Can´t install ZEN 8 GB on Win-XP-

Hello,
I can't install my ZEN on the PC. If I have installed the software from the CD, I have to connect the ZEN with the PC. The automatc Hardware-Installation begins, but then I got this message: Hardware Installation failed. During Installation is a mystake. A Serviceinstallationpart in this INF-File is bad.
Or in german:
W hrend der Ger teinstallation ist ein Fehler aufgetreten.
Ein Dienstinstallationsabschnitt dieser INF-Datei ist ung ltig.
What can I do? This message I see on 3 different PCs!

Hi Kok Choy,
thank you for your answer. I've installed the Microsoft-USB-Beta-Driver, and than I could install the ZEN without a problem. I'm very glad! Installing of ZEN Media Explorer, Sync Manager and so on has gone without problems. Now I'm searching for a manual in german language as a PDF-File. Unfortunally I found only Help-Files.

  • How can I install windows XP or win 7 32 bit in MacBook Air 2013

    Hi,
I want to install windows xp or windows 7 32 bit on new MacBook Air 2013 with bootcamp 4.
Apple says MacBook Air 2013 mid 2013... Comes with bootcamp 5.
And bootcamp 5 support only 64 bit windows....apple says.
I want to install win xp or win7.32 bit with bootcamp4.
Can we downgrade the bootcamp by uninstalling or something...?
Or how can I install  32 bit windows on new MacBook Air 2013.
    Thanks I advance.
    Please guide.

Bootcamp 4 which ships with Lion doesn't support XP or Vista, only 7.  Try using Parallels or VMWare instead.

  • HELP. can't install zen mic

I bought a zen micro a few months ago and had no trouble installing it.
then i accidently uninstalled it, and had to reinstall it. when i connect it to the computer it says "Found New Hardware - Creative Zen Micro" and instructs me to insert the CD. i do, but it says that it can't find the software.
i have also tried just putting in the cd and reinstalling everything, but Real Player still won't detect it.
    Please Help.

well... i dont know about your setup... but the zen micro is automatically detected when you have playsforsure firmware installed. The playsforsure firmware is designed to work specifically with windows media player 0... I don't know about realplayer... but if you were using it with realplayer previously... then that might be a valid setup. I don't know why it won't detect your micro after the installation and reinstallation...

  • Can't install PostScript Driver on Win 7

    Hi,
I am trying to install Adobe Page Maker 7.0 upgrade CD on my Dell Laptop that has Windows 7.
Everything else installed except the PostScript Driver.
It starts to install then gets to - choose a printer.
I chose Generic Printer then it says chose an operating system and it gives me a choice of Win 95, Win 98 and Win NT.
    I have Windows 7.
    Thank you

No, can't do. It's hoplessly outdated and not compatible. If you really need PS output, look into GhostScript or other commercial products or use your normal printer driver's "to file" option. Otehrwise there's nothing to be missed.

  • Can't install oracle 9i on win XP pro

I've successfully downloaded oracle 9i Db (enterprise). I've tried to install it on three different pc (Dell dimension 4400) with same os (windows xp pro). Everything works fine, except only for one of them : when I try run setup.exe, nothing happens, I don't even get a single error message.
Does anyone have an answer to this?
    Thanks!

I had the same problem on my Windows 2000 Professional machine installing 8i Client
The company dba got the following file from Oracle p1507768_171_WINNT_F.zip this file unzips the oracle universal installer. Once I had an installer I could point to the products.jar file on my CD and install the Oracle 8i Client. When I then went to upgrade to 9i I had to remove the 8i universal installer before I could double click on the 9i setup.exe for it to install. - this is in the installation documentation.
My problem is that I had to reconfigure my machine and I can't get the above to work again for me.
    - The universal installer had a problem with the jrew.exe file - so I put a newer version up there and changed the oraparam.ini to point to the new jre directory - the installer now works but I can't uninstall it. I would apprecitate any help as well.

There maybe a permission issue with your "TEMP" folder.
We extract installation files to your default "TEMP" folder.  Install then fails as we try to launch the installer from there.
Can you verify what the permissions are for your TEMP folder?  C:\Documents and Settings\harry\Local Settings\Temp
There should be read/write access. Please verify permissions for Harry and System.
To verify write privileges and see if the files are extracting to that folder, open TEMP folder and then launch AIR installer.
You should see a folder created called AIR*.tmp
If possible, can you create a new user with Admin privileges and try installing in that account?  Does error still occur?
Does environment variables have a setting for TEMP and TMP folders?

  • Can't install systemupdate under win xp sp3

    hi.
i try to install systemupdate 3.14 on a T43p with new windows xp prof. with sp3 installed, and  the installshield  wizard complains that it was interrupted, and doesn't finish. i got the same result from an older version: 2.12.
    thanks 4for any help.
    yosi.

Try running Windows update and see if that works.  There seems to be a fairly consistant problem with SP3 in not allowing Windows Update to work properly, I suspect this similay.  I don't know how to fix it, but at least this can help you find out what the problem is.

I was never able to install 3.2 sp2 under NW5.1 sp5, so I hoped by going to

installed. But no, yet again I get the message at the Tree screen saying:-

This support Pack must be installed on a tree that has ZENworks for Desktops
    3.2 installed.
Please choose a tree that has ZENworks for Desktops 3.2 installed.
I followed the instructions as before but no difference. I shut down java, I
ran the install on a clean PC with no Consoleone installed, I removed the
Novell folder from the common files folder. I even installed the latest
client just for the install and it still gets stuck. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

How do you run a 'custom install' of sp2?

  • Can I install win 8 64 bit OS on dv6936 laptop win vista 64 bit OS

I just purchased the HP Pavilliom 500 destop and would like to upgrade my laptop with desktop OS.
Can I install my hp Pavilion 500 PC win 8 64 bit OS on my hp pavillion dv6936 laptop win vista 64 bit OS

    Hi Ibdman,
You cannot use the Pavilion 500 desktop recovery disks to upgrade the operating system on your HP laptop.
You would have to purchase either: a Win 8 retail upgrade or full install disc to change the operating system on your laptop.
If you are considering upgrading your laptop you should consider Win 7 64 bit instead of Win 8.

There is no option on bios for SATA support or IDE
    please help me

    Hey buddy
You will not find any SATA or IDE settings in the BIOS. The problem is that you have not installed the SATA driver which is necessary to install the XP on this notebook.
The key is Intel Matrix Storage Manger!
The Storage Manager has to be included into the Windows XP OS during the setup procedure using the button F6.
At the other hand you could include the Storage Manger using the free application called nLite.
Search a little bit in this forum. There are enough threads and postings regarding this theme.
    Ciao
