Can't install the drives keep getting C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\INSTALL

I keep getting C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\INSTALL when I'm trying to install instant webcam I press ok and nothing happensit saysthe vfwwdm.drv' on (Unknown) is needed type the path where the file is located,and then click ok copyes files C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\INSTALL then browse?

Keep getting a window to install a security update for Firefox 25.0.1. I have installed it 3 times already and still get the notice to install it again.

At least twice a day I get a pop up window alerting me to the need to install a security update for Firefox 25.0.1. I have installed it several times and still I am prompted to install it again. I have received no response from Mozilla on this issue. I had sent in an email about this several days ago.

Keep getting a prompt to install java even when not surfing the net. I have java installed and the control panel says it is right version. Want to know how to stop prompts. This started after I installed Yosemite.

Since installing Yosemite I keep getting a prompt to install Java even when I am not surfing the net. Went system preferences and I have recommended version installed. I want to know how to stop the prompts. I do not have this problem on my iMac.

Most likely, you have either the Facebook video calling plugin or the "NexDef" plugin for watching baseball streams. Both depend on the Java runtime distributed by Apple. If you no longer need the plugin, remove it. Otherwise, install Java.

Keep getting error message while instaling software updates

i just receive my imac from apple store after they fix my HDD , my imac is using version 10.6.8 and have 2.66 GHz intel core i5 prossesor also have memory 12 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 , i had problem before with my imac and i sent it to apple store to fix it , after they fix it ( they said) i wont have any problem anymore with my imac , and when i try it at home, i used migration assistant to get back my old data to my fixed imac, and now everytime i try to update my imac from software update on apple icon, they can downloading the updates but when i click instal and restart my imac can not installing the updates, keep getting error instaling update on my imac.
anyone can help me with this?

This is just a guess, and it may not work, but it won't make things worse.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Copy or drag – do not type – the line below into the window, then press return.
defaults delete /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate CatalogURL
You can then quit Terminal.

Load the drivers and you should then be able to add it in Print Center.

You're ignoring context. On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers. The new Apple Support Communities made things worse by introducing certain inefficiencies. Then came Lion. The flood of messages that came with Lion required a painful choice for any of the people who had been helping here: (1) Give quality responses to a few questions and ignore the rest. (2) When applicable, give a brief answer such as the one that you found objectionable. (3) Give up all the other normal activities of life and spend full time trying to answer questions here.
People who needed help with Lion problems seemed to have trouble discovering existing message threads that described how to solve their problems. Even doing that, what I posted saved me time that I could use to help someone else.
The people helping here are all volunteers. None of them is being paid for the time they spend here. They all have a life outside of Apple Support Communities. It's arrogant of you to demand that people helping here spend more time than they already do.

Officejet 4500 wireless printer keep geeting error message when installing the driver

hi can anyone help im trying to install my officejet printer 4500 g510 n-z driver from the hp website and i keep getting an error message and i have no idea how to stop getting this message as i have tried a few times to install the drive and keep gettimg the same message im running windows 8.1 if tht helps

I have been trying to install the driver for a Wacom Bamboo Pad. There are several driver packages listed on the website (the device is supplied ready to run with Windows devices) and I have tried tried downloading all the available drivers which apply to my set-up. Some will not open at all and I get a 'Damaged' message on my screen. Of the ones which open, I can download the .dmg and expand it but when clicked it opens as a window with multiple choice of languages and an icon which instructs you to click to open.
If I do this some versions repeat the 'damaged' message but the later ones generate a window saying:-
'“Install Wacom Tablet.pkg" can't be opened because the Identity of the developer cannot be conﬁrmed.' - this is as far as I can get it to go; most frustrating!
I understand that Apple's security updates have recently included an alteration that causes this result, and that there is supposed to be a legal (i.e. Apple sanctioned) workaround to allow files like this to be opened. If this is so, can anyone enlighten me?

%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
You may see one folder in there and that's the one you want. If you see more than one, look for the one with the most recently modified files.

Firefox will not install. I keep getting a message that I have to restart my computer in order for updates to a previous version can be installed.

Every time I restart the computer and try to install firefox the same message keeps appearing. I attempted to uninstall the earlier version of firefox using "programs and features" in windows but the same message came up and thus I was unable to uninstall using that method. I have used a third party uninstall program which appeared to delete all traces of firefox including registry entries but I still have the same problem.

Can't install a 750gb. keep getting errors

Ok. I have a g5 dual 2ghz powerpc tower. I have been noticing some problems with the hard drive, taking longer to find things, when I verify permissions, it came up with errors, even told me a couple of times that it could not finish because of problems. Needless to say, I want to replace the drive. I have a 750g western digital that I want to use as the replacement. I tried to format the drive, but i kept on getting errors. then I partitioned the drive into 2 areas, and then it formatted the drive. When I used superduper to clone the drive, it ran for a bit then came up an error also. I then tried to format the 750 with the cd and it said that the drive cannot be used as a start up drive. Why?
Questions that I have:
1. Is there a maximum capacity that my computer can reconize per drive?
2. If not, why won't it let me format or install from the cd or even clone the main drive?

High capacity WD drives (750Gb and 1TB) seem to have a high failure rate. You should return the drive and get a different one.

Hey ,The best thing to do would be to take it in to you nearest Best Buy and have the Geek Squad take a look at it. Obviously getting yours to work the way it is supposed to is the best option but if they can't, at least you can get or order a replacement easily. There wouldn't be any charge just to have them look at it and if there was work that they could do to get it going they could tell you what it would run you before doing anything.

Does this error appear after you complete the download and start up the installer file? If so, you may need to restart Windows. Sometimes the Windows Installer accumulates a backlog of changes and stops working correctly until you restart your system and let it clear its queue.
