Can't load library

I have two Macs at home, each with an iTunes library, but my main library is stored on a Drobo attached to a MacMini. I use this with my Apple TV (2) daily and it has been working well for months. Suddenly it started taking a long time to start playing TV shows, and sometimes having to buffer in the middle of them. Yesterday all seemed OK, and we watched a movie in the afternoon. Later it simply stopped loading the library, and now all I get is the spinning lines and "Loading Library" message.
The other iTunes library works fine. I can't pinpoint the problem because I can use Homesharing with my iPhone, so I'm guessing there isn't a problem with the network, the Drobo or the MacMini, and the fact the other iTunes library works means the Apple TV is OK?
It's very frustrating - tried rebooting everything and resetting Apple TV. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

I doubt the issue is the AppleTV (though it could be).
It is either the Drobo or perhaps more likely some corruption of the library held on the Drobo, the latter problem can be difficult to pin down except by creating a test library (start option while opening iTunes) on the same suspected problem disk to see if it has the same issues (it wouldn't have to be huge).
Are all disks healthy on the Drobo? It's not rebuilding/redistributing data after a large file  deletion or new disc addition? Does the Drobo perform well for other tasks? Any Drobo/Drobo dashboard updates recently?  I assume the Drobo is not sleeping?

    My previous proposed solution (of installing the 64-bit JRE) resulted in a different problem. After multiple attempts and restarts I was unable to work in the Flash Builder IDE as it became unresponsive on load. Each time I had to use Task Manager to close the application.
    Apparent Solution:
    Close all applications running in Windows
    Uninstall all versions of JRE (Java Runtime Environment)
    Uninstall Flash Builder 4.7
    Reinstall Flash Builder 4.7

    Thanks in advance.
    Vijay.

    Hi all,
    I give you the clear details about the issue what i am currently facing,
    1. I installed the 11g (11.2.0) database alone(No EBS) in my local vmware machine.
    2. Created my ORACLE_HOME under /u01/oracle/prod/tech_st/product/11.2.0/db_1 directory after that i tried to change my home location from /u01/oracle/prod/tech_st/product/11.2.0/db_1 location to /u01/oracle/db/tech_st/product/11.2.0/db_1 location, like created /u01/oracle/db directory and moved files from /u01/oracle/prod location.
    3. I changed my bash_profile and exported home with the modified location also deregistered an old home and registered the new home.
    4. When i am issuing echo $ORACLE_HOME it is showing the current home location and ORACLE_SID is same what i created before.
    5. But when i am trying to create one more db using DBCA utility it is through the above error.
    Please suggest me is it possible to change the location after db creation or any extra steps i have to do for this issue.
    Thanks.

  • Can't load library?.... that doesn't exist

    Hi, I am trying to play a movie clip that I have on my computer, and when I goto run the program, it says: java.land.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Can't load library: C:\...\jpf-demo-src-0.8/libjvlc.so
    There is no library called libjvlc.so, I have done a search on my computer, and looked through the jvlc folder, and the only thing close is vlc-libvlc-jni.cc. All help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    I realized the problem, the files for windows files
    are not up for download on the main page, but I found
    them in the FAQ page and the files do not match....You noted the following error....
    .....Can't load library: C:\...\jpf-demo-src-0.8/libjvlc.so
    There is only one way for that to occur on a windows box - the java code is explicitly trying to load that library.
    That means
    1. You MUST find a different source for the java code or you MUST modify it. It doesn't matter what you do a linux library (so file) will not work on windows.
    2. You MUST have a version of that library that will work on windows. That means that either you must find one or you must create one.
    Until you have done the above it will not work on windows. There are no other options with what you have.

  • Purify-"Can't load library c:\jdk1.3.1\jre\bin\verify.dll"

    I have JVM crash problem. So I tried to use purify to check the memory array boundary and other memory issues.
    When I set purify to get "Memory profiling data" in "Run program" dialog, everything is ok. But if I want to get "Error and leak data", it always complained
    "Can't load library c:\jdk1.3.1\jre\bin\verify.dll", because access is denied. Could not create the Java virtual machine."
    I have tried JVM1.4 and JVM1.3 For JVM1.3, I am using -classic as purify requested.
    Any information will be greatly appeciated. And I am dyning for the JVM crash problem. I have checked the c and JNI code and feel hard to find the problem by reading. Is there any other way or tools I can use? I have tried -Xcheck:jni, jdb. Nothing is useful. Thanks a lot.

    I have JVM crash problem. So I tried to use purify to
    check the memory array boundary and other memory
    issues. Do you have any native code (JNI) of your own? If not, this exercise is likely to be a complete waste of time on your part, since it won't lead you to anything in your source that can be changed to fix it. It's a Java VM bug, and you'll have to deal with it in other ways.
    It's entirely possible that Purify has some problems handling the JDK 1.3.1 verify.dll - probably because of some unexpected object structure or layout within it. Have you contacted Purify support?
    But like I said, this is just going to be a complete waste of time on your part. Try a newer JDK (1.3.1_03 if you must stay with 1.3.1, or use the IBM 1.3 JDK, or just go to JDK 1.4.1), and see if you still run into this.

  • Runexec Can't Load Library - Help Please!!!

    I am running the following code on AIX 4.3.3 (just snippets):
    ->
    String line;
    String line2;
    String inCmd = {"/path/command -l " + strInParam};
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(inCmd);
    p.waitFor();
    BufferedReader input = new BufferedReader (new InputStreamReader(p.getInputStream()));
    BufferedReader error = new BufferedReader (new InputStreamReader(p.getErrorStream()));

    The command I'm executing works fine when it's executed from the command line with the same user, but the java error stream kicks out the following error when I run the code:
    "SERVERERROR] Error from Server: Error Loading Library 'libsybase'"
    I checked the path in java.library.path, and the path to the libraries are there. I can also run other commands and not get this error, such as the DB2 command.
    Any ideas of what the problem could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.

    Thanks for your response. I'm not sure what you mean by application server. I was able to put the same command in Perl and it worked fine. Could it be an environment variable or something not being set? I can see all of the paths under java.library.path.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Zen Touch - Can't Load Library to Creative Media Sou

    Background: Creative Zen Touch, 40GB, with 536 albums/5800 tracks. Microsoft XP. Have loaded latest version of MediaSource. Have also deleted library from laptop hard dri've (as instructed on Creative knowledgebase site, with assumption that it could be corrupt.) Have not reset the player, since it seems fine, standalone. Have rebooted the laptop.
    I'm a moron...though I really did try to search forums and knowledgebase before this plea for help.
    Symptom: Player works fine. When I plug it into laptop, it's recognized, and "Loading Library, Please Wait" screen appears, but there's no activity shown in the screen (e.g. progress bar). Player shows "docked".
    How I may have screwed things up: I was in MediaSource yesterday, looking at library of the player. I noticed a typo and changed it in MediaSource. Other than that, I'm not sure what I might have done. No changes to laptop configuration.
    Sincere thanks.

    Update: I've now uninstalled and reinstalled the software (player and MediaSource) from the laptop. I've also reinstalled the device driver, since this didn't seem to come across in the full-software installation. No change in symptom: laptop still won't loan library from player. Thanks.
