Can't install Skype (6.18), Code 1638
Instead of auto-updating skype, the program manually asked me to install the recent update. When I tried to, it gave me an error saying:
Installing Skype Failed; code 1638
Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs in
It didn't even finish the last sentence. I'm running Windows 7 Professional, and tried to unistall the program in the Windows Control Panel, but it didn't show up. I followed it up until I was supposed to run the reinstaller, but it gave me the same error as when I tried to update it before.

I used Program_Install_and_Uninstall troubleshooter, but Skype didn't show up. I chose product is not on the list, and it asked for the product code, which I don't have.
Right now, I don't have any Skype files on my computer that I can find in the registry or on the C: drive, so I don't know what could be left. Hopefully someone can help me.

Try to clear any currently installed version using this MS Fix It:

Can't install Skype on Android lollipop for Sony X...
I Just updated mi Android to lollipop and what was my surprise Skype wasn't working so I unistalled it and tried to install it again but it can't be even downloaded, had tried several times and always get error code 495. Any ideas??? I do need it for my work meetings and familiar issues.

hello! I have a new computer, windows 7.
I tried install skype... I download a 1 megabyte file from this site (skype.com).
I opened this file and run the installetion, but when it make it to 100% it's says that there is a problem with connecting the download and it is give me a link to another file download (23 megabyte). when I open the new install file, an error message shows up on my screen...
can you help me to sovle this problem so I will be able to install skype?

When i tried to update skype it geave me error duplicate provider authorities, so i uninstaled it to try and install new version, but now i can't install it at all, cause it geave me same error duplicate provider authorities. Pls help, i need skype on my phone.
Run "pacman -Qo /usr/include/GL/gl.h" to see to which package that file belongs.
Running "pacman -Sf mesa" shouldn't break anything.

Can't install skype on Win XP SP3
Hello. I am trying to install skype using SkypeFull installer and I know Skype 7 will work on XP SP3 as I have other working computer with it. The installer starts and shows the loading bar but after a while it gives error message. System: AMD Sempron 2500+, 1.75GHz, 512MB, Windows XP SP3 It complains about some internal system files like dlls. 40 to be exact. Can't install skype on Windows 7 64 bit
Hi,
I'm trying to install skype's current verion (downloaded from the site)
After choosing language etc, it get's stuck on "Intalling, might take a few minutes"...
my windows version is Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit
my ie-explorer version is IE11 (11.0.9)
I've recently formatted my computer and reinstalled the OS, so everything is quite fresh and new...

I'm using Ubuntu OS 13.10 and I cant install skype. I did at first but was havig problems connecting so I uninstalled it and now am trying to reinstall but it wont work.
Please help me someone.As you have tried earlier versions of AIR (alpha/beta), so that maybe causing the problem with installation of latest runtime.

1. touch ~/.airinstall.log
2. chmod +x <path-of-AdobeAIRInstaller.bin>
3. ./<path-of-AdobeAIRInstaller.bin>
4. Continue with the installation till it fails
open the log file (~/.airinstall.log) and send its contents to [email protected]
this will help us in resolving the issue

Can't install skype on Windows 10
So i upgraded to Windows 10 and afterwards started installing Skype.
It gives system failure (-1073741819), but it has worked for years without any problems whatsoever. Even when reinstalling numerous times.Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool. Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post. Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

Can't install Logic, invalid key code that I know works
I bought Logic Express last year and I tried to install it today on my new refurbished iMac. I lost the instruction manual with the code on it so I looked up the license information on my old mac and wrote down the code, but when I tried to use that code it said it was invalid. Then I tried copying the program onto my external hard drive and then copying it again onto my hard drive on the mac, but it needed the code again and then said it was invalid.
Is this because I still have it installed on my old Mac? I tried to use migration assistant because I assume it was made for this type of thing, but it doesn't work either. I can't get a connection between the computers.It's unlikely that having LE still installed on your old computer prevents you from using the code for installing it on the new one. Check if you copied the licence key right and its format first. Also, if you had your LE registered with Apple, you can get in touch with them via Support and retrieve your licence key, I guess.

Can't Install Flash CS5 - Exit Code:7
Hey guys I've tried multiple times installing adobe flash cs5, and everytime I get the same problem. I'l post the log below.
I noticed though, when I selected Spanish, as the language I want it installed in it worked and installed perfectly, but when I select English (NA) then it refuses to work.
