Can't listen to our voicemails?

Does anyone know how or why my husband and I can't listen to voicemails? We have the IPhone 4 and our phones will indicate there is a voicemail but when we go to listen to it, the phone can't retrieve it, there's no message to be played, but we both clearly know we've left one for the other person. And on top of not being able to listen to the message, we can't get rid of the indicator light that goes with new voice mail.

    Hi dreeder!
Of course, I want you and your husband to be able to utilize your voice mail! Let's figure this out right now. Have you guys updated your iPhones to iOS7? When did this issue with your voice mail begin? Please share some details for me, thank you!

  • Can you slow down a voicemail you are listening to? I can't understand what someone said to me because they spoke too fast. I just want to know how to slow down the voicemail so I can understand her if it's possible.

How can you slow down a voicemail you are listening to? Someone sent me a voicemail and they spoke way too fast for me to understand them. I want to know how to slow down the voicemail so I can understand them if that is possible.

I have to say, this is so weird because it's actually become this way in the past week maybe, and I'm sure me saying this here will be disputed, ridiculed and belittled, and that's absolutely fair, but I've got to say it... up until a few days ago, my iTunes sync/backup area really would keep more than one backup for my one, single iPhone. They were all timed and dated with a drop-down menu (which appeared if I clicked the restore button) to choose which one I wanted to roll back to, for example. Sure, I'd read about the three backups thing etc. etc. and perhaps I got that wrong or misunderstood, but I can honestly say, I only ever had at the most two backups, that I could drop-down and choose to restore from. They were there. Same iPhone. Different dates.
At the time, when this seemed to be the case, the backing-up process took quite a while. I would leave it to progress while I went and made a cup of tea, come back and it still wasn't finished running. So, not really AGES, but a little while.
Now, when I perform a backup, the progress bar almost shoots across to a finish. I'll 'fess up... that worries me most of all. I can live without the luxury of a menu of backups... but if it does it once, I'd like to be sure it does it at all.
Much more importantly though, thank you for your replies so far.
Any further input, even if it's to belittle or shame is totally welcome. I'd like to understand this a bit more.
    Thanks again.

  • How  can i listen to voicemails with a mime attachment

I have u-verse unified voicemail messages forwarded into my business e-mails.  They come in as a mime-attachment.  I cannot open them to listen to the voicemails.  Any idea if I need an application to hear these messages?  Of if there is a specific setting I need to use?

Rudegar is correct.  You've got to have a headset that is A2DP capable.  Now the good news, and this is not an advertisement.  I have a Samsung H1700 that is an A2DP unit.  It works GREAT with my 4S.  I've never had a connection problem, I can leave my phone charging in the house and go into my front yard and use my phone.  It has voice prompts, so when you go out of range it tells you.  It also tells you when it connects to the iPhone.  It's cheap, comfortable and looks professional.  The charge lasts forever the way I use it... and I do use it.  Another great unit that has never given me connection problems is the Jabra  BT530.  It also  is an a2dp unit, but it's not as loud as the Samsung and I have a hearing loss so I need the Samsung.
I keep reading where folks have BT problems, but I've gone through a 3GS units and two 4S units (the first 4S had a serious battery issue, but no issue with bluetooth.
    Hope this helps.

  • I've downloaded an audiobook from my local public library and have already listened to it.  It still shows up on my IPod, but when I sync with iTunes, I can't find it our delete it.  Please advise?

Sometimes simply restarting your iTunes, the computer and the iPad is all that it takes to correct an issue like this so try that. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, and restart the iPad. Then try the sync again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • I have learned that my sister often conference calls other people in to listen to our conversation without me knowing.  Besides asking her to stop (obviously) how can I stop it?

I have learned that my sister ofen conference calls other people in to listening to our phone conversations.  Obviously I have asked her to stop.  How can I detect her doing it?  How can I block her from doing it?

You would make this a little easier if you posted a link to the page.
Most of the jump seems to be some extra padding or margin between the tabs  when you rollover, but I am not able to find it.  Is there any other css that is governing this page? I did remove a couple of <p></p> set of tags you had  and it improved the jump, but it is still there.
If the page is live, run it through the validator http://validator.w3.org/ , fix whatever errors it finds, if you still have the jump, post a link to the page and the issue might get found.

  • LG Exalt can I listen to voicemail without putting in a password each time.

LG Exalt can I listen to voicemail without putting in a password each time

You could try adding the contact and then setting a speed dial.  In other words, add Voice Mail to your contacts with the phone number *86,,#### where the pound signs represent your voice mail password, then set that contact as a speed dial using these instructions:

  • If I imported a CD into my iTunes library from one computer how can I listen to it from another computer?

If I imported a CD into my iTunes library from one computer how can I listen to it from another computer?  I imported music from a CD into my compter at work and when I got home and went to my iTunes account none of the songs were in my library.  I also noticed that on my Work computer there were a couple songs that I had to click on the little 'cloud' icon before I could listen to them (these were not songs I imported they were songs that were already in my library).  Not sure if this makes semse...help.

My question is since I have imported them into my iTunes library from one computer why can't I access them from my iTunes library from another computer that I have authorized to access whats in my library?  Is there no way to import songs only once into the library and then access them from all my authorized computers?
Only if you have iTunes Match or of the computers are on the same local network.

No it is not possible.  Content purchased from the iTunes Store is permanently tied to the account from which it was originally purchased, and Apple does not provide a way to change it.

Each device only syncs waht you select.
Select only what you want for each phone.

  • How can I listen to a gifted iTunes song without adding my credit card?

I am having an absolute nightmare of a time with Apple. A friend gifted me with a song on iTunes. I do not have iTunes and am not a Mac user. I have found that the computers always add unnecessary steps and procedures and make even simple things far more complicated than needs be, as evidenced further here.
Bottom line, I just want to listen to the song my friend sent me. Easy, right? WRONG.
In order to do that, I needed to download iTunes. Reluctantly, I did. I was then told to download the x64 version, I did. Then, I had to create an account which asked for my personal information including home address, I shouldn't have to give this out to just listen to a song. But hesitantly, I filled it out. Then, when I tried to redeem the song, an error message popped up that said "this iTunes ID hasn't been used in the store" and to review my account, upon which clicking on it simply took me to signing in again and not going anywhere. To determine how to proceed to fix this error message, all the answers in Google were connected to Apple support communities. So then, I had to create a separate login for that. Now that I have, I'm seeing that I am being forced to add a credit card to my iTunes to listen to the download my friend sent me. Forget this. It's been two hours of this nonsense and I still haven't listened to the song. At this point I don't care at all about the song, all joy has already been removed from this gift with nothing but frustration. What a completely unnecessary waste of the few non-work hours I actually have in the evening. If anyone knows how I can just listen to the darn song to honor my friend's generosity and to not add my credit card and just get on with my life, I would greatly appreciate it.

P.S.   Do you know if the person who has an account and has sent a song as a gift can tell if it was redeemed or not? I just want this to be over.

  • My wife and my iphones are both on the same apple id.  If I create a new apple id for her, can we still share our music?

My wife and my iphones are both on the same apple id.  If I create a new apple id for her, can we still share our music?

Yes.  If you are using two different instances of iTunes on your computers, make sure the music is on both copies of iTunes.
The person with the new Apple ID will not "own" the music, as it is owned by the one with the former ID.  But the way to deal with this is for the new ID person to do Store > Authorize This Computer from iTunes' menu, then have the person with the ID that purchased the music enter his/her Apple ID and password.

  • I have an Ipod 5 and you can not listen to music unless you have headphone plugged in

I have an Ipod 5 and you can not listen to music unless you have headphones plugged in

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
