Can't install Windows 8.1 - Driver Violation

I'm trying to install Windows 8.1 on my Asus U43JC notebook. Windows 8 will install fine without a problem, but I can't get 8.1 installed. When installing from the marketplace, 8.1 will download and install, but after first booting, I get a blue screen of
death and it reverts back to Windows 8.
I then tried putting the Windows 8.1 install on a Flash Drive and attempting to boot from it, but I get a DRIVER_VIOLATION error. This error is straight off the flash drive, and from what I gather, there might be a bad piece of hardware (which I find strange
because everything is working fine in Windows 8).
I'm using the Windows 7 USB tool to create the flash drive, but its not even loading to the point where I have any options to choose from (it will boot from the flash drive and that's about it). I've been able to test the iso image in VMware and that's installing
fine, but I'm unable to boot the USB within VMware.
I have got a Seagate Hybrid SSD that was purchased a fortnight ago, that is the only thing I could possibly think of being the problem - does anyone know if that requires an updated firmware to run windows 8.1?

I've got the same problems. Windows Update from the Store didn't work: Reboot with 8.1 failed, next reboot restored Windows 8 (english pro Version on ASUS F5SL).
I used a DVD (last de_windows_8.1_enterprise_with_update_x86_dvd_4050413.iso) to boot from, but before I can do anything I get a blue screen (":( Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then you can
restart. (0% complete) If you'd like to know more, you can search online later for this error: DRIVER_VIOLATION") followed by an immediate reboot.
Removing the DVD while booting allows me to have some options (such as Enable debugging, Enable boot logging, ... Enable Safe Mode with Command Prompt, 7 Disable driver signature enforcement, ...). None of them helped; I won't be able to do anything with
Windows 8.1.

Thank you for your reply, and the information. This is what I came up with:
I added the strings as instructed, however when I went to sign the script in terminal, I was told:
/Applications/Utilities/Boot Camp Assistant.app: replacing existing signature
/Applications/Utilities/Boot Camp Assistant.app: code object is not signed at all
In subcomponent: /Applications/Utilities/Boot Camp Assistant.app/Contents/info.plist

I Followed the Below but with no success:
* Microsoft Windows* Vista / Win7 "Have Disk" Installation Instructions
1. Click "Start" then right click on "Computer" button and select properties.
2. Click on the "Device Manager" selection on the left.
3. IF UPDATING DRIVER GO TO STEP 5
4. Double click "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)" if present under "Other Devices". (Go To STEP 6)
5. Select "Display adapters" then double click on the graphics controller shown.
6. Click on "driver" tab and select "Update Driver".
7. select the following option: "Browse my computer for driver software"
8. Select the following option: "Let me pick from a list of device drivers
on my computer".
9. Click on the "Have Disk..." button and then the "Browse" button
10. Enter the directory where you unzipped the file you downloaded,
and then enter the "Graphics" subdirectory. Highlight "igdlh.INF"
file. Click on the "Open" button
11. Click on the "OK" button and then click "Next" button. The operating system will install the driver.
12. Click on the "Close" button and then click on the "Yes"
button to reboot. The driver should now be loaded.
But I Noted that the file "igdlh.INF" is not in the directory as i found inside it this" kit19757.inf""

The remote disk on my air can find the cd but bootcamp will not begin installing it. Anyway to do this without buying the damned usb drive?

I don't know first hand if you can use the Remote Disk option with Windows but as of 10.7.2 you can now use BCAssistant to make a bootable USB (thumb drive or external disk) W7 installer with the Boot Camp drivers installed also. Have you tried that yet?

Can I install windows on a RAID hard drive?

Hi,
I recently purchased a used macPro. This mac pro had a raid set so 4 1TB hard drives were created to make one 4 GB partition. This made the raid utility pop up frequently saying there was something wrong so I just broke the RAID set and tried to set the disk up as their on storage partitions (Just as if they were 4 normal hard drives. Now that I did this, only 3 out of the 4 hard drives are visible in disk utility. Also, I reinstalled macosx snow leopard and tried installing bootcamp but when I partition the hard drive and restart using the windows installation disk, it doesn't show that I have any available hard drives to install windows on. Is this because of my RAID disks? (Sorry I don't know anything about raid disks and didn't know this computer had it before I bought it)
Any help would be appreciated.

As stated in the Mac Pro RAID card FAQ you can't install Windows if you have the drives controlled by that card.

Answer: Boot Camp does not support the installation of Windows onto a Mac using hardware or software RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Drives). Boot Camp is not supported on the Xserve with or without the Xserve RAID Card installed.

Look inside and see if there is a RAID controller from Apple, proably top slot #4. Also look in System Profile under SATA interface.
Pull non-graphic card, seems you don't need it if you have one.
You are not getting something: internal hard drives are one thing. RAID card is another. The RAID card just replaces the normal SATA controller that otherwise interfaces.
Take a look at the photos and manual for the card.

i'm not willing to sacrafice any of the limited space on the SSD, but i'm very willing to get a good performing USB 3 drive, and use it as necessary with windows.

If you have a Late 2012 iMac (without a built-in SuperDrive), you can use a USB drive to install Windows with Boot Camp and you shouldn't have any problem

Yes. Just install Windows onto it without using the Boot Camp Assistant to partition it.

Install it normally, launch it with the Shift key held down, and create a new library on the desired drive. The iTunes application contains system components and therefore must be installed on the drive or partition containing the OS.

Hi there.
I have an old Macbook pro (early 2007) which is still quite good, except from the superdrive which got broken.
I would like to completely wipe out OSX (Lion) from that and install Windows 8 instead.
Problem is, I cannot install it from optical drive, since it's broken (and plus, I don't have access to an external drive).
Is it even possible to install windows 8 from USB on this computer? If so, what should I do?

You can only install Windows from an external disc drive or an USB drive in one of these computers:
- MacBook Pro with Retina display.
- MacBook Air.
- iMac (Late 2012).
- Mac mini (Mid 2010 and newer).
As you don't have any of these computers, you need the SuperDrive to install Windows 8. In your case, you have to install a SuperDrive in your MacBook Pro in order to install Windows by using Boot Camp
