Can't install Studio 8

Hi,
my mac is running wonderful with a Sonnet 1,4 GHz-CPU: Computername: Power Mac G4
Computermodell: PowerMac3,4
CPU-Typ: PowerPC G4 (3.3)
Anzahl der CPUs: 1
CPU-Geschwindigkeit: 1.4 GHz
L2-Cache (pro CPU): 256 KB
L3-Cache (pro CPU): 2 MB
Speicher: 1.25 GB
Busgeschwindigkeit: 133 MHz
Boot-ROM-Version: 4.2.8f1
This is what the System Profiler in "About this Mac" tells me.
LOGIC Pro 6.4.3 runs very good. The Studio 8 Upgrade -Installer writes: "Your Mac needs 500 MHz or more, You've got 0 MHz. Quit installation.
What can I do?
Thank You very much for Your help.

It's probably because you have an third-party/unsupported CPU configuration (the Sonnet thing).
You might need to edit the installer package to change the installation requirements. How to do this has been posted before, it was an OSXHints tip originally. A search should turn it up...

  • Can you install Studio on more than 1 Mac?

I have just bought a new Macbook to replace my old one and I installed my Studio with FCP 7.03 onto it successfully. However I nearly had a heart attack, when I opened FCP on my old machine and it said "WE HAVE DETECTED AN IDENTICAL SERIAL NUMBER ON YOUR NETWORK!!!!!" and it wouldn't let me continue. Is my old Mac with all its programmes about to be zapped from on high??

Your license with FCP allows installation on 1 desktop and 1 laptop providing:
    1. Both machines are owned by you
    2. You do not run the application on both machines at the same time.
If you need to run multiple copies of FCP, purchase enough licenses.

  • How many computers can I install Final Cut Studio 2 on?

Here's my dilemma. I'm a poor soon-to-be college grad with an old 2004 PowerBook G4. I'm starting to do video projects this summer and want to get a new computer and Final Cut Studio 2. The problem is, I don't have money for both. However, my current computer DOES meet the requirements (1GB RAM, 1.5Ghz engine, and 17" monitor) to install the apps and run them. So, ideally, I would buy Final Cut Studio 2 and install it on this old computer until I saved up enough money to get myself a Mac Book Pro in a few months. Then, I would install FCS 2 on my new computer. Is this possible? Can I install FCS 2 on my old G4 and then months later when I get a new computer, on my new computer? Or at least transfer the apps to my new computer?
Thanks ahead of time! I haven't gone computer shopping in a while so I don't remember how this all works!

Install it on the PowerBook, and when you get the MacBook Pro, download and use this tool on the PowerBook prior to installing it on the MacBook Pro. The license for Final Cut Studio 2 permits it to be installed on a desktop and portable but not two portables.
If you're in the middle of a project when you get the MacBook Pro, complete it before changing the configuration.

  • Can I install Final Cut Studio on the G5 I have?

Currently have Final Cut 5.0.4 - I just purchased Final Cut Studio 2 and am nervous about installing it on this computer. From the box specs, it appears as though this computer meets all specs except the VRAM for 16 and 32 bit rendering. (It says I need 128 MB, but my graphics card is 64 MB.)
Any advice on what problems this might cause and if I should or should not install Studio 2 on this computer?
    Any input is appreciated.

I think you'll be able to run Motion, as long as you stay 8 or 10 bit.
You may remember that I wrote:
So if you do all your work in regular 8 or 10-bit, it should work.
It's difficult to upgrade a computer that old, as you probably realize.
    I'm not sure whether your computer is a M9454LL/A or a M9555LL/A
I checked out these spec pages:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP80
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP67
and it seems that, if you can find this card
ATI RADEON 9600 XT with 128MB DDR SDRAM
(wihch was used on the faster G5s of that series)
it should plug in and work.
In any case, Motion needs a good graphics card.
My suggestion? Go ahead and install FCS on your G5 and get to work.
When you can afford an Intel machine, you can install it on the new machine
    and go crazy!

  • How many macs can I install Logic studio on?

Ok so i recently bought my first ever iMac.
And i installed logic studio on it, but I am considering a Mac Pro because honestly; i love my iMac but i kind of just want this imac for 'personal' things (movies, music, family photos, videos ect.)
    and I want a Mac Pro just for logic and any other PRO apps I buy later on. So i was wondering if anyone can help me with the question i have;
How many macs can I install Logic studio on?

It's in your Logic Studio license agreement:
    2. Permitted License Uses and Restrictions.
    A. This License allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software on one Apple-labeled desktop computer and one Apple-labeled laptop computer so long as both computers are owned and used by you. This License does not allow the Apple Software to run on more than one computer at a time.

  • Windows Phone 8.1 can't install "Windows Phone App Studio certificate"

I try to install the certificates from provided on appstudio.windowsphone.com/Home/HowTo
choose "Open" device go to "Add workplace account"  I choose "add"
    nothing happen
and can't install my app in next step
    thank you

I'm having the exact same issue. I've made the whole app, and received the email from Microsoft. After receiving & reading the email, I (on my Dev Preview Windows Phone 8.1) tapped on the "click here" to install the certificate for my phone. Upon tapping,
I was given the screen "open" or "save. I've tried both now. Neither of them work, though. It's simply the AET.aetx file. I click on "tap to open", and yes, it does open just fine. However, it simply takes me to "add workplace account?" I have also tried both
"add" or "cancel". Both simply return you to the IE page. Nothing seems to be going on, but I thought that perhaps it may be downloading in the background. So, I simply waited for a bit, and then tried downloading my actual app (from the email). However, it
tells me that I need an app to open the file (App.Studio.WindowsPhone_1.0.0.0_AnyCPU.appx). This is where I am stuck at as of now. I'm sure I'm missing an obvious step, but I'm really just not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You do know that win 8.1 preview will expire on Jan 15th right?  Preview is a beta build and if I were you I wouldn't worry about VS not installing until you upgrade to the released build of 8.1

  • Buying Final Cut Studio second hand- can I install on Mac Pro?

I'm going to buy Final Cut Studio software from a friend, who has registered the application with Apple. Can I install the software on my Mac Pro without problems? The previous owner had it installed on a MacBook Pro.

As long as they delete it from their computer, you should be fine....

  • I can't install multi language pack - english for visual studio 2013 update 3

Error : Microsoft portable library multi-targeting  language pack - enu element not fount
Error : Microsoft visual studio 2013 performance collection tools - ENU package failed.
I have downloaded visual studio 2013 in some other language. I wanted to change it to English so I downloaded multi language pack- English and installed. I came up with the above error. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

I don't know of a reason you posted your question in a Visual Basic forum. You should probably find a Visual Studio forum to post your question in.
However I've never tried to do what you want to do. But maybe these links can assist you.
Microsoft Language Interface Packs (LIPs) and Visual Studio
"When you install different language versions of Visual Studio on the same computer, you can only switch languages between matching editions. For example, if you have an English Express Edition installed, a German Express Edition installed, and a Professional
Edition installed, you can only switch languages for the Express Editions, not for the Professional Edition.
Starting with Visual Studio 2012, the Professional, Premium, and Ultimate products use a unified language pack. To install more than one language version of these products, you must install a full language product first and then install one or more language
packs." |||||||||| "NOTE: The Professional, Premium, and Ultimate products starting in Visual Studio 2012 don't support installing multiple language versions of the full language product on the same computer. After you install one

  • I Can't install my NEW Final Cut Studio 2

I Can't install my NEW Final Cut Studio 2;During the initial installation process the applications are dimmed and it tells me that I have to upgrade the previous version, but my "previous" version is Final Cut Studio "ACADEMIC" (FCP 5) which doesn't allow upgrades!. When I enter the previous version's serial # it refuses it and the serial # of the new one doesn't allow me to install. I paid full price for the new FCS2 because I am not elegible to upgrade from an "academic" version... Anyone with a solution... Urgent. I am to start a new project/new client on Monday am
    thanks in advance

Did you uninstall the 1st version with AppZapper? Gotta be some registry type files still lingering around.
    Thanks for your response.
I installed using the conventional DVD's sent by Apple. I installed them on my previous computer a MacBook Pro and it was copied with the rest of its contents when upgrading to my new MacPro.

  • Can I install just FCP from Final Cut Studio?

I currently run an old version of FCP on a 4-year-old dual 533 G4, so it doesn't have enough power to run Motion or DVD Studio 3. I plan to buy a new G5 in about 6 months, but in the meantime I want to run FCP 5 on my old machine. Can I install just the FCP upgrade from the FC Studio disk?

Yup - and fyi fcp 5 & DVD Sp 4 run fine on my old girl (same as yours).
Motion won't install as you know.

  • Can I install my new Final Cut Studio 2 on more than one of my computers.

Can I install my new Final Cut Studio 2 on more than one of my computers.
    I have a Power Mac G5 and I am buying a iMac 2.8 Intel 24"
Can I install my Final Cut Studio 2 on both computers?
The G5 I leave at home and the iMac I travel with.

    Hi The Bunnell Farm-
Greetings and welcome to the Apple boards.
Legally you must have only one copy installed at any one time on any one machine. By definition, you would need a second purchased copy in order to run it legally on the 2nd Mac.

  • Can't Install Final Cut Studio 2.0

What the **** is going on? I just got a new iMac and the Universal software I own can't install? Is there no workaround - no alternate installers available? You have got to be kidding me.
    Any help would be appreciated.
I love how Steve Jobs was known for "Think Different" - yes they hit a home run out of the park with certain products - but they get a huge #EpicFail in customer service.

Here's a user tip on installing fcp

In particular, there's a link to this

  • We can't install Office 2013 64-bit on a Win 7 PC that had a 32-bit version of Office

We have a development PC running Windows 7 64-bit. This PC has been around for a while, and way back had various 32-bit versions of Office installed, starting with Office 2003 through 2010. Those versions were uninstalled and Office 2013 Pro
Plus 32-bit was the latest version installed. That version was uninstalled using Revo Uninstaller then the registry was cleaned using JV16 to make sure leftover junk from the prior 32 bit version(s) was removed so we could install Office 2013 x64
Pro Plus, which we now need for testing. It won't install because the installer sees something left over from the prior 32 bit version(s). We can't wipe the PC and start over; it has special sensor hardware and software that we can't move to a different PC
and we're on a tight timeline. We searched the registry and the Program Files (x86) folder and subfolders for anything left over from Office without any luck. The error message reads:
We can't install the 64-bit version of Office because we found the following 32-bit
    programs on your PC:
Please uninstall all 32-bit Office programs, then try reinstalling 64-bit Office.
Note that the error message doesn't list the name(s) of any "32-bit programs on your PC" in the error message.
Anybody have an idea how to force an installation of 64-bit Office 2013 Pro Plus?

these tips will help you clean ALL of the bits and pieces of various Office versions you mentioned.
It is not just Office, there are a few other 32 bit MS applications that may block 64 bit installations:
Blocking and nonblocking Office applications in 64-bit installations
If 32-bit Office applications are installed on a computer, a 64-bit Office 2010 installation is blocked by default. The following section (Applications that block a 64-bit
Office 2010 installation) lists the applications that block a 64-bit Office 2010 installation. The next section (Applications that do not block a 64-bit Office 2010
installation) lists exceptions; that is, applications that do not block the installation. In such cases, installation of 64-bit Office proceeds even if the listed 32-bit applications are installed on the computer.
Applications that block a 64-bit Office 2010 installation
The following applications block a 64-bit Office 2010 installation:
    Microsoft Office Excel Viewer
Access database engine of Microsoft Access 2010

  • Can you install logic express on more than one computer

can you install logic express on more than one computer ?

Be sure to read the End User Licensing Agreement for questions of this nature. You are allowed to install Logic on two computers that you own, for example an iMac and a MacBook Pro. You cannot, however, use the two computers at the same time if they are on the same network. You can use one computer as a Logic Node to shift some of the processing load (which you would likely do with an ethernet cable) but you don't need to have a full installation of Logic on the Node  machine, just the Logic Node installation. The idea of allowing two installations is so that you might take advantage of a portable  computer in the field for on-site recording then later transfer those files to a desktop studio set up for further editing.
