Can't launch default browser to view help

when I go to the help section it states there was an error launching the default browser and than I may need to reinstall the application and the help component.....how do I do this and what caused this to start happening....thanks

See if you can launch the browser from your file browser (explorer on windows and finder on mac)
If you can not, then that is an OS issue and someone here may help, but would need to know what OS you are using since the directions are different for each OS.
If it does launch , let us know and someone will help with the directions as long as you provide what OS you have and what version of photoshop you have. Again the directions differ.

    I have a similar problem.  When I try to reach Help, I get error message HTTP 403, which says  "This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.

    Actually, I tried to show the doc in a EditorPane of my app but I only get a beep and no exception.

  • Error launching default browser

    I had downloaded and installed the trial versions of PSE 12 and PRE 12 in late November, 2013. Purchased both December 23, 2013 and downloaded both. Did not realize I could just enter the new product codes, and instead re-installed both. All seems to working, but when I click HELP>SUPPORT, I get error message: There was an error launching the default browser. You may need to re-install the application and the Help component. Does this refer to reinstalling PSE and PRE or the browser which is IE9? Had a chat seesion with Mohammed who told me to contact tech support who want me to pay for help. This does not seem right for a new purchase.
    Also, since the purchase occured on December 23, 2013 and today is January 3, 2014 I wonder why I am already getting emails that I have reached my limit in Revel. I thought I had thirty days for unlimited initial uploads.

  • Protect Not Registering and Can't Change Default Browser

    Hi All
    I have bought a new Z10 and I am trying (hard) to like it as a replacement for my current iphone 4.......
    But what's stopping me at the moment is that:
    1. I can't see my z10 on the Protect website (http://...) even after I have turned on the Protect option on the handset. I am in Australia with the Telstra network. The website tells me I need to install the app (which I know isn't compatible with the z10)...Is this a bug ? I have even tried a hard reset on the handset....no luck. 
    2. I can't for the life of me change the default browser from Bing. I followed other tread but as suggested, I am not given the drop down option in the top right corner to change, just a "b" in the top left.......If I click the "b" it takes me to the Bing website.......
    I really hope I have missed something simple......but please help me like my new phone.....

  • I am unable to make Firefox my default browser. Please help

    I used to use Firefox as my default browser, and it worked as it should. I decided to try the Opera browser, and was not satisfied, and tried to switch my default back to Firefox. It would not switch. I uninstalled Opera, and once again tried to set Firefox as default....no luck. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. It would not set as default. I also have IE and Chrome installed, and neither of them will let me set to default. So, basically, I have no default browser. When I go to my tools menu, and try to set Firefox as default, it says Firefox already is set as default. Any help would certainly be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Hi, I can't launch iTunes, I keep getting this error:

    Forgot to say that I didn't mean preview browser. The reason I am asking is that there are script errors in the page and the error message pop-up from Contribute is from IE. So I am thinking maybe I can avoid it by somehow switching browser.

    hi, is there anyway you can change default browser on 5800 to Opera?? So that when u slide the menu out and select the browser / internet
    world icon, it instead opens Opera10, rather than the default **bleep** nokia browser.
    There is a setting to change the default apps, but it doesnt let you change the web section, to anything other than browser ??
    And secondly, do you know what Turbo Opera does in the settings on the new - awesome - Opera 10 Beta ???

    The opera 10 beta cannot be set as default.  The final may have that feature, try asking on opera's forums.
    For information about the turbo feature visit opera's website, it tells you all about it on there.

    Hi, I'm running GNOME-Shell (I wasn't sure if this belongs to testing forum or not), and I want Opera to be my default browser.
    As for DE, I changed  gconf-editor>desktop>gnome>url-handlers>http and https to "opera %s". Nothing happened.

    Nothing happened, my default is still Firefox. Any other solution?

    I'm having trouble setting my default browsr. I go into Safari and set it in the options, but once I exit Safari and reenter it is back to what it was before. Right now it is set to Safari and I want to change it to Firefox, but it has been stuck on other browsers I have tried in the past. How do I make is so that I'm able to change the default browser?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
    Quit Safari, find the com.apple.Safari.plist file in your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder, drag it to the Desktop, log out/in or restart and try to reset your default browser. Let us know what happens.

  • After upgrade HTMLDB 2.0, the browser can not launch MS words to view doc

    I create a page with an item to hold the file id in flows_files.wwv_flow_file_objects$. and use the htmldb_util.get_file(:P14_file_id) on-load before header process to allow user to view the documents under flows_files.wwv_flow_file_objects$ table.
    When we are still in HTMLDB 1.6, the window would pop-up to ask for Open, Save or Cancel. When we click open, the window would depend on the file extension to lauch the Ms Words or Excel or Acrobat reader to view the file.
    After we upgrade to HTMLDB 2.0, the window won't pop-up asking for open, save or cancel. Instead, it would open another Internet Explorer to try to read the file. Since the web browser could not read the MS words or excel, all of page display strange characters. I check the httpd.conf file and mime.type in the apache, everything looks fine with me. Could anyone provide me further information on the troubleshooting...

    Step 2 - I **think** you need to uninstall the Cloud and run the cleaner
