 3 versions old and was not tested to work on the new operating system.
There have been reports that some people are unable to run CS4 or are having problems with CS4 on Windows 7, so I doubt very much that DW8 would work.  Sorry.
See this thread for the same issue

You can't just trash Adobe apps. You need to uninstall them.
Now you'll need to hunt down the CS4 clean script and run that.

  • Can't install Dreamweaver CS4 on WIndows 7.  Setup error

I can't install Dreamweaver CS4 on WIndows 7.  I get a vague error that says Setup error, sontact Adobe Customer Support. Adobe Customer Support refuses to help me.  That really upsets me.

First of all I would like to thank the people that responded to my post.  I am extreemly impressed with your eagerness to help and your concern for my problem.  Thank you very much! I appreciate it.
I did not see a way to get a transcript of my chat.  I should have printed it at the conclusion of my chat. Overall though, I think my concerns are with Windows itself and also how Adobe as a company handles a call from someone who gets an installation error that says "call Adobe Customer Support". I purchased this program to run on Windows 7 and I am installing it on a Windows 7 computer. I feel that if Adobe is going to give a vague error message and tell you to contact them, they should give me more assistance than "your product is too old, good luck on the forums". I could see if I am calling and asking them how to do something, maybe my product is too old for that, but I think their responce was unacceptable.  I hope enough other people complain so that Adobe changes this policy.
Wow, this has taken an enormous amount of time to deal with. I imagine this is mainly a Windows file permissions issue, but I think Adobe needs to take some ownership for a client having to spend many HOURS trying to install their program on the original OS they purchased the program for.
I definitely do not like the way the Adobe Dreamweaver installer deals with errors. Here are the facts as I know them.
When the installer would fail on install, the subsequesnt install would fail, but it would give a VERY cryptic error stating that the install failed and I need to contact Adobe customer service.
In order to re-install I had to un-install.  Naturally my un-installs failed every time, too. After lots of trial and error and checking the forumns, I found   the program install folders under c:\programs. I deleted them, re-booted, unistalled again with no errors.  Then I could re-install without the vague "contact Adobe customer support" error.  Note that I had to re-install several times to get to the bottom of the installation problem so this took a long time to figure out.
In the end, I had to manually delete files from C:\Windows\Installer in order to get Dreamweaver to install.  This took a long time to figure out, too.  It still installed with errors, but it said Dreamweaver would work with limited functionality. So far this is good enough for me and I am tired of spending non-billable time on this.
Following is one of the main erros I got during the first failed install.  IF ANYONE KNOWS EXACTLY WHY MY INSTALL WAS FAILING I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW.  IT SEEMS LIKE IT DID NOT HAVE PERMISSION FROM THE OPERATING SYSTEM TO ACCESS THOSE FILES, BUT THAT SHOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE AS THE PROGRAM IS INSTALLED AS ADMINISTRATOR. Any thoughts???
    Thanks again everyone who helped!

  • Can't install Dreamweaver on a Mac

I bought the Windows version of Dreamweaver CS6.  I'd like my second copy to be on a Mac Air.  When I try to install on the Mac, I get a message saying that I can't install in DOS mode.
Does my license allow me to have my second copy on a Mac?  If so, how do I get the media I need to load it?

No the prepetual license is single platform.  You would need to either switch your license to the Mac platform or purchase an additional copy.  You may want to consider the Creative Cloud btw if you are commonly using both platforms.

  • Can't install Photoshop CC 2014 because, you know, 42% right?

Well, my story is the same as the dozens of others who have suffered from this same problem. I tried to install Photoshop CC 2014 on my Macbook Pro with OS X 10.9.5. When it got to 42%, it stopped. I rebooted and tried again, closing all other applications on my MacBook. It got to 42%, it stopped. I tried again. It stopped.
I went to this forum and searched for help. I've done everything reasonable suggested by this forum: I've rebooted my machine dozens of times, I've emptied out the Go>Go to File>/tmp folder. I've reinstalled Adobe Cloud.
I don't know what else to do. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi
I would suggest to use the Adobe Clean tool to fully remove the software
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Then reinstall the updated Creative Cloud application manager
    https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
Let us know if you are still having problems with the CC software

  • Can I install Flash CC 2014 with the $9.99 Photography Package?

I just bought the $9.99 CC photography package for Photoshop because that's what I originally wanted. Now I see that Flash CC also has a button that says "Install" instead of test with the trial version of CC. Can I install Flash CC for no extra cost? $50/mo seems a bit too much to download more than one application, especially since I'm not using it for anything but my own enjoyment.
    Thanks

NO. The photography bundle really only contains PS and LR. This may  simply be a glitch.

  • Can I Install AE CC 2014 (13.x) alongside with AE CC (12.x) on the same Computer?

I am using AE CC 12.1 already. I bought a training series recently which also consists of some .aep exercise files which I am unable to open in the current version I am using. I want to Install AE CC 13.x to view those files so that I can follow along with the training series, but I do not want to uninstall my current version of AE. Can I install both on the same machine?

Thanks Dave, you are a life saver.

  • How can I install Dreamweaver CS5.5 using my serial number? I only see the trial download for CS6.

My company bought CS5.5 Creative Suite, and one of my coworkers used our license for Dreamweaver on his computer. Now he has left the company, and I would like to install the license on my computer so I can use it from my station.
When we installed the software on his computer, we simply downloaded the trial version and then entered our serial number. However, now I can only find the download for CS6, and putting my serial number in there for CS5.5 does not magically download that version for me, unfortunately.
Does anyone know how I can install the license on my computer? I thought it would be allowed to have it on two computers, just only one computer would be able to access the software at a time. I just need to figure out how to install it...

I talked to Adobe staff, and apparently I needed to use the Adobe licensing website, licensing.adobe.com. I'll need to talk to my IT department, who bought the software, to get the account information for the site, but I'm on the way to success!

  • Can't install dreamWeaver after packing it with CC Packager

    Hi,
I have done 2 installation packages with CC Packager. The first one includes Photoshop, Acrobat etc and works fine. After installing it I start Acrobat and register my Adobe ID.
The second package is DreamWeaver that I want to add to the other software’s. It starts the installation, kills explorer.exe and just stops. Nothing else happened.

I can add that during the first installation explorter.exe shuts down as well and never restarts.
I'm using a Windows 7 x64 machine, running the installation as administrator.

For some reason, it installed on the 5th time.
But, the Adobe Setup Error.log log sais:

I don’t know where it gets that SSID from, it’s not on the computer when I check my regedit.
I have installed Acrobat, Bridge, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop from the same CC package.
Any ideas? I can’t try 5 times for every installation. ;-)
