Can't Kerberize, what is the realm, who is the administrator?

An Apple rep set up the server in my graphic arts classroom last spring. During the summer technology services changed some routers and I had to set up a new LDAP directory. Now, student passwords won't let them connect. I saw that Kerberos was not running and tried to kerberize. I used my administrator name and password for the LDAP3 directory and the DNS name of my classroom server but nothing happens. Am I supposed to be using the DNS name for my server, or the main server in the building that controls the entire network? If so, do I have to have the administrator name and password for the school wide network instead of mine?
Obviously, I know very little about how this stuff works and we can't afford $1000 for someone to drive from Atlanta and do it for me.

Without knowing some more detials I can only make a guess with an issue I ran into. The first OS X server I set up I had the domain name as .local and when I changed the server from stand-alone to Open Directory Kerberos would not start. I set the server back to standalone, set my hostname and domain names to the correct values for the school the server was going to and changed the server back to Open Directory Master and everything came up this time. If you do this you will lose all the accounts on the server except the original Server Admin user. I didn't mind since it was a new server and I only had a few accounts.

Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

Can someone explain what is the benefit of the Find My iPhone feature?

I've upgraded my iPhone 4 to the next OS and it comes with the Find My iPhone feature. It took me a while to set it up, but it's OK, especially when it's free for those lucky iPhone 4 users. But now the question I have, what is the benefit of this feature? (Well besides spying on your girlfriend or wife) I mean, if someone steals my iPhone all they need to do is to delete the mobile me account, or better, turn this feature off. It's not even password protected. Maybe I'm just not getting something???

Obviously once my phone is lost I'm going to change my password on my emails right away and call AT&T to freeze my account.
You are assuming that you will know your phone is lost or stolen the instant it happens. Don't be so naive. Unless your iPhone is glued to your forehead it could be hours or maybe the next morning before you realize it's gone.
This is not where you should store that stuff.
Who are you to say what people should or shouldn't store on their smartphone? Above you admit you're not even aware of Apps that can store data (credit cards for instance) as securely as the banks and websites you use them at.
Apple's approach to encryption is mostly based on "security by obscurity", or, "our operating systems don't get hacked often... and thus we're safe." But this is VERY wrong!
Actually, you're wrong and clearly know very little about security PERIOD. Anyone who doesn't use even the basic security built-in to any device simply because it is an "inconvenience" almost deserves to have their identity stolen.

I've discover I need to apply archive logs until this query reports all datafiles as FUZZY=NO , but this only works by guessing at some time periord to roll forward to, then checking the FUZZY column, and try again. Is there a way to know, I have to roll forward to a specific SNC in order for all my datafiles to be consistent?

The minimum point in time is the time when the last backup piece for datafiles in that backup was completed.
Your alert.log should show the redo log sequence number at that time.
You can query V$ARCHIVED_LOG and get the FIRST_CHANGE# of the first archivedlog generated after that backup piece completed.
A
LIST BACKUP;in RMAN should also show you the SCNs at the time of the backups.
You can also query SCN_TO_TIMESTAMP -- eg
select timestamp_to_scn(to_timestamp('15-MAR-09 09:24:01','DD-MON-RR HH24:MI:SS')) from dual;will return an approximation of the SCN.

How can I tell what control the modulation wheel is assigned to?

I understand how to reassign the Mod Wheel and other controls with Command-L. However, once I deleted my learned assignments I realized that the modulation wheel had not been working as it should with the thousands of other presets. Apparently, when I assigned it to the EVP88's Tremolo, it became deactivated from controlling all sorts of fun stuff on the synths.
My questions is in a two parts:
1. If I open up some presets in the ES E (for example), I hear the mod wheel tweaking the sound, but I don't see the control it's manipulating when I'm looking at the instrument window on the screen. How can I find out what control the mod wheel is linked to in each instrument?
2. If I want to reassign the mod wheel on a particular instrument preset, how can I tell logic that this assignment should only be aplicable in a particular preset, and to forget that reassignment when swiching instruments or presets?

I don't recall there being a way that I've seen to find out if the Hotspot is connected to Band 4 or Band 13. The diagnostic pages are very basic.
A good rule of thumb with Band 4 is to consider the following. If you have 3 bars or less, you're likely not on Band 4. The device will head to Band 13 as it will usually provide better signal reliability. If you're indoors, you're more likely to be on Band 13.
Also take note that Wi-Fi is a common limiter on the speeds you'll get. You'll usually see nothing more than 30Mbps on most Wireless N devices. Connect to the Hotspot using USB Tethered mode and speeds should be a bit better.

At the top of the iMovie project window it will tell you by giving the name you gave to the project as well as 'DV NTSC, or DV NTSC Widescreen.
Somewhat confusingly, when you set your choice of NTSC or PAL in iMovie's preferences when starting a new project (you can't switch later), these are only identified as 29.95 fps (which is NTSC) and 25 fps (which is PAL). Once you have set that, all iMovie projects you start will default to the same until you change it. You cannot combine the formats in the same project.
As you are in the USA yours will probably default to NTSC which is the TV system you use there. In Europe we set it to PAL which is what we use here.
A bit rudely, we also say that NTSC stands for 'Never The Same Colour Twice'!
PAL used to stand for 'Prolongs Active Life', but that was actually the tag-line in a dog food commercial! But they are useful mnemonics to remember them by!
