Screen saver - Can't load bundle
I'm trying to use some pictures for the screen saver on my recently upgraded MM (10.5.1). Whether I choose the default pics or my own I get a message...
Can't load screen saver
Screen saver "Forest" did not load properly. Please select another screen saver.
Error: Can't load bundle
This seems to be suggesting that I need to reinstall something. Anybody got any ideas what, please?I am having the same issue with any of the Pictures type of screensavers. Only the Computer Name and Flurry work. I did manage to get the Screensaver preferences to crash. The results are below:

Screensaver error: "Can't load bundle"
Hi,
I downloaded a screen saver (from a trustworthy source) in a .sit file, unzipped it to a .saver file, and when I try to load it I get the following error message:
"Screen saver “ico screensaver” did not load properly. Please select another screen saver.
Error: Can’t load bundle"
I am running on an iMac with Leopard 10.5.6 ...
Any suggestions?Contact the author of the screen saver. Sounds like it's damaged. Of course, if the screen saver came packaged in a .sit file, I would seriously re-consider using the screen saver. Using a .sit file was once the standard, but not for a long time. Any developer these days who puts files in a .sit file for distribution is demonstrating that he/she knows squat about the Mac, and thus calling into question his/her ability to write software for the Mac.
(I'm not just saying that to be mean... it's likely that putting it in a .sit file damaged the file.)

"Can't Load Display Bundles", error code -8076
Hi, I'm a college student who has had my Macbook Pro for about a year now and I've had no issues with it until now.
Recently, it has been doing some strange things.... running slower, freezing up, not starting correctly, keyboard malfunctioning, etc.
The biggest problem has been concerning saving/moving files, however. Whenever I try to move a file to or from my desktop to another folder on my computer, the load bar with the message "Preparing to move item A to folder B" and stays there indefinitely. When I try to cancel the function, it says that it's stopping but the bar remains until I eventually have to restart my computer.
I can't rename folders or files on my desktop either, it just pops up with a message about error code 8076.
The last big thing that's been worrying me is that my HD is nowhere to be found on my desktop, my finder, etc... I can pull it up through spotlight, but when I try to trace the path the message "Can't load display bundles" pops up in bright red font.
I'm not an expert with computers, and I'm not sure if any of these problems are related in any way, but I would love any advice. I figured I would see if I can find the answers on my own before I take it to any kind of tech support. Thank you!
-JessicaSound like the OS, the Operating system OS X, is getting corrupted and along with the hard drive. I suggest you take it to an Apple Genius Bar to be looked at.

plz guys help me i need this for my graduation project also if anyone know kind of tutorialsfor building J2me/J2EE application using wifi plzzzsend me links or anything ,thx in advanceThis can happen after modifying the calendar properties and not reloading the application. Try reloading or restarting the application. This could also mean the Calendar.properties file has been moved, deleted, or become corrupted. A default properties file can be found at:
"Tomcat-install-dir"\webapps\"your-web-application"\WEB-INF\classes\defaultPropFile\. Copy this file to: "Tomcat-install-dir"\webapps\"your-web-application"\WEB-INF\classes\. Stop and restart the web server. From a browser, run "hostname"/"your-web-application"/src/setupCalendar.jsp. -
Can't find bundle for base....
Help needed....
When making a ResourceBundle.getbundle("texter",getlocale())
from an applet, within Init, I get MissingResourceException with the message Can't find bundle for base name texter....
Also, to mention is that within Init I set SystemSecuity.addProvider("IAIK")This is removed in destroy SystemSecurity.removeProvider ("IAIK").
The name on the properties file is texter.properties.
The above problem only occur the second time the applet initializes.
The applet is located in a servlets application.
Operating system is Windows NT, using IE and Netscape.
Last but not least, this is only a problem when using JRE 1.4 not when using JRE 1.3.Hello!
I am using IBM WebSphere Test Environment as a servletEngine, i put the propertiesfile in a jarfile together with
the appletpackage. So the servletpage loads everithing in the jarfile to the client. The strange thing is that this works the first time but not the second time.
Thanksfull for any suggestions!

IPod Updater can't find bundle folder Binary-5
I seem to be having trouble even restoring my factory settings on my 60g ipod. I of course have been having the sync problem as well, NOTHING has transferred and now, when I run the updater I log the following message in the console, "iPod Updater can't find bundle folder Binary-5" I have no idea what this means. Also, when running disk utility I get the following: "Checking HFS Plus volume.
Invalid B-tree node size
Invalid B-tree node size
The volume needs to be repaired.
Volume check failed.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit (-9972)
1 volume checked
0 HFS volumes verified
1 volume failed verification"
Suffice it to say my ipod no longer appears in Itunes 5.0.1 nor on my desktop but I can see it in System Profiler and (greyed out) in Disk Utility. Also I'm unable to run Software Update by the normal means, I have to do so with a "sudo" command in terminal in order to install anything. Is this a possible permissions issue as well? Does anyone have any ideas that can point me in the right direction for correction?
ThanksOk! Simple.
Plug in your iPod to your new computer.
Go to Files and click "Transfer purchases from iPod"
Now, this is the simplest way to put your purchased music on another computer.
You will be asked to authorize the new computer to have the iPod's content.
Authorize it. You have a total of five computers that you can authorize.
However, if not all your music has been purchased from an iTunes store, like CD's, you can download (among many other programs of this kind) iPodRip. Once you have downloaded it, plug in your iPod and within one minute, it will transfer all the iPod's content, music as well as videos and playlists..., back to the computer.
To put everything back to iTunes, click on the Recover Songs icon. A box will appear asking you if you want to load everything back to iTunes and/or Hard Drive. Check both options (or at least iTunes).
Wait for a while, the time for your music to load back, and voilà! Your iTunes will be just like the one you had.
Try that and tell me if it helped!

Can I load xml file from SWC without using @embed
I'm developing a mobile application in which I need to load xml files from File.applicationDirectory. This works great if the xml files are part of the main application swf. But I would like to move these xml files into a SWC so they could be shared across multiple applications.
Using FlashBuilder 4.5, when a SWC is built, I can specify files to embed in the library that are not assets (Assets Tab of Flex Library Build Path). For various design reasons, I do NOT want to embed the xml files via @embed.
When the swc is built and I open it up using a zip utility, I see the xml files in there just fine. So they are being bundled with the SWC. But how can I load these files in my main application that does not involve using @embed? When the main application is built, the swc setting for link type is "merged into code".
I wouldn't expect the application to automatically pull out the xml files from the swc and place them in the File.applicationDirectory on the mobile device. I've tried loading from there just in case but file.exists is false (as expected).
I've searched the web (and continue to do so) and all the answers seem to be to use @embed. Is there another way?
RandyIt's actually a lot easier than you think.
Just reference the file like any'ol URL using a path relative to the SWC's src directory.
So if you include the file "assets/xml/some.xml", just use that same string like you would any remote resource.
For example:
var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader( new URLRequest("assets/xml/some.xml"));
I believe it would also work like this "/assets/xml/some.xml", but I prefer relative paths so the link doesnt break if moved out of the SWC... -
My iphoto9 has not been able to open for over 10 days!! I can't load my Christmas pics, etc. I know the pics are still there because I can access them through a round about way. Can anyone help me to OPEN iPHOTO!?
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List. -
Quick Look not loading bundles
I've gone and done something silly, and now I need to figure out how to undo what I've broken.
First a little background: I was going though my process tree in Activity Monitor, looking for whatever app was blocking a game I was running. Without thinking too much about it I shut-down Quicklook with no noticeable effect so I didn't think too much about it.
After I a reboot, I've discovered I have a bit of a problem though: It seems something about Quicklook cannot load it's bundles. If I click on a file (most often a media file like a JPEG, MOV, or AVI) OS/X tries to load the thumbnail in the final preview column (under column view) and the poor OS will all but stall out. Eventually after upwards of a minute OS/X grunts its way through and I'm left with red lettering where the thumbnail should be that reads something to the effect of "Can't load preview bundles". (**I'm on my Linux machine @ work. I'll update this with the exact wording later when I get home.) After the initial failure the OS won't stall again until after another reboot, but once the stall has happened there are no preview capabilities for anything anymore.
What I've been trying to figure out is how the Quicklook subsystem works and where to start troubleshooting this issue. It feels very much like a corrupted database kind of thing - with the long timeout and all - and that suggests maybe looking at Spotlight first. However, the error is complaining about not being able to load bundles - which seem to be more specifically related to Quicklook.
I'd appreciate any input with regards to either the Spotlight subsystem or the Quicklook subsystem, or even if you've seen this behaviour before and know of a fix.Okay... For all of you lookie-loos that have come by and have not contributed, I'm assuming that you're either curious or unfortunately looking to fix the same problem.
The good news is the problem has been resolved. The bad news is the resolution came in such a way that the true cause of the problem is indeterminate.
It turned out that my vintage 2006 OEM 250GB Western Digital drive developed a bucket-load of bad sectors. S.M.A.R.T. checked-out, but when I went to "repair" the drive, Drive Utility said it couldn't continue and that I needed to re-format the drive. Upon repartitioning the drive I noticed that I'd lost 36MB of space. Somewhat of an inconsequential number, but when a drive starts indescriminately throwing sectors, most of which are at the head of the volume, I'm not about to take any chances. The drive was also quite slow to go through the inital steps of setting up the filesystem.
A new drive means, of course, a re-install of the OS. It didn't make sense to try and restore a suspect filesystem completely from backup. Again, this obviously fixed the problem, but now I'll never know for certain if it was the bad sectors that just happened to land in the place where the bundles were stored, or if it was a corrupt database, filesystem (Splitting hairs, I know.) , or broken/misconfigured setting.
Hope this helps. -
SQLDeveloper error "Can't load AMD 64-bit .dll on a IA 32-bit platform"
Hi
I've installed SQL Developer.
It starts, but when I try to connect to the HR database I get the following error message:
An error was encountered performing the requested operation:
C:\oracleee\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\BIN\ocijdbc11.dll: Can't load AMD 64-bit .dll on a IA 32-bit platform
Vendor code 0I already have Oracle EE installed, and have installed JDeveloper today. Both are running with no problems.
SQLDeveloper, I initially downloaded without the JDK, but that didn't work, and reading the many replies to other people who had had the same problem (something about mscvr7.dll or some such), as per their exhortations I downloaded the SQLDeveloper that includes the JDK, which happens to be 32 bit (there is no 64 bit SQL Developer with JDK bundled with it). I'm running 64-bit W7.
Can anybody help me here? I don't have much of a clue when it comes to JDKs.
Many thanks,
Jason>
Could you try to install JDK 64bit (not bundled)?
>
Hi,
is the problem that I don't have a 64-bit JDK? I thought it might be the other way round.
I think the following says I have a 64 bit java something, though is that the JRE, rather than the JDK?
C:\Users\J>echo %JAVA_HOME%
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin
C:\Users\J>java -version
java version "1.7.0_04"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_04-b22)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.0-b21, mixed mode)
C:\Users\J>java -d32 -version
Error: This Java instance does not support a 32-bit JVM.
Please install the desired version.
C:\Users\J>java -d64 -version
java version "1.7.0_04"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_04-b22)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.0-b21, mixed mode)So, am I not running 64-bit? Maybe I need a 32-bit JDK...but then...SQLDeveloper was bundled with a JDK and there was only one option for that - 32bit!
Thanks,

How can I load my data faster? Is there a SQL solution instead of PL/SQL?
11.2.0.2
Solaris 10 sparc
I need to backfill invoices from a customer. The raw data has 3.1 million records. I have used pl/sql to load these invoices into our system (dev), however, our issue is the amount of time it's taking to run the load - effectively running at approx 4 hours. (Raw data has been loaded into a staging table)
My research keeps coming back to one concept: sql is faster than pl/sql. Where I'm stuck is the need to programmatically load the data. The invoice table has a sequence on it (primary key = invoice_id)...the invoice_header and invoice_address tables use the invoice_id as a foreign key. So my script takes advantage of knowing the primary key and uses that on the subsequent inserts to the subordinate invoice_header and invoice_address tables, respectively.
My script is below. What I'm asking is if there are other ideas on the quickest way to load this data...what am I not considering? I have to load the data in dev, qa, then production so the sequences and such change between the environments. I've dummied down the code to protect the customer; syntax and correctness of the code posted here (on the forum) is moot...it's only posted to give the framework for what I currently have.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated; how can I load the data faster knowing that I need to know sequence values for inserts into other tables?

You could use insert all in your case and make use of sequence.NEXTVAL and sequence.CURRVAL like so (excuse any typos - I can't test without table definitions). I've done the first 2 tables, so it's just a matter of adding the rest in...
INSERT ALL
INTO invoice nologging
VALUES ( SEQ_INVOICE_ID.NEXTVAL,
BILL_DATE,
my_guid,
'111111',
'NONE',
CAST(BILL_DATE AS TIMESTAMP),
CAST(UPDT_DT AS TIMESTAMP),
'READ',
'PAPER',
payer_customer,
parsed_francises,
'111111'
INTO invoice_header
VALUES ( SEQ_INVOICE_ID.CURRVAL,
TRIM (LEADING 0 FROM billing_document), --invoice_num
NULL,
BILL_DATE, --invoice_date
TO_PO_NUMBER,
NULL,
net_amount,
NULL,
tax_amt,
NULL,
NULL,
due_date,
NULL,
NULL,
NULL,
NULL,
NULL,
SYSTIMESTAMP,
SYSTIMESTAMP,
NET_AMOUNT_CURRENCY,
bc_value,
BILL_DATE)
SELECT
src.billing_type,
src.currency,
src.billing_document,
src.drop_ship_ind,
src.to_po_number,
src.to_purchase_order,
src.due_date,
src.bill_date,
src.tax_amt,
src.payer_customer,
src.to_acct_no,
src.bill_to_acct_no,
src.net_amount,
src.net_amount_currency,
src.order_dt,
src.to_customer,
src.to_name,
src.franchises,
src.updt_dt,
str_parser (src.FRANCHISES) parsed_franchises,
'import' || TO_CHAR (CURRENT_TIMESTAMP, 'hhmissff') my_guid,
i.bc_value
FROM BACKFILL_INVOICES src,
invsvc_owner.billing_codes i
WHERE i.bc_name = src.BILLING_TYPE;Some things to note
1. Don't commit in a loop - you only add to the run time and load on the box ultimately reducing scalability and removing transactional integrity. Commit once at the end of the job.
2. Make sure you specify the list of columns you are inserting into as well as the values or columns you are selecting. This is good practice as it protects your code from compilation issues in the event of new columns being added to tables. Also it makes it very clear what you are inserting where.
3. If you use WHEN OTHERS THEN... to log something, make sure you either rollback or raise the exception. What you have done in your code is say - I don't care what the problem is, just commit whatever has been done. This is not good practice.

Can we load data using .xls in user define format(without using default template)
Hi All,
I'm new bee to FDM. Part of HFM support i use FDM to load flatfile data. Just has a bit more knowledge than end user.
Requirement is that i need to load data from MS excel to Planning application via FDM.
Previously application is in Excel(Macro driven) and upstream(data) is also in Excel(multi tab).
As of my knowledge data can be loaded from .csv file(Excel save as CSV) with single tab.
Could you please let me know possibilities to load data from .xls(.xlsx) to FDM.
Thanks in advance. If you want to load data using Excel, utilising FDM's out-of-the-box functionality you will have to use one of the templates supplied i.e. Excel Trial Balance or Excel Multi-load template.
