Can't load Apple Special Event 2010 Keynote video?

I'm not able to load the Apple keynote video! Quicktime player opens but nothing happens after wards even when i click 'play' button. Was able to view the iPad video without problems though. Any help?

I shared your frustration until I gave up and checked out the iTunes store. Just subscribe to the Apple Keynote podcast and you can download the iPad announcement. The good thing about it is that I can save the podcast on my iPhone and annoy my PC friends with the coolness of the iPad.
It would be nice if Apple would see fit to post a link to the podcast for those having trouble with the video. I can't believe we are the only ones.

Why Can't I Fast-Forward the Apple Special Event - September 1, 2010???

I started watching the 9/1/10 special event keynote and then had to come back to it later. But, I can't seem to fast-forward the video to the place I stopped watching.
Do I have to watch 30 minutes of the beginning again??

Problem DL'ing Apple Special Event September 2009

I try to download the latest episode of Apple keynotes podcast, but I keep getting the same message - "There was a problem adding "Apple Special Event September 2009" to iTunes. The file might be corrupted, or a file type that iTunes cannot play." However, I can download and play other episodes of this and some other podcasts. Actually I see this behavior for the first time since I discovered podcasts directory in iTunes Store. I am using iTunes 9 here.

Anyone, any ideas why this is happening? Am I the only one that can't download this episode?

I had been trying since it first appeared but It was there and waiting for me this morning here in the UK - iMac / OS X 10.6.
I just went and checked some other equipment :
Apple TV will still NOT stream or download it it - says "format not recognized" ...
I have an old laptop with XP on it and it won't download it either.
Looks like they are working their way through it but doing OS X first ?

Apple Special Event not working, why?

I've been trying to stream the Apple Special Event's recording from http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/r27842e/event/index.html?test=q1wa2sz3x and I see "Live broadcast" appear, and the title of the video as "Apple Special Event" ... but I get no video or audio! I get the Quicktime Connecting / Streaming screen. This has happened with other Apple event' streams too. Anyone else having this problem?

I was not able to view the Special Event. When I clicked the link on the main Apple page QuickTime would open a tiny little window, and all I got was a white screen with a blue Q, with a loading line zipping back and forth across the screen. Other movies play fine, including the Apple movie trailers & ads, YouTube, and videos on ABC.com. I tried it with QT 7.1.6 and iTunes 7.2. Then I updated to QT 7.2 and iTunes 7.3.2 and it still doesn't work.
After reading this thread (the AD search worked today!) I tried copying and pasting the URL given here. It worked for me, too. And the QT window is about 4X the size of the one that never opened when I clicked the link.

Is there anywhere I can download Apple Special Events and WWDC?

I really love to watch the Special Events and WWDC, but everytime I want to watch it my Internet is too slow. So I want to download them to watch offline on my Mac, but it is too long to convert it from YouTube. Any suggestions and where to download them?

Yes, they're on the iTunes Store and are free of charge. Login to the iTunes Store and search for WWDC, they are listed as 'podcasts' but include the video.

There are basically two ways. As mentioned, you can wait and see if the Apple decides to release an iPod version which can be vied via TV. For those who are impatient and unwilling to wait, you can always use a screen capture application to "capture" a copy of the event directly from your screen. Quality will like note be as good as what Apple would like distribute via ITMS, since the streamed files are, by their very nature, packaged for moderately low data rates over the internet in multiple display formats.
Also, does Apple keep an archive of these events?
Am sure that Apple retains the raw footage, project files, as well as, master copies of all of the various distribution formats created from their project files.

Apple Special Event 2005 - Streaming

I visit the apple site to stream the video through quicktime.
And my internet just seems to stall ??.. tried this twice on mac and pc !! still manages to either my Airport/Zoom adsl mode?.... just by resetting at the wall let's me back on the net again.
But i'm still not able to view the video!... In the very same step that i use.
1. click "watch the special event"
2. 'qucicktime' loads and begins to connect.
3. 'error' bad name/request. - (Internet Crashes)
?? please help someone. just one of those things that should work.

note. i'm using latest and updated quicktimes on both mac/pc

"bad username/request" may mean that QT couldnt keep a good hook into the stream.
Oh..and it was you(!) that crashed the internet this morning?
I thought it was my cousin -- he's always bringing it down.
(As in, "Rick, I crashed the internet this morning"...I always thought it was because he was on a PC).
No wonder i couldn't get to cnn.com..

Still can't load Apple OS X

My problem is after first screen where you choose your language a yellow warning triangle comes up and says you cannot load apple on this computer. At this stage there is the usual row of options on the top of the screen. You cannot access these until you quit the warning message.
I am at my wits end with this.Any help would be very gratefully appreciated.
P.S. I did not install windows it was already installed when I bought the Macbook.

There are at least 3 variables to your problem. The hard drive, the ram, and the optical drive. You need to change one of them to see where the problem points to. I don't think the order of the change will make much difference. Problems are always found at the last place you look
To get rid of the variables on your existing drive you could try to install Leopard to an external hard drive that is properly partitioned with the right Partition Scheme for your CPU and formatted as HFS+ Journaled. If that works you can SuperDuper! clone the new OS onto the old boot partition on your original drive. This would leave the existing Windows partition alone.
If you can't install to an external drive, then I suspect any 3rd party ram is getting in the way or the optical drive is having problems reading the DVD.
If it's 3rd party ram, it can usually be removed during installation and replaced later (your profile doesn't say how much you have). The installer seems to be more sensitive than the actual OS.
If it's the optical drive you can try to use the drive in your iMac by booting it in target mode and connecting it to your Laptop.

WWDC 2013 was streamed live. I'm not sure if that was the first Apple event that was streamed live for iOS devices.
I started watching it on my Mac and later finished it on my iPhone.
I'm assuming this event will be live as well. In the past, tech websites would run a live blog of the event.

Apple Special Event - Keynote

I am watching Steve Jobs' Keynote announcing the new iMacs. I would love to stream this to my AppleTV and watch it on my Plasma TV. Is that possible somehow? I don't see a way to capture it and export it...I know that Apple doesn't typically allow you to actually download these keynotes - even with QT Pro...but it seems that there would be some functionality now available with Apple TV. Anyone have any ideas?

Hmm. I just got the darn thing to work after all. I had to go into Quicktime 7.2 preferences, the advanced panel, Transport Setup, choose Custom and use HTTP on port 80. It was originally set to use RTSP on port 554.
So for me at least it seems this was a silent and sorta sneaky firewall issue. I don't know why. Nothing's different about my router's firewall setting or the settings in my OS X 10.4.10 firewall setup either.
(and I run Little Snitch and it's always had rules to allow Quicktime both the RTSP 554 and HTTP 80 options)
Go figure. Anyway I'm watching Steve pitch me the iMac!!!

Can't load Apple TV

'An error occurred loading this content. Try again later.' This comes up on the TV screen when I open my Apple TV. What did I do wrong? I keep trying and it's been several days. We don't seem to have any loose wires or missing connections. Can anyone help?

Answers can only be as helpful as the details provided, and really none were given here. What were you doing when you got this error? Selecting a Movie, TV show, Podcast, etc. Where were you selecting it from? iCloud, local iTunes, something you ripped? Can you play the content in question from your computer?

Apple Special Event podcast

I subscribe to Apple Keynotes and sync them to my iPhone 3GS, but the latest one of September 9th. does not transfer, and iTunes says the file might be corrupted or a file type that iTunes cannot play.
Any idea why this is happening?

It's corrupt for me as well. The file acts as though it downloads, however it downloads a corrupt version where the audio sounds ok but the video only shows about 1 frame a minute.
Please upload a good version of the video so i can enjoy it.

80073712 Error Message can't load Apple Application Support Windows 7

I cannot get iTunes to load. Apple Application Support error message 80073712. I have tried all Apple website solutions and they don't work.

Can't load Apple Discussion page in Safari

The phone Tech support people have tried to help me with the problem I am having loading the discussion pages on Safari. The only way I can get to it is on Firefox. In the Safari cache, there are several files filled with binary codes, and the last rep I talked to thought the Safari cache might have something to do with it. Also, weird console logs. Any ideas? It appears to be fixed I am using Safari right now.
All I had to do was Toss my Cookies.
I could browse Discussions as long as I never logged on but as soon as I logged in I would get Error "The page cannot be displayed" and then I would not be able to get anywhere in the discussions without getting that error. I would have to quit and restart Safari just so I could read Discussions, as long as I never tried to log in.
Just delete your cookies I did not try to figure which one was bad I just deleted them all.

CTrying to figure out why I can't load or copy any photo or video files from my laptop to my IPhone. I have a 3gs and am using the latest verson

My laptop uses Windows 7 and, on several occasions, I've tried to copy photos and videos to my IPhone so I can take them with me but nothing seems to work. I always get a message saying that the devise is no longer connected or failed to work. This applies to all functions of copy/paste or drag and drop. I was told that it had something to do with the way I was set up with regard to syncing but I'm not able to find anything that changes it. I can copy files to my Cloud Drive on the computer but nothing ever transfers in from my phone either. What's up?

What is selected under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
If the videos are in an iPhone compatible format and are in a folder of photos selected to be transferred to your iPhone under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, do you also have Include Videos selected under the Photos tab?
Or if the videos are in an iPhone compatible format, they need to be in your iTunes library and can be selected under the Movies tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes to be transferred to your iPhone.
