Can't launch iTunes on iPad WiFi
I've had the 16GB WiFi model since launch, and suddenly today when I try to launch iTunes, it comes up blank (I see the navigation icons at the bottom) for about a second then immediately launches the App Store instead.
Some details:
- The account that is logged in to the store has no credit card attached. (It's my son's iPad and his account.)
- I've previously been able to launch iTunes on the iPad with this account before, AND have purchased content with redeemed cards before.
- I've tried a hard reset, and re-synced with his host computer running iTunes 9.1.1, no luck.
- I've tried signing out of the iTunes account via the Settings app, but iTunes still pops over to App Store instead of launching.
- I first noticed this when I tried to gift him an App using my account credentials via iTunes on another machine. I've been able to send him apps this way before.
I am about to try to restore to factory defaults but wanted to check here first in case anyone could think of another way.
Answering my own question:
After restoring the iPad to factory default, and going step by step, I was able to isolate the problem to the "Redeem Code" of the gifted App I mentioned earlier. I worked around the issue by redeeming the gift via the connected PC running iTunes instead.

I can't launch itunes on PC it says it's on a locked disk and that I don't have write permissions for the folder. So how would I go about fixing this, any information would be helpfull.Cuz' I wanna transfer stuff from my PC to my Ipad and understand You have to go through itunes to do that.
The path C:/documents and setting/...iTunes.msi cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in a folder from which you can install the product iTunes.
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
Can't launch iTunes due to previous version of QuickTime installed
I installed an older version of QuickTime, now I can't launch iTunes anymore. In Control Panel, I have QuickTime 32--version 2.11.57 listed. I did everything in the document http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3366434
but nothing has worked. I can't seem to uninstall the old version of QuickTime. When I run QTInstaller713.exe I get an error message about "Can't install because a newer version is already installed"
Sony Vaio VGN-S260 Windows XPThere are no QuickTimes listed in the Add/Remove list. I see it listed in the Control Panel where there is a QuickTime and a QuickTime 32 (v2.11.57). I also see it in Start > Programs > QuickTime. When I click on that I get the message: "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed."

Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)

Have been using iTunes for a while. All of a sudden I am recieving an error when trying to launch: "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Tried uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes but that didn't help. Not sure what to try next. Couldn't find error in tech support.
now I can't launch iTunes from my computer, my QuikTime Player is no longer working either.
a few questions before proceeding.
are you getting an error message? if so, what does it say? include error message numbers if you're getting any.
or are you getting no error messages whatsoever when you try to launch itunes?
if you're getting no error messages whatsoever, do you just see the wee hourglass for a few seconds, and then nothing? if so, do you also have Norton Internet Security 2005 installed on that PC?
or are you seeing a brief "flash" of the itunes license screen (and then nothing)? if so, do you also see similar behavior when you try to launch your QuickTime? -
Can't launch iTunes without Quicktime.

Can't launch iTunes due to a missing MSVCR90.dll file
iTunes system error. When I try and launch iTunes get the message "The Program can't start because MSVCR90.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Then it says Error 7 (Windows error 126)
My specs are Win7 64
I had no problems with iTunes since I built this computer 6 months ago. I tried opening iTunes today and poof! it doesn't work.
What I have tried so far: I did a system restore. I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes multiple times. I did a virus scan: Came back clean. I disabled my firewall settings and uninstalled and reinstalled program and tried to launch. Same error. I did a disk scan on my C drive. I did a registry cleaner with CCleaner. Not sure what else I can do. Any suggestions? No one else having this problem?

I can't launch iTunes, "Accesing to Itunes Store.." appears
When i launch iTunes, a window apperas "Accessing iTunes Store.." and it never goes away, so i can't use iTunes
First of, what sort of system have you got. (Right-click My Computer in the start Menu and select properties) There are two flavours of Windows 7 x64 OEM (original equipment manufacture) One is a total x64 system for the OS and all programs. The other runs x64 address space for the OS and x32 address space for programs. I had exactly the same problem with my system and microsoft office. Roll back (using the recovery console to rewrite all the original registry values before you upgraded will give you a clean system for the upgrade). The upgrade itself should recognise the correct upgrade version for you automatically. However, sometimes it fails to do this due to data corruption. Go here- http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and manually download what you need. after download Right-click the file and select "properties" and click on "unblock" box in lower right corner. close, Then right click the file again and select "Run as administrator". If u still have problems, reboot into Safe mode. Uninstall itunes. Reboot again to safe mode. Disconnect from internet and disable any 3rd party system watch and antivirus programs. Reinstall itunes, then reboot normally. If the problem still persists run a system diagnostic check using "Problem Reports and Solutions" from in Control Panel. Let me know how you get on.

How can I fix my mini ipad wifi?
My wifi is not working
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Can't Launch iTunes? Look out below!
So, I wanted to listen to some iTunes radio at work; my machine is a Dell something-or-other running Windows XP. I downloaded and installed iTunes successfully without a hitch; then I tried to launch it. Much to my dismay, nothing happened! The Windows hourglass would momentarily appear next to the cursor as if the system was trying to launch iTunes, but I simply didn't get anything on the screen. Nothing in the taskbar, no windows, nothing.
Googling around for the issue, I saw a whole bunch of people recommending reinstalling iTunes, reinstalling Windows, messing around with the registry, changing the security settings for iTunes, reconfiguring the firewall, et cetera. I decided that I'd first try to reboot my machine to see if that would help. I began to close all my open programs (Safari, Outlook, and the timecard program for my work), and all of a sudden, I noticed something rather important:
The iTunes Software License Agreement had decided to pop itself up behind all my already-running programs. It had not bothered to give itself a taskbar slot, so I had no idea it was sitting there waiting on my input. Lo and behold, I hit "Agree" to the SLA, and iTunes launched normally.
So, the moral of the story: if you're having trouble launching iTunes on Windows XP, close or minimize all your open applications and see if iTunes' SLA isn't sitting on the desktop, patiently waiting for you to agree to it before iTunes launches. Sometimes it's the simplest of solutions that evade us so thoroughly...Hey bcolden,
