Can't install paypal extension onto DW 8

My hdd crashed and I end reinstalled everything back on my
new hdd, but after I reinstalled the DW 8, and I want to add the
paypal extension (PayPal420.mxp) and amongst other extensions that
I have in my collection, but it errors out saying that "can't
update menus. The extension will not be installed" This is under
Macromedia Extension Manager dialog box.
Anyone have any idea to why it errors out like this?

Please click "Tools"->"Preferences" menu item, uncheck "Allow Extension Manager to access Internet" option, then retry.

Boot Camp will only let you install onto an internal disk. This is largely because of Windows restrictions, not Mac OS restrictions. The beta thread has some supposed approaches to let you do this, using manual steps instead of using Boot Camp Assistant.

  • Can't install safari extensions, I get the error message "Safari can't install this extension, An error occurred while installing the extension "Pin It Button"." Any suggestions?

Every time I try and install an extension for Safari I get the error message "Safari can’t install this extension, An error occurred while installing the extension “Pin It Button”." I have all the latest updates, working on OS X Yosemite v 10.10.2 / Safari v 8.0.3. Any suggestions?

Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access window to search for an item named "Safari Extensions List". If found, delete it. Quit Keychain Access.
    Quit and relaunch Safari.

  • I can't install Rosetta Stone onto my new Mac OSX (version 10.7.5).  It says it "can't open application because Power PC applications are no longer supported."  Is there any way to install?

I can't install Rosetta Stone onto my new Mac OSX (version 10.7.5)
    Any suggestions?
The message says "can't open application because Power PC applications are no longer supported."
    Thanks!

Thank you... spoke to Rosetta Stone and they said the same thing, and the give a nice discount when upgrading.
Normally 5 levels of a language run about $479.  When upgrading, you can get the same 5 levels for $199.
    Fewer levels costs even less.

This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
              Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
    resetp
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
               ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

If you registered the product with Adobe the number should be in your account.
You will need to come here via your web browser

Then click on the red Adobe logo (top let on the page) and choose manage account. You should then be able to browse your purchase history and registered products.

  • Can't install any extensions.  "Installing Extension" dialogue just spins away and nothing happens.

I can't install any extensions at all after installing CC 2014.  All I get is the Installing Extensions dialogue box with the loading bar stuck about 1/4 of the way.

Would you send the log to us?
    1.  Create a file called exmancoreliblog.yes and copy it to
    Mac: /Users/<name>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log/
    Windows: C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Log
    2. Restart Extension Manager and reproduce your issue
    3. Send us ExManCoreLibrary.log file in that log folder to [email protected]

  • How can I install my CS5 onto my MacBook Air?

How can I install my CS5 onto my MacBook Air? I have my serial number, but I can't find anywhere to download the program on the Adobe site. The physical CDs are useless w/MacBook Air.
    Thanks!
    Emily

The physical disks are OK with MacBook Air if you buy a cheap external DVD drive and connect via USB. That's how I install DVD software on my MacBook Air.
That said, you can download the software from http://prodesigntools.com/adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
Follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first otherwise the links won't work.

  • How can I install an extension using Extension Manager CC?

    I have a mac running OSX 10.9.4.
    I have Photoshop CC 2014.1.0 / 20140730.r.148 x64
I have Extension Manager CC 7.2.1.6
According to "Creative Cloud" manager,  my versions of software are up to date.
I tried installing three different extensions.  None of them load. When I double click on the extension file, it launches Extension Manager CC, but it appears that Extension Manager does not recognize that I have other Adobe products installed.  E.g., "Failed to install the extension 'XYZ.' Please make sure the manifest.xml of this extension is valid and the Extension Manager recognizes at least one product which the extension supports."  I get variations on this message, but the common thread seems to be "Extension Manager recognizes at least one product which the extension supports."
When I choose "Manage Extensions" from the Help menu in Photoshop, it just launches "Creative Cloud" manager, which tells me all of the software is up to date.  (The first time that I tried this, it re-installed Extension Manager CC). Nothing else happens -- e.g., it does not launch Extension Manager.
Any suggestions?  How do I get Extension Manager CC to recognize that I have Photoshop CC installed?

One more thing -- I have seen references in postings to an "Extension Panel" under the "Window" menu.  I do not see that item in Photoshop CC.  (There is "Browse Extensions Online," which allows me to find more things that I can't load).

  • How can I install an extension when it conflicts with an existing one that doesn't appear in the list of extensions?

I'm trying to install Guide Guide for Photoshop CS 2014 using the Adobe Extension Manager CC but when clicking on the 3.1.2-guideguide.zxp I recieve the following error, "This extension cannot be installed, since it conflicts with a existing one. To install this extension, please remove the extension 'GuideGuide' which has been installed in ", then install again."  Note that there is some code breaking in there where ", is.  When I open Adobe Extension Manager CC there are no extensions listed.  None under any of the products to the left.  I can't uninstall it if it's not listed.
After reviewing the forums I have gone into my %appdata%\Roaming\Adobe\ folder and removed all folders for previous versions of Adobe Extension Manager.
Any help with this issue would be appreciated.  Thank you for your time.

Please delete "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Configuration\DB\ExMan.db" then retry. Note that "C:\ProgramData" is hidden by default. You can input C:\ProgramData in the address bar of Windows Explorer then press "Enter" key to go into this folder.

  • Can't install OS X onto external firewire

    Hello all,
I have a strange issue going on and apple care won't support it because I am booting an external drive. I have an older ibook and a macbook pro. I have an external drive that has one partition with OS X on it, and another partition for backing up disk images to. I boot up into the OS X on the external drive to make image backups of my Mac HD onto the other partition of the external using superduper.
Here's my problem, I can do this perfectly with the ibook....but not the macbook. When I boot the computer holding down the option key it doesn't even show the external drive as an option as a startup disk. I though maybe because I installed the OS X on the drive using the ibook and an older retail Tiger disk, I should try to reinstall using the macbook's restore disk and do it through the macbook...just in case. When I startup with the install disk, it says that I cannot install OS X onto the external drive.
I am using a lacie drive here. I have created bootable backups using superduper on this drive, and successfully booted the drive many times in the past. So I know it is not that the drive is not bootable, but I don't know what else could be causing this.
Any ideas on this one? I'm getting frustrated, and I'm sure I am just overlooking something here!
    From a friend in need!

    Welcome to the Forums!
What you are overlooking is that PPC-based computers like your iBook and Intel-based computers like the MacBook Pro require different partition schemes for their boot disks. Your external HDD is formatted properly for PPC booting (Apple Partition Scheme), and thus your Intel Mac, which requires a GUID partition to boot from, cannot boot from it.
There is a way to configure your HDD to boot both types of Macs, but it's a bit complex. Instructions can be found here:

    Hope this helps...
