Can't install with regional options changed

Hi,
I tried to install WL 8 in Windows XP. I've set the Regional Language Options
to Tamil. I'm not able to install WL. After I change it to English, I was able
to install it. Similarly when starting a server, if I had set my Regional Language
Options to Tamil, it gives me some errors. As a work around, I change the options
to English; start the server; and switch back to Tamil. Is there any solution
to this problem?

Hi aliciageeg, and a warm welcome to the forums!
How much free Space on your Hard Drive by the way?
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Tiger Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
Try installing while in Safe Mode, reboot.

  • How many IDE drives & CDrom can be installed with SATA drives??

How many IDE drives & CDrom can be installed with SATA drives??
i have 2 IDE hard disks & 2 CDROM drives: can install SATA hard disk added to these drives or do i have to remove some???
& if it can be added, can i install 2 SATA drives???
    THX in advance

The 3 versions of this board that are available are:
    875P Neo-FISR (PCB 2.0)
    875P Neo-LSR (PCB 1.0)
    875P Neo-FIS2R (PCB 1.0)
All of these boards will have the following ports provider by the chipsets ICH5R south bridge.
2 x SATA (Supporting 2 SATA HDD drives)
    2 x PATA (Supporting 4 IDE devices)
All 6 of these can be used at the same time (provided you are using win XP or 2K) you just need to make sure yor BIOS is set right.
    ->INTEGRATED PERIPHERALS
    ->ON-CHIP IDE CONFIG
ATA CONFIG: S-ATA ONLY or P-ATA ONLY
    S-ATA/P-ATA KEEP ENABLED: YES
    OPERATE MODE:
If you set to "legacy mode" S-ATA are set to channel 1 and 2 and P-ATA to channel 3 and 4. If you set to "native mode" P-ATA are channel 1 and 2 and S-ATA 3 and 4. You can only use the raid functionfon SATA in native mode.
If you have the 875P Neo-FIS2R (PCB 1.0) you will also have the following ports provided by the Promise PDC20378 PCI controller:
2 x SATA (Supporting 2 SATA HDD drives)
1 x PATA (Supporting 1 Master IDE HDD drive)
The PATA port is limited to 1 Master HDD by the lite BIOS. This can in theory be upgraded to the full BIOS supporting a master and a slave, but this may obviously void your warranty.
So the answer to your origional question is:
    2 x SATA HDDs and 4 x IDE HDD/CDROM if you have 875P Neo-FISR (PCB 2.0) or 875P Neo-LSR (PCB 1.0)
    or
    4 x SATA HDDs, 1 x IDE HDD (2 if you modify the BIOS) and 4 x IDE HDD/CDROM if you have 875P Neo-FIS2R (PCB 1.0)

  • Is the Oracle apps R12 can be installed with domain name like xyz .co.nz

if so please discuss anything other than normal procedure I have to take care?

    Thanks and regards
    Vasu

If your domain name has two characters, then you may run into the Microsoft IE 6 bug "Internet Explorer Does Not Set a Cookie for Two-Letter Domains" described in Microsoft article Q310676. The fix for this issue is described in the Microsoft article.
Internet Explorer does not set a cookie for two-letter domains
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;310676
Apart from the above, you should not have any issue.

  • When I select a local phone number my iphone 4 tries to send an email only and won't ring the number. Does anyone know if this can be fixed with a setting change?

When I select a local phone number from my contacts, the iphone 4 won't ring the number, instead it tries to send an email. Does anyone know if this can be fixed with a setting change?

Thanks for the reply, good try, I thought of that myself and made sure of that this morning, but that is already all done, and as it happens, the contacts are exactly the same as in our other phone (3GS) which works perfectly, but the iphone 4 won't dial ANY local number, instead it tries to send an email. EVERY TIME. most frustrating. I am really trying to work out if there is a setting somewhere (like the area code etc) or if this is a warranty issue.
Thanks again for trying to help!

  • Hello. I am trying to self host Italia fonts (Book, Bold and Medium) on Adobe Muse. I purchased web fonts from Linotype that are "obfuscated" - which means the name is hidden. Apparently I also need to install system fonts. Can I install with code in muse

Hello! I am trying to self host Italia fonts in muse. I purchased from Linotype the web fonts. But they sent obfuscated fonts and code. I need to also install as system fonts and those do not work for that. We already have different Italia fonts that we owned prior but they are not obfuscated... Is this a problem? Is there an easier way I can do this? TIA!

    Abhishek,
Thank you for the reply. Wanted to comment on a few things.
I reviewed the other post that you've referenced. Nothing unusual jumped out at me as something that I was not aware of. I'm running an older iMac that is in good working condition. 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 24" screen. I know this issue is fleeting, as I stated earlier typically can be corrected with a restart of the CC Desktop application (that I am always running at startup). I have not been able to determine that shutting down Muse corrects the issue. I would, at this time say it doesn't.
I did open InDesign and see if the fonts in question, Open Sans and Open Sans Condensed, were present and usable. They were. The fonts are shown as being synched in my CC Desktop app window (even if they are not "installed" in Muse). That is expected but it may be a bug in how Muse brings in a font from those that are already synched to your CC account. I don't know enough about how that works to comment.
And just to complicate matters, Muse seems to be working again, the fonts that is. I brought them back in and they are showing up in all locations (which there are actually three - see screen shots).
First is primary text menu dropdown (to right of orange "Text").
Second is if you click orange Text link. Another drop down menu appears.
And lastly, the Text Panel to right of screen.
I also wanted to add this extra bit of information, for what it is worth. When the issue arises and you do not get the sub-menu dropdown showing various styles of the font (italics, bold, etc.), one can use click on the missing font if you had used it previously and it is present in the "previously used font" list.
    Cheers!

  • Can anyone help with printer options on iPad mini, can I change layout paper size?

I am trying to change the printer options on my iPad mini so that I can print on legal size paper,  I also would like to change to portrait layout.  Is this an option when printing from an iPad Mini?

    Chad-
I think the same problem exists with all the iOS devices.  I suggest you look for a free App from the manufacturer of your printer.  It will have limitations, but may include the ability to change paper size and image size and orientation.
There are other printing Apps such as Print n Share that can do that, but they are not free.
The problem you may face, is that such printing Apps can only be accessed from within other Apps that have the "Open In" option.  If you can use their built-in programs, they may meet your needs.

  • I was wondering if anyone can help me with a jquery change() integration issue?

I have tested the following script on a simple html page on my computer and it workd perfectly:
However, when posting it to BC withing a template, for some reason the .change() alert gets copied 4 times. You can see it at the following link: http://www.bebemoda.co.uk/test-1?Preview=True
Not sure if this is due to interference form other scripts and am not able to figure out the problem.
Would anyone be able to helpn me solve this issue?

    Hello LondonHK,
It looks like your each function is what is messing you up. It is trying to go through each drop down list once you change the ShippingCountry drop down. So since there are 5 drop downs the code wouldn't work as you wanted.
I've made a jsfiddle with a little simpler code that should do the trick for you:
    http://jsfiddle.net/chaddidthis/nw6cY/
Let me know if that works.
    Hope this helps,

  • How Many OS can I install with BootCamp?

I am thinking of installing the following on my MacPro, all at the same time:
    1. OSX - which is currently the only OS installed
    2. Windows XP
    3. Windows 7
    4. Another install of OSX from the disks that came with my MacPro.
Is any of this possible before I start messing around?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Chaz

Mac Pro? you can have Windows (different version, or linux, etc) on each drive.
Use the "older first" when installing, and Windows will present its own boot menu.
VMs work great on Mac Pro with enough RAM and cores.
Boot Camp is designed more for the "one internal hard drive" iMac/MacBook family, all it is is a partition tool.
You can have a 1TB drive with 7, Vista, XP.
And, you can install Windows 7 without resorting to Boot Camp Assistant at all, format the drive in Windows 7 DVD anyway, as 7 creates its own 100MB system recovery partition.

I have tried to install the Google pagespeed option on Firebug but I get a message asking me to allow it I do and then get a message stating that Firefox will not allow it. 1. Is that true? 2. If so, is there another way for Firebug to help. 3. Am I doing something wrong when I try to upload it? I am trying to losslessly compress images and was told that this Firebug option will do this. I think you've got two different types of problem going on at once here. Let's try clearing this second error out of the way first.
the second is "Error writing to file: C:\ Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\Webkit.resources\inspector\Images\timelinePillGreen.png. Verify that you still have acess to that directory."
That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through without that particular error message afterwards? (Whether this works or not, we still might have to deal with the system services message.)

  • Can't install with a new SATA harddisk

my motherboad is Asus A7N8X Deluxe ( nforce 2, sil3112 SATA ), installed Archlinux for a few years with an ide harddisk. now I'm going to relace it with a new Sata harddisk( WD5000AAKS)-- a fresh installation on this new sata harddisk.
I started to install after burning a 2010.05 iso to cd, but I got errors if I only have a sata harddisk. I took a photo by my cell phone:
I've read these posts, but they don't work to me:

Installation works fine if I have only an ide harddisk. and I tried to install from a Live CD (download from: http://arch-live.isawsome.net/iso/archiso/20100526/ ) with single sata hd, I got similar errors like:
I can mount the new sata hd in my old archlinux os, some commands output:

    Very simple fix for this.
Run the following command at the ramfs prompt:
    udevadm trigger
    exit
    Worked perfect for me.
Really? I'll really appreciate you if it works.
