Can't install Mobile Server Repository

Does any one had succeded installed the 9i lite server Repository?

I am also having problems with the repository wizard. During the repository install process a Schema name and password dialog window fails. The message I get is " Please enter the password that is not a Oracle SQL Plus key word" I am assuming this is a wizard client failure since I don't see a request to the data base taken place. What I expect this may be is a Java compile issue. The install wizard is a Java client and I expect the build requires the correct class versions to run properly. I am very annoyed with Oracle for continually putting together incomplete install processes and expect the users to debug their scripts. Hope we can work out a solution!! Let me know if you find anything.

Could not resolve service name when installing Mobile Server

Hi,
when installing mobile server I am prompted for the SYSTEM pwd and then get "ORA-12154: Could not resolve service name". I install lite in a different home (LITE_HOME) than the database. Database's TNSNAMES.ORA looks like (I added the webtogo.world entry myself)

I can connect from sqlplus:

Java version is 1.3.1_08, which I think is correct.

Hi,
When you install Oracle Lite the valid TNSNAMES.ora becomes the one that is coming with Oracle Lite.
From now on when you must create a tns name you must create it in the Oracle Lite's tnsnames.ora file unless you specify which tnsnames file you will use in the registry.
You can find tnsnams.ora file in the below path:
<OracleLite_HOME>\network\admin\

makes a lot of sense. I am looking for an answer myself. My documents folder long ago outgrew it's place on the boot drive. It would be nice to keep it in the user folder organized on another disc

I have new hardware that came with windows 7 pre-installed. It meets and exceeds hardware requirements. Can i install Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials on this machine. What is the procedure? Any help would be grateful.

Hi.
I agree with Milos on this; if you want to install Windows Server 2012 Essentials on a machine which suppose to use Windows 7, I would use it solely for test purposes.
Could you tell us what the computer specifications are???
For anything more serious (and I can see that you want to use this machine for accounting software), I would suggest purchasing a server machine.
However, if you really really want this machine to be Windows Server 2012 Essentials, check this article on technet:

Can't install weblogic server sp5(apache bridge) on linux

Hi.
I can't install weblogic server service pack 5(weblogic for apache
bridge,mod_wl.so) on redhat linux 6.2,my apache server version is 1.3, and
it work without sp5,when I use new mod_wl.so overwrite old one, apache
server can't start.

What exact problems are you having? I'm using WLS 5.1 SP5 + apache
1.3.12 + mod_ssl just fine.

Without giving us any details about what error you got, or any circumstances of your environment (just the OS isn't enough), there is no way anyone could give you any help.

You can only install Exchange 2013 SP1 on Server 2012 R2
As far as I know Exchange 2010 SP3 can't be installed on R2 . The other Exchange Servers are too old

Yes you can, but you should be aware of the limitations of MS SQL Express version.
1. 1GB RAM
2. 10 GB database size per database excluding log file (SQL 2008 R2 and above)
3.Job Scheduling service is not available with SQL Server Express.
4.Data import and export feature is not available with SQL Server Express.
5.Limitation on number of CPU

Yes from what I read Lion server is just an Application that run on, ,and changes certain things, in the normal Lion OS.

Connecting to the Mobile Server Repository

Having finally installed Oracle Lite for 9i succesfully and adding the mobile repository to my current database with no issues.
I've been following the configuration guide in the documentation and I am attempting a stand alone mode. However... when I get to the point of trying to connect to http://<Mobile_Server_name>:<port_number>/webtogo/startup the browser appears to be connecting and then just stops displaying nothing (or the previous webpage content); no error page or anything.
Would the mobile_server_name be localhost?

Oracle Universal Installer and Oracle Inventory issue.
try the following

* Uninstall all Oracle components using the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI).
* Run regedit.exe and delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ORACLE key. This contains registry entires for all Oracle products.
* Delete any references to Oracle services left behind in the following part of the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Ora*
It should be pretty obvious which ones relate to Oracle.
* Reboot your machine.
* Delete the "C:\Oracle" directory, or whatever directory is your ORACLE_BASE.
* Delete the "C:\Program Files\Oracle" directory.
* Empty the contents of your "c:\temp" directory.
* Empty your recycle bin.
At this point your machine will be as clean of Oracle components as it can be without a complete OS reinstall.
Remember, manually editing your registry can be very destructive and force an OS reinstall so only do it as a last resort.

You need to enable .NET Framework 3.5 using Control Panel
Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn on or off features.
Install or enable PowerShell 2.0 also.

for installing the second Windows Server 2008 includes on the Premium Edition you do not Need to download a Iso file.
