Can't install OS 10.9.5 update in App Store
I was able to install a series of updates from Apple yesterday except for the OS update for 10.9.5. I keep getting the following error indicating that I don't have permission. Since all the other updates worked, I'm not sure why this specific one won't work. I did a "repair permissions" on my drive just in case. As an aside, the update worked find on my iMac (the one that failed was on my MacBook Pro) using the same apple id.

I have an iPhone 4S, with the latest OS, 5.01 I believe it is. Most everything is great except everytime I have updates to download and install through the app store, I get a message saying "cannot install livingsocial and 6 other apps." The issue is that I only had livingsocial for a couple weeks then deleted it. That was a few weeks ago. Also I have no idea what the other 6 are. All my updates install fine, I just keep getting this message. And livingsocial and whatever the other 6 apps are never show up in the updates section, I just keep getting the stupid message. I click ok and it goes away. How do I get it to stop trying to install these apps? I've seen a ton of information about something similar happening on sync, but my issue is occurring during AppStore updates for which I can find no information!
That seems like a really odd coincidence that both ours say "and 6 other apps." As far as the app waiting thing, I've never tried tapping it twice, but I would hold down til all the apps started shaking to move or delete, but this one is the only one with no x for delete, so when I tap it nothing happens. I have tapped it repeatedly but never exactly twice. But after a short while, no matter what I do, it will just disappear on its own. In fact, I saw your "tap twice" message very soon after you posted it and was going to try it, but it had already disappeared by then.

Actually, you cannot download Snow Leopard. You downloaded a Snow Leopard updater. -
iPad1 can not install software 4.3.2 update - message - due to corrupt backup - but when I go to delete backup there is no backup in the device section of itunes under preferences
The problem was cured by going to <user>/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup and moving the files from that folder to desktop and the ipad backed up and the software installed

How can I install the iMac Graphics Firmware Update 2.0, if the screen is white and I can't get to the Apple menu? My computer has 5 vertical purple lines against white screen at startup before the Apple logo appears and the spinning gear...then everything disappears and the screen hangs on the white screen. I have tried unplugging and removing all my peripherals and the COMMAND, OPTION, P & R set of keys and still nothing. I have tried COMMAND C to start up from cd and it only tells me to turn off the computer and turn it back on. I found information on Apple's Support pages regarding the iMac Graphics Firmware Update but I am unable to download and install if I can't get to the Apple menu. Can anyone help?
You may have hardware problem, I think a visit to your local Apple Store or AASP is in order.

I'm using a mid 2014 13" rmbp. I reinstall the Yosemite due to the wifi issue, when finished, the iMovie was not installed, I try to download it from app store, but it's not free. How can I get iMovie back?
It's something to do with the main user account (not iTunes account) on my Mac because I logged in with another account and it downloaded fine, I installed it on the HDD and even though the date in App Store was 16th October 2014, it is the full installer of 10.10.2.
To try to resolve this problem, I have copied the installer app elsewhere and deleted it but App Store still will not allow me to download it with my main user account yet just allowed me to update iTunes.
I had a brainwave last night that it might have been related to me changing the default downloads folder to one not on my boot drive (to save disk space on my main boot drive) but having changed it back, tried again, rebooted and tried yet again, deleted my App Store preferences. nothing has worked. -

What do you mean by 'refusing from the system', if you are getting an error message then what does it say ?
For a credit card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. If when trying to download you are getting a message about a 'problem with a previous purchase' then that implies that iTunes wasn't able to collect the money for your last purchase. On your iPad you can tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or you can do it via your computer's iTunes by logging into your account by going into the Store > View Account menu option, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

Ipad does not recognise programms .dmgYou can't. Silverlight applications won't work on iOS devices.
.dmg files are typically Mac OS X disk image files, you can't run them on an iPad either.

I can't update my app store, I have tried changing the password and signing it out and in through the settings but each time I want to update it keeps bring out the old apple ID and requesting for a password,, pls what do I do ??
By old Apple Id do you mean a previous version of your existing account (e.g. you've changed the primary email address on it) or a separate account ? All content is tied to the account that bought/downloaded it, so if they were downloaded via a different account then only that account will be able to download updates to those apps.

From the day 01/04/2014, I can not even update the apps on my iPad 4 or buy via my iPad. The same happens with the iPad mini ... My internet connection being excellent. Yes, if this is a permanent change. But you still have to have all the other changes - billing address, credit card, residence, etc. See Manage My Apple ID.
