Can't install odac on Windows 2008 64 bit

After i run setup.exe, i get an error c0000374 in javaw.exe. Tell me please if odac officially supported on windows 2008 64-bit ?

Oh, and for those looking for the Win2k8 bundle , it's available now too, and should have the odac pieces built in.

Note that it wont have the Oracle Developer Tools though, as those are 32 bit since VS is 32 bit.

  • Can we run domain controller windows 2008 32 bit and additional domain controller on 2003 server

im my environment we are trying to upgrade from server 2k3 to 2k8, out testing done on server 2k3 to 2k8, but can we run domain controller windows 2008 32 bit and additional domain controller on 2003 server ...kindly suggest

Yes you can. If you have two 2003 AD servers currently and upgrade one of them to 2008 AD then they'll continue to be able to work together. The domains functional level will remain as 2003 across both servers so at this stage you won't get any benefit from
the new AD functionality available in 2008.
Once you've then upgraded the second 2003 server to 2008 you can then upgrade the functionality levels in AD to make it 2008. It's been a while, but I believe it doesn't happen automatically, so once all AD servers have been upgraded you have to go into
AD and upgrade the functionality levels yourself.

  • Oracle Client version (32 or 64 bit) to install on a Windows 2008 64-bit m/

    Hi guys,
      I am installing BOXI 3.1 SP2 on a Windows 2008 64-bit server.
Which Oracle 10g client (32 or 64 bit) should I install on a 64-bit software. I know BO is native 32 bit, so ODBCs should be 32 bit incase CMS repositories are on SQL server.
Is there a standard for Business Objects for the versions of database client tools to be installed on server?
Also can we install database clients tools after the Business Objects 3.1 SP2 install on the server, provided I am using SQL server dbs for CMS and Audit databases?
    Thanks,
    G Bala

    @Duncan
You recommend using 32 bit Oracle client. Is there any official documents from SAP BO stating this? I have difficulties finding anything. I'm in the same situation:
    OS : Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit
    BO : 32bit
    Oracle Client : 32bit OR 64bit?????
Is BO 32bit compatible with Oracle Client 64bit, at the level of using Infoview/Desktop Intelligence?

  • Can't installed itunes for window 7 32-bit

i cant installed iTunes 10.5.2 for window 7 (32-bit)...i already use any browser but still cannot install.

All I can say is make sure you are the administrator and if not right-click on the installation program and click "Run as Administrator", and delete all traces of iTunes off the computer, i.e. delete the folder C:\Program Files\ipod as you say. Make sure it is the latest version of iTunes and is for Windows Vista (not XP). Another thing to point out is to make sure your Computer is compatible with iTunes 8.2 (perhaps try installing iTunes 8.0/8.1 by searching for the link in Google).
If you have done all of that and it still does not install then I do not know what is wrong. As iTunes is one of the many applications i use 24/7 (pretty much) and I use it all the time, I would try installing it on a similar Windows Machine with a similar configuration and it works, I would reinstall Windows on your personal computer. If not, take the case further as I cannot think of anything else that could be wrong, so long as you have not edited the installation program or anything Good luck.

It looks like it's having trouble getting one of the iTunes preference files in. There's a couple in each user account (usually in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes and C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes).
Has a version of iTunes previously been successfully installed on that PC? If so, was it working properly prior to your doing the current installs?
What hard drive is your "Users" folder on? Is it the C drive or somewhere else?
If it's somewhere else, are your Program files also on that other drive or are they on the C drive?

  • Can't install catalyst on windows 7 64 bit

Hi, I'm a newbie to adobe and just got production suite which has catalyst, I had to upgrade from xp to windows 7 64 bit which was A clean Install so lost everything. I have issues with catalyst not installing at all with it saying there are errors, I see from other posts people talking about java, would this effect the install as I don't have it. Or does it sound like a software issue. I have the CDs.

When i try to install iTunes, or QuickTime, i get:

Also, this post seems to indicate the problem is caused by a faulty .net.

Try uninstalling all versions of .Net and then reinstalling .net Framework 4.5 from here:

Then run Windows update to get the latest .net patches.  After all this, try the Quicktime/Itunes install again.

  • I have Microsoft Office 2011 Student Edition installed on MacBook Pro; Can I install Microsoft Office Windows 2008 onto Mac without deleting Microsoft Office 2011?

I have previously installed Microsoft Office Student Edition 2011 on my MacBook Pro.  While installing Microsoft Office 2008 Windows; message prompts to delete Microsoft Office 2011.  Is there a way around this issue?

Office 2008 was a Mac version. The equvalent Win version is 2007. So there is no "Office 2008 Windows." Which version are your trying to install?
Are you using Boot Camp to run Win on your MBP and want to install Office for Win there? I can't see that being a problem..
I do know that the regular version of Office Mac won't run properly if the trial version is present. The installer is set up to look for other versions, resumably to keep the trial version and the regualr from clashing.
Office Mac 2011 is equiv to Office for Win 2010

  • Can not install itunes on window 7 64 bit

When ever I try to install itunes 10.6.3, I receive a message "the installer encountered errors before itunes could be configured....errors occured during installation".  I have attempted to install itunes using the "download only" method.  I have also uninstalled all previous versions of the software but nothing works. Help!!!!

An error occurred while attempting to create the directory: C\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\com.apple.Safari.client.resources\pt.lproj
So after I have to hit cancel I get another message saying basically error code 2330.
That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards?

  • I can't install itunes to windows 7 64 bit because of computing space requirements

I tried to install iTunes 10.7 on my computer but it stops when the installation says :computing space requirements. Then it just says "rolling back action", "the installation was unsuccessful". I don't know what's going on because I have more than 40 GB of free space on my hard disk drive. I also tried with an older version of iTunes but it keeps doing the same thing.

  • Can't Install Itunes on Windows 7 64-bit due to unwanted updater

OK, so I've known for years that Apple puts a WHOLE lot of crap on your computer when you install Itunes.  It asks you specifically if you want to automatically update Apple software, and no matter how hard you click the NO box, it puts the apple updater there anyway.
I just purchased my first piece of Apple hardware, namely an iPod touch, and due to this failure of Apple to respect my software wishes, it turns out I've wasted my money because the Apple Software Updater fails to install due to security restrictions.
I run the Itunes installer as administrator.  I have given full rights to my logged in Windows user to every folder related to Apple in the Program Data folder.  I have spent a couple of hours trying every fix that is availalble in the Apple forums and the Microsoft forums, to no avail.
Seems to me the BEST fix is for Apple to drop the arrogance of forcing me to install the Apple updater in the first place, and trust me to know when I want to download a newer version of Itunes.
This is not the first time I've seen this happen with 64-bit versions of Windows.   My guess is that I'll have to extract the Itunes app from the itunes.exe installer, and hopefully be able to install only the software I want.  But at the moment I'm kind of peeved that I have to jump through those hoops, and of course, it's entirely possible that won't work at all either.  And of course, without iTunes, the iPod touch is completely useless.
