Can't load a pop-up.

I use https://fxtrade.oanda.com/login?y=1 to log into my forex account which opens a pop-up and then loads the additional screens. Since I upgraded Firefox to version 5.0.1., the pop-up opens but does not load the screens (I can open pop-up and load screens with IE9). I checked pop-up menu (my pop-up is enabled) and I cleared all history but no change.

Well.....that was my best guess! Try posting n the iPhoto forum https://discussions.apple.com/community/ilife/iphoto
There are experts over there that can help you I'm sure.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan. Remove it as follows.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
From the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
    Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the Internet criminal behind VSearch has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • Mafia Wars can not load completely because you are missing a plugin, pop up is too small to see the missing pluging, how do I find out what it is?

Yesterday, while playing Mafia Wars, I kept getting a bar notification that "The game can not load completely because you are missing a plugin? When I clicked on the box I got an 1/2" popup, which probably contains the information I need but it is too small to find out what it is. You can not maximize it. The is nothing visible to click on. Flash and Java are all up to date, as well as all other plugins. No plugins are disabled. How can I find what I am missing?

Try a program such as Disk Inventory X or OmniDiskSweeper.

My iPhone 3Gs randomly shutting off at any given moment. I could be in the middle of a text, a call, or doing some games and it'll just shut off.
Now here's the unique part. When I go to turn it back on, the apple loading screen pops up but it takes somewhere from 3-5 minutes for it to boot up. Then the lock screen with the time and whatnot shows up. From this point on, my iPhone has a chance to shut itself back down and I have to repeat the process over and over again. Most of the time the lock screen flashes and then goes straight to black (shut down) but sometimes I can make it a few menus before it shuts itself down.
The only way to keep the iPhone on is to plug it into a charger of any sort. I'm fairly certain it isn't a battery charge issue because this happens at any % of power and sometimes my iPhone can use up all of its charge and not have this happen while other times I can be at 90-100% and it could randomly shut itself down. What can I do in this situation if some has some solution to this problem please let me know on [email protected] Thanks!

Not sure if this Term is Relevant towards an iPhone but, my iPhone won't Post unless if it's plugged into a Charger.

  • Can't load Disqus comments even in safe mode

Even in Safe Mode with all add-ons disabled, I can't load Disqus comments on any site. I have also tried enabling third-party cookies and pop-up windows and made sure all my plug-ins are up to date. I don't know what else to try.
I get the message "DISQUS seems to be taking longer than usual. Reload?". When I reload I get the same message again after a few seconds. Sometimes the comments will flash on the screen for an instant and then disappear.
This is on Mac OS 10.6.8.

I don't know why your About window would say you are up-to-date if you do not have Firefox 15.
(There is an extended support release (ESR) version of Firefox 10 for companies that want their IT departments to closely manage Firefox, but that currently is numbered more like 10.0.7.)
It is possible that Firefox is incorrectly reporting its version to the forum software. If your About dialog shows a version other than 10.0.2, you might have the issues described in this article: [[Websites say that Firefox is outdated or incompatible even though it's the latest version]].

  • Firefox cannot be closed; the following message appears: "Can't load resource file, can not run". How to solve this problem; I am using Windows XP SP3

Whwn I want to close Firefox 9.x , a pop-up appears with the message: "Can't load resource file ......" . First I have to close this pop-up, then Firefox is closed. Also with other versions of Firefox I had this problem.

i deleted the rdf and now the first window only (and any tabs in it) are maximised. i found this in the rdf
    <RDF:Description RDF:about="chrome://browser/content/browser.xul#main-window"
    screenX="4"
    screenY="4"
    width="1008"
    height="461"
    sizemode="Normal" />
i tried changing normal to maximised; no effect. either i need also to change the numbers (to match a maximised window) or ff ignores this. i want to be able to open different sites in different windows, and not have to maximise them manually. ff never used to be broken, why break this? what possible security flaw was fixed by screwing up ff to never open maximised unless u hack it or delete certain config files?

  • Can't load pages in Safari 5.1 (Windows 7)

I received an auto notice to upgrade to Safari to Version 5.1 on my Dell E1505 Laptop running Windows 7.  After upgrading with the Apple Software Update tool, Safari has quit working.  It will not load any page and just hangs.  I used the windows control panel to first "repair" Safari, no change.  I uninstalled it and downloaded a fresh version from the Apple Website, no change.  I removed version 5 and downloaded version 4.03.  It now reports that it can't load the page because the website isn't responding.  Internet Explorer works as advertised.  I've reset Safari, repaired, removed, etc.  Any ideas?  Please don't make me go back to IE......
The PC is a Dell Inspiron E1505 Laptop with 2 GB Memory running Windows 7 with SP1.

  • Can't load files into Library

I recently purchased an iPod and dl'd and installed iTunes. But when I tried to add my music folder into iTunes library, it runs an error message and auto closes.
    Here's what's happening:
    1. It opens that Adding Files dialog box and starts processing files
    2. It opens the message box telling me that I have some .wma files, and I have the option of converting them to .aac
    3. No matter if I hit "Convert" or "Skip", it runs for a few more seconds, then Windows pops up with an "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" message.
I can load single files into the Library fine, but I can't load my full music folder into it.
    What's going on?

From what you posted, one file or album is perhaps messing up the whole import.
Try adding less files at once, instead of the entire folder.
    What a pain, I know!
Maybe put the wma files in a separate folder?
    Then add everthing else.

  • "Can't Load Display Bundles", error code -8076

Hi, I'm a college student who has had my Macbook Pro for about a year now and I've had no issues with it until now.
Recently, it has been doing some strange things.... running slower, freezing up, not starting correctly, keyboard malfunctioning, etc.
The biggest problem has been concerning saving/moving files, however. Whenever I try to move a file to or from my desktop to another folder on my computer, the load bar with the message "Preparing to move item A to folder B" and stays there indefinitely. When I try to cancel the function, it says that it's stopping but the bar remains until I eventually have to restart my computer.
I can't rename folders or files on my desktop either, it just pops up with a message about error code 8076.
The last big thing that's been worrying me is that my HD is nowhere to be found on my desktop, my finder, etc... I can pull it up through spotlight, but when I try to trace the path the message "Can't load display bundles" pops up in bright red font.
I'm not an expert with computers, and I'm not sure if any of these problems are related in any way, but I would love any advice. I figured I would see if I can find the answers on my own before I take it to any kind of tech support. Thank you!
    -Jessica

Sound like the OS, the Operating system OS X, is getting corrupted and along with the hard drive. I suggest you take it to an Apple Genius Bar to be looked at.

  • If I purchase a brand new I-mac today do I have to run OS Lion or can I load Snow leopard?

If I purchase a brand new I-mac today do I have to run OS Lion or can I load Snow leopard?

Just faced that question, and the answer should be that you can run SL on the latest iMac.
(Our scenario:  Bought 3 iMacs in August.  Was surprised -- and relieved! -- to see that they arrived with SL installed on them, and grey system restore disks.  One of the machines was DOA.  Futzed around with it for 6 weeks trying to get it to work, decided it was dead, drove it 4 hours to the nearest Apple Store.  They gave us a new iMac, which when we got it back, turned out to have Lion on it.  Popped in one of the three grey restore disks that had come in August, installed SL, it works without any problems.)

  • Even on Firefox 28.0 i can't load my new pages to a tab but rather it opens a new window and i see ths has been around for quite a while, can someone fix this u

I can't load pages into a new tab anymore even when i right click a link and say open in a new tab it doesn't yet i use Firefox 28.0. even when i tried 29 alpha it still had the same problem.
    What is the solution?

'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|Firefox Safe Mode]] is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
''(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)''
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item:<br>
    [[Image:FirefoxSafeMode|width=520]]<br><br>
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
    * On Windows: Hold the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * On Mac: Hold the '''option''' key while starting Firefox.
    * On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run ''firefox -safe-mode'' <br>(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]] article to find the cause.
''To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''

  • Can not load subscription websites because I don't "allow referring URLs"

I can't load ejournals (eg, JSTOR) and other sites my public library subscribes to. When I go to the resource, I get the message "Sorry, we were not able to authenticate you for access to this resource. Please adjust your Internet Security software to allow referring URLs." My default is to block third-party cookies; I tried allowing all cookies, and blocking cookies from hclib.org. The last option got me to a page where I enter a barcode, but then to the same message. I tried allowing pop-ups, but that didn't change anything. I've asked a librarian, who told me that I have to allow cookies and possibly pop-up windows, and said security software such as Norton, a firewall, or pop-up blockers could be the problem.
This is the same problem as http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/880202 , but with Firefox 3.6 on a Mac (I have the same problem with my other browser, Safari), and without Norton or any other security software that could be problematic as far as I know.

There should still be something on your computer that is blocking the referrer if it isn't Firefox.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
    See:

  • Can I load a vi into memory programmatically

    Here's the situation (I'm programming in LV7.1)...
I've got a program that runs, which uses the DSC.  I'm wanting to programmatically shut down and quit the Tag Engine when the program ends.  My problem is that when I use "Engine Shutdown.vi", all vi's that use the tag engine have to shutdown before the Tag Engine will completely shut down.  If I call this an wait (monitoring engine status for shutdown), then I get a deadlock error.  If I call this and end the program, then I get a pop up asking if I want to "Stop and close Tag Engine" (and for some reason an error afterwards as well, doesn't describe error, just that a log is being created.)  My goal is to have to pop up or dialog boxes appear that the user has to interact with when shutting down.
So the solution that I believe would be appropriate for this would be to close the main program and have a separate vi (that is independant of the main program structure) call the "Engine Shutdown.vi", then quit itself, closing LV.  So I've been messing around with this...
"Open VI Reference" with the vi path connected as an input (just a simple vi I made to kill the Tag Engine, wait until it falls, then kills Labview).  This is connected to an "Invoke Node" with the 'Run VI' method selected, property 'Wait until done' set to False, and 'Auto Dispose Ref' set to True.
This works all fine on my developement machine, but I imagine I'm going to have issues when compiling this and installing it onto it's target machine.  How would I compile this?  If I add this vi to the build as a Dynamic VI will it automatically be loaded into memory when the program runs (on the target computer)?  If not, is there any way I can programmatically load this vi into memory in such a way where it is not a subvi to my program (else it will have same issues shutting down Tag Engine)?
As always I appreciate everybody's help,
    Sean

Mike, thx for your response.  Let me run this by you...
So if I put Main.vi and Kill Engine.vi in the same folder on my developement machine, have the attached snippet of code execute when Main.vi is ready to shut down (very last thing to run, after all loops conclude) build the app (with Kill Engine.vi as a Dynamic VI), and install the app on the target machine, does it sound by you that this will work?  (Kill Engine.vi is the simple vi I made to shutdown and quit the Tag Engine, wait for this to conclude, then exit Labview).
    Thanks,
    Sean
