Can't Launch FW8 from DW8...wrong path

DW8 and FW8 are installed on D:. Both open from their icons.
In DW8, when I click an image in the files section I get the
error:
Unable to launch
C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Fireworks 8\Fireworks.exe
I went to Preferences File Types/Editors and (by browsing)
changed Fireworks to:
D:\Program Files\Macromedia\Fireworks 8\Fireworks.exe
Tried to open a graphic file again and it came up with the
same error, trying to open it from C:. Quit/restart DW8 doesn't
help.
Any ideas?

But from Front Panel: Modern/ I/O controls, i can see DAQmx names controls
which i don't think i need now.
What do mean reintalling DAQmx with LV
support, is it different from the LabVIEW evaluation software or i just have to
reinstall the LV
evaluation software.

Can't launch games from GeForce GPU

I can only launch games from the Intel GPU (which is shockingly good on USF4, Saints Row IV, Gat Out Of Hell and other games it shouldn't be running so well).... But can't launch with my GeForce GT 750m. Now check this out: I recently reformatted and this happened. I've tried the newest drivers, older drivers, even the extremely outdated ones from the HP site... Both the intel and Nvidea... I've tried uninstalling both of them (completely) and re-installing. I am at a complete loss and doubt anyone here will be able to help me, but it's far better than sending this thing into be repaired by the incompetent, rude, mindless, lazy people at the HP Repair center. (I paid $250 for a watranty, but fear using it again because all the do is damage my computer and break something new every time they fix something. Likeseriously, I feel sorry for people who actually pay for HP repairs as they just mindlessly replace things that aren't broke and do an even more shady job than China)

I was able to still purchase TV Shows and Music individually, but the darn games wont delete. Today I ordered a 3G Nano as a X-mas gift for my son and just want to buy the new version of Tetris, but some games that I was considering for my 5G Video in the past wont go away.......
I have recently rebuilt my library file (very painful) and the games are STILL THERE! The shopping cart items appear to be linked to our Apple ID's and not the iTunes library.xml or DB file.
Hopefully Apple will get this fixed soon!

Can I launch apps from backup hard drive?

i just started using Time Machine and an external drive. Shortly after that, PowerPoint 2004 is acting srangely. It takes a long time to load, then will only let me open from templates, etc. When I click 'Open Other', I get a HUGE window with no info. Also tried using OPEN from the file menu, and then it hangs. Only way I can open a presentation is by clicking on the presentation icon and letting that launch PowerPoint.
I'm not super technically inclined so I need some help. I'd like to know if I can launch PowerPoint from my external drive, to make sure that the Time Machine version is OK. If so, can I restore PowerPoint using Time Machine?

NO. you can't do that. what you can do is restore the application from the TM and launch it from your main drive. However, most likely the problem is not with the application itself but with some preference files in your home directory. to test that create a new user account and try running Power Point there.
If so, can I restore PowerPoint using Time Machine?

Can't launch executable from SQL Server Agent Job

I'm trying to launch an .exe from SQL Server Agent Job and basically nothing happens. I created a job, with 1 step, type is Operating System (CmdExec), run as sql agent service account, and in the command box I typed "start notepad" (no quotes). The job owner is set to administrator. I manually start the job, it processes successfully yet notepad does not launch. I've tried with other .exe's and result is the same. Any advice? Thanks!

I tried several things and not just with notepad, I tried a couple other small executables. I've tried:
c:\notepad --(I copied it to c:\ thinking it maybe it's not finding the file.)
c:\notepad.exe
notepad.exe
start notepad
start notepad.exe
and also launching it from a batch file.
If I use just notepad the job hangs saying it's executing and I have to stop it. If I use start notepad it comes back as executed but actually nothing happens, ie, notepad does not launch. I've tried different security settings within SQL Server (ie assigning all available default roles to the login at the same time and individually one at a time) with identical results. SQL Server is loging in with local administrator priviledges and so is SQL Server Agent. My settings are the default installation settings (for Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2005) except that I read the BOL page "Configuring SQL Server Agent" which indicates the permissions needed for the following:
Adjust memory quotas for a process
Act as part of the operating system
Bypass traverse checking
Log on as a batch job
Log on as a service
Replace a process level token
And they have been set. Still the same. BTW, I get the same result when trying to launch the file using xp_cmdshell with all the variations, and the proxy account for xp_cmdshell has been set to a login with administrator priviledges....
I think it's some security setting in Windows Server, if only because I think I've tried all the settings within SQL Server...
BTW, also, nothing is setup for Proxies under the SQL Server Agent node, but I don't think I should need to if I'm using the administrator level login...

How can I launch configurator from host application in a specefic language.

I want to access R12 configurator from a host application and I have no problems accessing it.
But I want that the configurator should Launch in Japanese Language. Can I specify any XML parameter to the UIServlet to achieve this or is there any other Method?

Per the "Deploying a User Interface that Supports MLS" section in Chapter 14 ("Multiple Language Support") of the Oracle Configurator Implementation Guide:
"When a host application launches Oracle Configurator to configure an item, the language specified in the database ICX session ticket is passed to Oracle Configurator. Oracle Configurator uses this information to determine which translated text to retrieve from the database and display in the UI."
So essentially, Configurator will display the same language that the hosting application is displaying, the language the user has logged into EBS with. (Of course, translated text will only appear in Configurator if you have supplied translations in the CZ_LOCALIZED_TEXTS table.) If you need Configurator to display a different language than its hosting application, that would require a customization of the initialization string the hosting application sends to Configurator, specifying a different icx_session_ticket parameter value.

Apple TV see my library but can't launch anything from it

Hi everyone,
I have bought the apple TV 3. It seems great, airplay is working great but i have a problem.
I have my library on my PC (audio and vids). When i launch a vid inside Itunes and press the apple TV button, it is working fine but if i want to access a file from my apple TV (on my TV...), it doesn't work, i have the little circle turning and turning (wait circle) and nothing happens. Did i miss something when configuring my network ??

Same thing is happening to me on my Apple TV 2. Last week it wouldn;t connect at all.Turned sharing on & off repeatedly but the fix didn't hold for long. Also restarted the ATV several times. Same thing- connected for a short time only. Today I was listening to music for about 20 minutes and the music stopped. Usually my libary would not be visible when this happens because I lost sharing. This time it was visible. I could navigate through all my albums & songs. But when I selected a song to play all I got was the spinning cog wheel. Later I selected a song, got the spinning wheel & no music, was pulled away on a phone call and about 30 minutes later I hear music all of a sudden! It actually reconnected on its own. And no...my wireless is fine, my iTunes is fine, my laptop is fine. My bedroom AppleTV is doing the same thing. Something is very wrong in the Apple TV universe. It's been this way now for several weeks. Waiting to see if Apple gets off its butt to even ackowledge this problem & try to fix it. I'm thinking of dumping my Apple TV & putting my music on a portable hard drive & connecting it to my Roku2-XS. It won;t be pretty but it will work!

Can't launch applications from Safari link

When I try to open any external application through the Safari link, I'm redirected to the Safari "Favourites" tab and the app fails to launch.
For instance, on clicking on a magnet link, the default torrent client(uTorrent in my case) should launch. Or when clicking on the "View in the Mac App Store" link for any application on the apple website, the app store launch. However, instead of launching the application, safari redirects me to the favourites page.
I understand certain apps like Candy Crush were automatically redirecting users to the app store and apple resolved the issue in the updated OS, but is there a way to filter which apps safari can launch, maybe even if it asks for a password?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

Can't launch applications from the Adobe Application Manager

I installed Adobe Application Manager on my mac (Version 10.6.8) and several programs but I can't get the applications to launch from the application manager. I gan launch them directly from the applications folder. Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

The Adobe Application Manager is only used for update notification and installation. It is not intended to be an application launcher.

AppleTV can't play movies from MobileMe, wrong format ?

The first time I accessed MobileMe Gallery on ATV it all worked fine, for photos and a medium sized movie. I decided to change the movie size to large, I took the medium off the gallery and shared the large movie from iMovie. I tried to view the movie on ATV, but got a message that it could not show the movie because it's the wrong format. So I changed it back to medium, but still got the no show message. How did the movie format change, I used iMovie every time.

If you go to Applications and click iChat once to highlight can you then do a Get Info ?
Apple/CMD ( or ⌘) and the i key together.
This will bring up the Info panel
Which version of iChat does it say it is ?
At OS X 10.7.3 it should be version 6.0.1
If this is OK then close the panel
Go to the Finder > Go Menu and hold th ALT key down - then Select Library from the list.
Open the Preferences folder.
Find com.apple.ichat.plist and com.apple.ichatAgent.plist plus th ones with AIM and Jabber in the File names.
Drag them all to the Trash
Restart iChat.
If iChat is NOT at version 6.0.1 then download and reinstall the COMBO version of the OS X 10.7.3 Update over what you have. (this should Update iChat)

Can't launch Photoshop from CC 2014 Desktop

I installed Creative Cloud and all the apps on my Windows 8 PC. I attempt to open up the app Photoshop from my start menu as it tells you too in the help section and I get an error message every time. It reads CC 2014 has stopped working. Then the app closes.

I have two info path forms are in share point page FM 1 and FM 2.
In FM 1 I am getting data from lists by using drop down and casket drop down and FM 2 i need to enter manually after entering
i want to save both forms information(FM 1 & FM 2 ) in to a single list of share point 2010

Open the FM 1 and FM 2 in Infopath(you have save it Locally once).
Publish the FM 1 and FM 2 as content types named FM 1 and FM 2.
Add the content types FM 1 and FM 2 into a document library, Then you can save the data
from two info path forms in to a single library.

Can't launch I photo 6

I recently installed the latest upgrade to I photo 6 and now it won't launch. I've tried repairing the permissions, both on the G5 and booting from the install disc and repairing the disc.
The icon bounces a couple times in the dock & that's it. I can't launch it from the finder either. Does anyone have any ideas? I need to access my photos.

Have you tried deleting the com.apple.iphoto.plist file from the home / library / preferences folder?
If that doesn't work, try creating a new account (system preferences -> Accounts) and see if iPhoto will launch there. If it doesn't, try re-install the app.
