Can't Launch Nokia Anna browser through links in o...

Hi...
Ever since I updated to Anna on my dark grey N8, I cannot launch the nokia browser from other applications eg: Clicking a link in an sms or in Nimbuzz. I have now updated to Anna Software version 025.007 and still experience the same problem (The browser only loads for a second and then crashes)
PLEASE HELP!!!

First of all: CALM DOWN!!!
I can understand your frustration but in this boards we are all Nokia-phone users! You won't find Nokia employees here that will answer your questions. For that you would have to click the "Contact us" field on top of this page. In here you will only get advice from other end-users. So, a bit of politeness wouldn't hurt anybody!
So, from end-user to end-user, I would suggest that you do the following:
1) Uninstall manually (windows - control panel - add/remove programs)the following programs:
Nokia-PC-Suite
Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
PC Connectivity Solution
2) Restart PC
3) Download and install the new version of Nokia-PC-Suite.You will find the newest suite for your phone here http://europe.nokia.com/A41157164 . DO NOT connect your phone to the PC until the installation is completed!!!
4) Connect your phone and after a while of some installation that will be done automatically without your intervention, everything should work.
The tricky part is that you have to uninstall all three applications that I mention above manually. Don't worry all the programs you uninstall manually are included in the PC-suite installation package and will be reinstalled automatically.
Hope the above procedure will solve your problem. Please let us know the results.

Nokia 1020: browse through apps without touching t...

Hello,
Last couple of days my Nokia 1020 starts browsing through all the apps randomly without me touching the screen. Music starts, photo app is opening, etc.. If I go back to the home screen, it starts again and it freeze after a while. The only think I can do is to restart (power key and volume down). Nothing on the screen is responding.
The screen is not dirty and does not have any visible damage, the problem started out of nowhere.
Any tips?

How can I launch a web browser from my Java application?

I've reed about this at Question of the Week (http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/qow/archive/15/index.html). It doesn't work for me. I'm running win2000 and trying:

How can I make Firefox default browser for links in Earthlink emails? I have already verified that Firefox is my default browser, but clicking on links usually opens IE rather than Firefox.

Basically I have verified that Firefox is my default browser and it works great. Earthlink is my default email program. About 70% of the time when I click on a link in an Earthlink email it opens with Firefox, but the other 30% of the time it opens with IE, which I don't want to happen. Is there any way to fix this?

I can't launch nokia ovi plyaer

I have installed nokia ovi player, but when i'm tryiang to launch it it does nothing,as if it doesn't even exist. Neither a message nor a sound occures. It doesn't work. Please people help me. P.s. i've got nokia n8

I have almost the same problem as you do. When I try to open Ovi player, it pops up the launcher and that circle animation is (somewhat suprisingly) working. But when the main window opens up, it just freezes and doesn't respond to anything. I've sended mail to nokia support, but I haven't got any answer thus far.. I've got Vista x64 SP1 and very good hardware, so I believe that it's 100% software issue. Same thing also happened when I was using Software updater.. I've been wondering what kind of crackheads nokia has working on these softwares, 'cause none of them seems to be working (nowhere near) normally..

I updated my nokia xpress browser through a link which was sent through sms. When i tried to open the browser after a succesful update, it show showed conflicting items and the nokia xpress was listed as the conflicting item. After a while the browser stopped functioning or showing anything when i try to open it. Help me fix this problem since am now unable to use some other applications like whats app since this problem started and am also unable to log in to my nokia account. Thanks in advance.

Anyway, please, do a backup with the PC Suite or the Nokia Suite.
Then try Nokia Software Recovery Tool. Did that help?

How can I browse through oracle ebs db

Hi All,
I have a EBS 12.1.1 windows installation (with vision demo database) and I would like to have a graphical tool (instead of sqlplus) to browse through the ebs database. What tool do you suggest?
I tried oracle sqldeveloper (version 2.1.1.64.39) but I do know what parameters I have to use to get a valid connection.
I can enter the following data:
User (I tried system)
Password (I tried manager)
Role (Basic, SYSDBA) (I tried both)
Connectiontype (Basic, TNS, LDAP, Advanced) (I tried Basic and TNS)
Hostname (I tried EBS1 -> our hostname)
Port (I tried 1521)
SID or ServiceName (I tried VIS)
But the result is:
Oracle-01034: ORACLE not availableORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
Since I can login via the web, the db should be up and running...
What else can be the problem?

In the meantime I got a connection with sql developer to SID "VIS" but I'm surprised that I only can find about 100 tables. I assumed more like a few 1000. I executed the sql statement "select role_name from applsys.wf_user_role_assignments where user_name='ASADMIN'" and got a valid result but I cannot find the table "wf_user_role_assignments" in the table browser. Am I connected to the wrong database?

How can we browse through pages in a report

Could anybody please let me know how do i assign a report, to browse through pages , i get data more than 10,000 rows, so i need to narrow down the results to 100 for a page ....and have a small link below which says to go to next page ....

I think i am not able to explain properly what i need :
Mine is an interactive report :
In report attributes, pagination tab i have ,
Pagination Type ---------------Row ranges X TO Y OF Z
pagination display position--BOTTOM RIGHT
show null value as- -
max row count- 10,000
when reached max row data display message:This query returns more then 10,000 rows, please filter your data to ensure complete results.
when no data found display message:No Data Found
Above are the current settings , So the user want to browse through pages may be say 1000 at a time, so they must be 10 pages which shows the data , a link at the bottom which says next page so that he can see all the 10,000 rows...
The problem of viewing 10,000 is becoming very difficult now, so they want to see 1000 at the time ...
Is this something which can be possible?

I would try uninstalling and reinstalling following the directions in here:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

This section in particular contains important information in the uninstall process:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

Reminders is automatically installed with 10.8 or above. A new Mac should have 10.9; it's possible that, with a third-party vendor, you have an earlier OS. Check under the Apple menu in the top left and click About This Mac. That will tell you what version of OS X you have.

when I go to the help section it states there was an error launching the default browser and than I may need to reinstall the application and the help component.....how do I do this and what caused this to start happening....thanks

See if you can launch the browser from your file browser (explorer on windows and finder on mac)
If you can not, then that is an OS issue and someone here may help, but would need to know what OS you are using since the directions are different for each OS.
If it does launch , let us know and someone will help with the directions as long as you provide what OS you have and what version of photoshop you have. Again the directions differ.

Unable to add a mail account, with Invalid Password error message, yet can log into mail system OK through a browser. Mail technicians can't find the problem.

When I try to add a newly-created Bigpond account to Thunderbird, I get an error message "User Name or Password Invalid", yet I can log in to this account OK through a browser. When adding the account, Thunderbird says "Configuration found in Mozilla ISP database". I have previously successfully added Bigpond, Yahoo, Outlook and Hotmail accounts to Thunderbird and they are working fine. The Bigpond Technical Support staff have looked into this and cannot see what is wrong but they say they do not support Thunderbird. Any ideas appreciated...

For the settings that needs to be configured for your new mailbox, kindly follow the steps listed below:

Having said this, we can only provide limited assistance in setting up your email account for your Thunderbird mail client by providing the correct settings that need to be configured.)

Incoming IMAP mail: port 993
Outgoing SMTP server: smtp-mail.outlook.com

In looking at the Thunderbird error message, it seems to consistently refer to the User Name and Password. I know they are correct, as I can log in from a browser using them. Is there something in the validation rules that might be the problem? Also, you may be aware that Bigpond is migrating their old Webmail system across to the Outlook platform. Registering new e-mail accounts in Bigpond get created on the Outlook platform, whereas older accounts are still on the Bigpond Webmail system. Is this causing a problem somewhere in validation?

Can't browse through pdf in Preview's slideshow mode

I've been waiting for this issue to be fixed since Leopard was introduced but even at 10.5.3 nothing has happened.
When opening a multipaged pdf in Preview and going into slideshow mode (CommandshiftS), the next and previous buttons doesn't work. If you activate the "Index sheet" mode and the directly deactivate it again, the buttons work and I can browse through the pages of the pdf. This means that the functionality works but not without doing the Index sheet-trick. It's quite annoying to be having to do this every time I want to browse an e-book.
Has anybody got any ideas on how to fix this or is it a bug that should be fixed in 10.5.4?

I think I should've been more clear in my post. I'm used to using the arrow keys on my keyboard for flicking through the pages of the pdf and this doesn't work when entering slideshow-mode, it used to work in Tiger.
Your solution is similar to the "Index"-sheet thing I used to do. When you hit the play-button you can't immediately start browsing the pdf, you have to wait until the second page loads, right? After that the arrows are working as they should, I think this behaviour should be initiated immediately upon entering the slideshow-mode.
