Can't left click in some apps! Help!!

After upgrading to Mavericks, i can't left click on multiple apps including mails, maps etc. Even magic mouse cannot help. Any help / idea is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your reply and help. I tried the above, there werent many things in my login items. I have also deleted my startup items but even with logout or restart, the problem persist.
What i noticed when during mail app starts, i was able to left click on one email when the app is loading, but it ceased to function when it fully loads up... strange...
I did a recovery install of maverick and it yield the same results... 2hrs of my time wasted... btw, i upgraded from m lion (which worked great for me)... contemplating a reinstall of m.lion instead of using mvricks.
Seems like every road of a free os is always bumpy...

Can't Left Click in Flash Player Settings Panel - HELP PLEASE

Hi and thanks for taking the time to read this. Believe me it is a fraction of the time I have wasted trying to resolve this issue.
Basic problem is:
I am trying to stream to Ustream but since downloading AFP11 for my Windows PC when I open the Flash Player Settings panel i can't left click on anything. It is set to deny but I can't click allow, or close or any of the icons.
Right click does work.
I have followed countless instructions in other forums from other posts that have encountered the problem on Mac and older versions of AFP but as yet none of the solutions have proven succesul.
I have tried all of the following but nothing has resolved the problem.
1. Uninstall and reinstall Adobe Flash Player (although this is impossible using Google Chrome) and restart computer.
2. Unistall flash and install older version. (made no difference on Google Chrome and on IE8 had no flash whatsoever).
5. Uninstall older AFP and reinstall AFP11.
4. Uninstall Google Chrome and restart computer.
5. Uninstall QuickTime (I got this off http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f10/flash-player-not-working-properly-please-help-1 61552.html) and restart computer
6. Last resort use keyboard shortcuts such as tab, enter and ctrl+arrows. This either didn't highlight the panel at all or if it did I still couln't select allow, or close the panel itself so was no help either.
So now I'm back to square one.
Now here's a really bizarre thing... I am using a shared laptop computer and if I use my colleagues profile where she hasn't updated her AFP to Adobe Flash Player 11 the settings panel is responding just fine. IT'S THE SAME PC!
I know I am alone with this problem but someone out there has an answer. If you can help please let me know how to fix this problem where I can't left click in the Adobe Flash Player settings panel.and I will be eternily grateful.

OK the amount I hate myself right now is more than a fat guy's self loathing for raiding the fridge at 2am for Pizza but less than an armed robber who's accidentally shot a pregnant woman in the stomach during a shootout. but not much less.
So after I had miraculously got the Flash Player Setting Panel to work again, (after deleting QuickTime and leaving the window open for abut an hour it just started working again) I then got enticed into downloading the ustream producer software.
While downloading it informed me that it would only work with QuickTime.
Stupidly and Optimistically hoping it would remove the need to use flash player altogether I downloaded and installed both.
I then discovered to my horror that Ustream producer is not a patch on Vidbalster and that it was not capable of delivering the same level of broadcast.
I then opened the flash player settings panel on ustream and... the problem has returned!
This means I am 99% sure that QuickTime IS the cause of the problem so I have uninstalled QT off the PC. I have also uninstalled Ustream Producer.
The thing is though, now no matter how many times I restart, or uninstall and reinstall Adobe, or Google Chrome, I am once again UNABLE TO LEFT CLICK IN THE FLASH PLAYER SETTINGS PANEL. AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
What did I do? I fixed it and f***ing broke it again!
Now it properly will not come back to life! the problem is not solved and i urgently need help.
Why does Adobe Flash Player Settings Panel and Apple QuickTime hate each other so much that they've got to ruin my life?

Can't left click on certain folders in iTunes

WIndows 7, iTunes 10.5, iOS 5, iPhone 4
I cannot left click on certain folders in iTunes, such as Music, Movies, any of my Playlists, etc. If I left-click on them I see a red circle with a diagonal line through it. I have to right-click on it first, dismiss the pop-up window and I can access it fine.
This behavior is not exclusive - I can left click on some folders, like Apps, Ringtones, etc. Also I can left click elsewhere in iTunes like the menus at the top (File, Edit, View, etc.). I can also left-click elsewhere in Windows just fine.
Any ideas

Having the same problem with a windows computer.I can only click with the right button on the top folders. The lower folders like playlist work perfectly. I uninstalled Itunes because it had gone through an update and thought that a line of code or directory was missing but the problem persisted.
I have had no poblems with any of my macs which are all new however, when I launched Itunes which had just been updated on those machines, my macbook pro froze.
Looking for a fix...please help

These are iPad apps correct?
Do you have restrictions set on the iPad? Settings>General>Restrictions>Installing apps>Off or Settings>General>Restrictions>Allowed Content?
Are you sure that the Apps are selected to sync from the Mac to the iPad?
Connect the iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Apps Tab on the right.
Click on Install next to the apps that you want to sync.
Click on the Sync Apps Heading to select it
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
If you do not see the sidebar in iTunes 11 - go to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu.

Can`t left click and drag clip into timeline..Need advice

Can`t left click and drag clip into timeline, or drag clips around in timeline.
Can insert into timeline from Source Window but can't drag from source window.
Can cut and paste within timeline.
Restarting cs5 doesn`t help, but restarting computer solves problem for a while.
Tried many mouses, but that didn`t help.
Have no idea how I got the name OLD PRO, must have been drinking champagne years ago, because I am a bumbler par excellence!

In the Project Panel a left click highlights the asset but ignores the drag.
In the timeline, a left click highlights the panel and when I try to drag it gives a flicker but that's all.
I can cut and paste in the timeline.
A restart of CS5 has no effect. Restarting the computer solves the problem for a while.
Four different mouses--same problem.

Windows 7 64bit, Itunes 10.5.0.142
I can't left click on the music, movies, or tv shows libraries.
I have tried running Itunes as administrator, but that did not fix the issue.
I can get to the libraries in question by right clicking and then hitting esc to get out of the menu, or I can use the arrow keys to navigate to the correct library.
So I'm working around the issue, but it is very annoying.

I'm using a sony vaio laptop with Windows 7. I downloaded itunes 10 2 days ago from the apple website. I can not left click on the music library, playlists etc...mainly the whole list on the left hand side. When I left click, a red circle with a line through it comes up and allows me to move the playlist. I can only get into it by right clicking, which brings up a list (delete etc). Also the itunes help does not work. A window displaying the message 'not found' opens with this message underneath:
'The requested URL /itunes/win/10.5/ was not found on this server.'
'Apache/2.2.3 (Oracle) Server at help.apple.com Port 80'

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":

Thank you for your time. I'm trying to avoid that because she can then simply turn on mail syncronization and then she could read my mail. Another reason is our password policy, that enforces changing our windows logon password every 90 days. Of course changing windows logon passwords demands changing exchange account logon info (password) on Iphone. I have read somwhere that there was an app but it was removed from app store. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Left clicking on some links doesn't load, but opening in new tab always works.

Basically on some links, generally on a google search but occasionally elsewhere, if I left click to open them it will not load, it shows it's loading, but doesn't. If I middle click to open new tab, loads just fine 10/10 times. I've tested the same links on both IE and Chrome, and they work fine, so it does appear to be isolated to Firefox.

I think I might have figured it out. It occured to me while I only have a couple of addons (adblock, cookieExFilter and Remove Google Tracking) that remove Google tracking .. might interfere with clicking on a link. And apparently it does. Though I'd have to continue to use without the addon for a while to be sure of it.

[SOLVED] Can't left-click with mouse (but I can on a tablet)

On a recent update, I noticed that my desktop would not detect my mouse's left-click. It correctly detects middle-click and right-click, however. On the other hand, I can left-click with a tablet.
How can I make it so that it will detect both the mouse and tablet's left-clicks?
I'm using evdev for the mouse, and linuxwacom-bamboo for tablet drivers.
Edit: My bad, it was a hardware problem! Bought a new mouse to fix it.

Open mouse in system preferences and see if secondary click is on right-click.

Can't left click on Dock contextual menus?

hello thank you in advance for reading. This problem started a few weeks ago and its been more annoying then problematic, but it seems to me like theres no reason for it to be taking place. When i right/ctrl/secondary/two-finger click on an icon in the dock to pull up a contextual menu, my first reaction is to then left/primary click on whatever item i want. But this doesnt work. left clicking on, say, "quit itunes" just closes the menu the first few trys. only by right clicking a second time on the item in the menu works.. This only happens in the dock. i'm only a year into my mac experience so i don't have much more info. help?

hey thanks for the help, but removing the dock plist just defaulted its size, magnification, ect ect and didn't fix the problem at all. i've tried many difference mice, and different methods of clicking (like holding the mouse button down longer, pressing quicker, waiting a moment before clicking) but each time i right click the dock, the first couple times i left click my selection just closes the menu. which of course means re-right clicking... by this time i've gotten used to right clicking again on my selection.... but this just isn't right.

I don't understand why this doesn't work. My OS is vista. The right click for menus stopped working several months ago, so I have been using IE when I need that. The left click to select stopped working 2 days ago. So now firefox is unusable unless I can figure out why it is doing this.

I can't install or reinstall some apps on my Ipad

Hi,
I can install or reinstall some apps on my Ipad.
For instance, I accidentally lost Spotify...went back to reinstall it but the 'free' icon box is pale and un-clickable.
When I tried to update it in my list of updates, the update icon is pale and un-clickable too.
Any thoughts please?

Double check that you have not enabled the restrictions for installing and/or deleting apps
Settings>General>Restrictions.

Thinkpad S1: Can't left-click some web elements with trackpad/mouse but can click with touchscreen?

Hey so this is a strangely specific problem.
For some websites I cannot click some drop-down menus with my cordless mouse, the trackpad, or trackpoint buttons, but am able to when I press on the touchscreen. Same with some online games I used to play like: http://shape.method.ac/
In the website above, I can't click and drag where it says to "Drag to get started' (For anyone else maybe experiencing the same problem) with my mouse, but pressing and dragging on the touchscreen works just fine.
Stylus doesn't work either.
Other items are still clickable.
I can open and close windows just fine, most links work, but it's these graphic elements that I can't interface with. I can't tell if this is an OS problem, browser, or something like HTML5 causing it.
It happens consistently though. Any help would be most appreciated.

I'm having this exact same problem but it doesn't seem related to sleeping. It just happened randomly, and restarting hasn't helped.
