Can't install Lion after a beta

I was using the last Lion beta, and now I can't even buy Lion, because (rough translation): "A later version of this software is already installed on this computer - To download this version, move your version to the trash" (as if i could do that!!!). I'm stuck. I guess I cannot downgrade to Snow Leo to then jump to Lion, either? Has anybody have this experience?

If you have the last seed build, which was the GM seed 11A511, then you have the same version that is now for sale.
If you still feel the need to download the same version then you can erase your HD, boot off the 10.6.8 backup that you would have made prior to installing a beta of Lion and download 10.7 from MAS. You can then run the 10.7 install, select Other Disk and install onto the erased HD.

A single purchase of Lion will allow you to download it multiple times as long as you use your Apple ID.
If your wife wishes to install Lion, she must sign into the App Store with your Apple ID.

How do i install lion after having beta

i had the beta gold master and had problems with video so i wiped back to leopard on my 2007 imac and then installed snow leopard with the newest updates. now the app store says i have lion installed and wont let me download it. i wanna pay for it but cant. help please

Can't install Lion, stuck at Utilities screen, bad permissions

Hi,
I run the dock installer, everything smooth, after the reboot where is seems it's going to install fine, shows 33 mins remaining, 32 mins remaining and then pops the utilities screen with the 4 options.
And yes, I've been reading some similar threads where people have gone through the same and eventually were able to install Lion either by unexplainable factors upon random retries or by using the re-install OS option at the utilities screen.
Also I've seen cases where people were able to install Lion after cleaning disk errors.
I think that is my problem. I thing it's my disk that is preventing the installation from succeeding.
I have only one original partition, journaled, no encryption.
If I run Verify Disk everything reports as OK. But, if I run Verify Disk Permissions I get errors I can't fix!
I get this message on the log when running Verify Disk Permissions:

How can I install Lion on a mac mini Model 4.1 late 2009 ? I erased OX 10.6.8. Have tried numerous times. Iam using the usb card from apple store.

You can use Migration Assistant in Applications > Utilities to get all your files from one iMac to the other. If you want to upgrade your older model to MtLion you need to have at least a mid 2007 Intel Core 2 Duo with a bare minimum of 2GB of RAM. Then you need to buy the Snow Leopard 10.6.3 DVD , update with
Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
at which point you can access the App Store to purchase and install MtLion 10.8 where you would then have access to the iCloud.

Can't install Lion from usb to my mac pro!!!

I created a USB boot disk per instructions and when it boots on my Mac Pro all it goes to is the Safari Only interface with no options to install anything. Just to be sure I boot to the same USB on my Macbook Air and I get the OS X Lion install options/interface so the USB key works.
I have a brand new 3TB drive as the install disc. I did boot to a Snow Leopard install disc so that I could format the drive correctly as the USB key didn't give me those options. In any case I can't install Lion for some reason to this machine. Any ideas?
It's a 2.8Ghz Quad Core Mac Pro bought in Oct of 2008.

It's not specifically hardware specific. But IIRC the Air computers used a special version of Lion, at least when Lion first came out.
Try this, use LionDiskMaker to create the USB installer.

See if that creates a usable USB stick.

Can't install Lions as it says disk needs repairing. Can't repair it, can't erase it! Tried restoring from Time Capsule. It finds the backups but then can't find the HD to restore to.
Now totally screwed! Any suggestions?

Lengthy visit to Genius Bar today. Had to erase disk completely (soooooo glad I have Time Capsule) and reinstall a Known Good version of Lion onboard. Then a 4 hour reload of last backup from Time Capsule. All good now.

You can also use the OS X Lion installer from the Mac App Store to create an external bootable drive, complete with a Recovery HD partition. See this article for more details. This approach will, at least, create a bootable drive with Recovery HD which you can carry with you in case you need to use Internet Restore or make use of the other utilities Recovery HD provides.

If it's the same email address Apple registration on both, use the 2nd computer and go to the App Store and find Lion. If different, use the second computer but log in to the App store with the address you used on the first go round. The buy button should instead say install. Then go through the same process again.

Did you completely erase your drive when you reinstalled SL? If not, I would make sure that you erase the drive completely. Then install SL and make sure you run Software Update. If you already did all of those, then do it again, but this time make a bootable drive for Lion using the Lion OS X Install App. I believe you can find instructions on how to do that by searching this community or doing a google search.
Once you have a bootable drive of Lion, then shut your machine down. Plug in the bootable drive and turn the machine on. Once you hear the tone hold down 'C' until you see the spinning clock/bars. The Lion Install menu should appear. If not, try going to the Apple icon and select Startup. Next a window should appear showing your bootable drive. Select that and follow the directions.
Make sure that when you reinstall SL that you don't restore any of your Apps or files yet, wait to do that once you have Lion installed.

Yes from what I read Lion server is just an Application that run on, ,and changes certain things, in the normal Lion OS.
