Can't load more than 2gig on 40 gig iPod. Inexplicably skips too.

I have a 40 gig click wheel iPod that I purchased new 1 1/2 years ago. I've been having 2 problems lately.
One, I can't put more than 2 gigs of music on it. When in iTunes, at about the 2.1 gig point, when I try to load anymore music the iPod will lock up. The only thing I can do is restore it and settle for only using 2 gig worth of the hard drive.
Two, the iPod will skip. Certain songs will skip every time I try to play them, others only sometimes.
I have already tried restoring it and the software is up to date.
If anyone has the solution I'd apreciate a response.

Sounds about like the same problem I am having. Mine locks up a lot when I try and upload songs to my ipod. Also I can't transfer files to my iPod sometimes, and when I can they are under a gig. Otherwise it locks up and I can't do anything with it. Some songs randomly skip and some lock the IpoD.
Help please. I have tried restoring and what not 500 times.

I would be inclined to reinstall your printer drivers, if reinstalling Adobe Reader hasn't resolved it.
Go to the web site of your printer manufacturer - then click on "Support" or "Downloads" to get the latest drivers.
One thing you can try as an alternative is print to another printer and see if you still have the same issue - you can then narrow it down to being an Adobe problem or a printer software problem.
If you don't have another physical printer installed, check to see if you have a virtual printer like "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" or "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer".
Both of these 'virtual' printers will print your document as a file that you can view on screen which is good for testing purposes. If you have the same problem with another printer or one of these virtual printers then the problem may be with Adobe Reader.

Can't load more than 6 tabs simultaneously

If I try to open a large group of tabs all at once, the first few will manage to load before stalling out. After that, none of the tabs will load any further. Some stall part way through; most stall without showing any more than a blank page.
If I start killing tabs, eventually they'll start loading. The threshold seems to be around 6. If there are 6 tabs simultaneously loading, it'll work. More than that, and I'm stuck.
This works FINE on my Mac at home. I use it to open groups of related tabs (comics, news, etc.) so I can go through them all in one sitting. Under windows, though, it's a complete wash.
This is pretty much a dealbreaker. Unless someone has some advice, I think I'm gonna have to go back to Chrome. :/

I'm at work. If it were a problem with my internet connection in any way, though, I'd have the same problem with other browsers. Most notably, this problem doesn't exist in Chrome, which is also rendering using Webkit.

Can Dreamweaver Load More Than One Audio Player?

I have audio files on my site, and they are in Quicktime, but clients are complaining that they can't hear the audio because they don't have Quicktime installed...
Is it possible for me to load more that one media player and how?

Don't use WAV! Some mac people won't be able to hear them. Almost everyone has an MP3 player, be it iPod, iTunes, QuickTime, or something else.
Don't test media in Dreamweaver. Test media in your web browser.
Not to beat a dead horse here but to reach the widest audience, you really should use MP3 and embed a Flash MP3 player on your page.

If using one computer for several iPods/iPads etc can you have more than one iTunes account. iPods/Pads etc have a variety of user names

We have three of us with a selection of iPads/iPods all downloading through one desktop computer. Can we set up more than one library on the desktop so each person only sees there only downloads/music etc.

Can't load more than 24

hi- i have a class that loads external images one by one.
After one is complete, it begins loading the next till they are all
in. Works fine....next, after the first image is "ready", a timer
starts at intervals of 4000 mls. Each event of the timer, gives the
current image showing an alpha of 0, and then fades in the next. If
i load only 23 images or less, the whole thing is smooth. Add any
more, and it looses resources (or something)- it just becomes super
choppy. I am not sure where the resource problem is coming from. I
have checked all my enter_frames and they seem to be removing event
listeners well at the end of the necessary events....is there
something else i should be thinking about?

Can't load more than one photo to new 80 GB IPod

Hello All,
I have a new 80 GB IPod and have successfully loaded one low res jpg photo but that's all I can load. I select my named folder in the photo tab window and hit "apply" and nothing happens. I've tried dragging and dropping the photos (to the photo window and to my IPod icon in the ITunes window on the left ) and that doesn't work. All my photos are small, 72 dpi jpgs. I read the answers to another user with the same question but did not find a solution.

I lost my 6th generation ipod nano a few months ago. Bought a 4th generation, synced to my itunes library, and now found my old 6th gen nano. The 6th gen nano has my old music on it, but I'm actually more interested in just being able to sync it with my current itunes library. I've since added songs and changed a few playlists. Note - I've been using the same computer all along. If memory serves, I may have had to reinstall itunes software when I purchased the 4th gen ipod for syncing - but I'm pretty sure all my music was still on my computer. Any advice welcome. Thanks so much for the link stedman1 - and it's likely the third option since I'm the only one on the computer. However, when I connect my newly re0discovered gen 6 ipod, a dialogue box appears stating An Ipod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the ipod. Then try again. If the problem persists, please uninstall Itunes. Then install Itunes again.
I would think the all my apples devices would just be able to plug into my library. The gen 6 was mine - so even though i lost it for a while, I would assume, it's still would read as mine. And I'm not tech savvy enough to really trust that all my music on my computer will be reinstated in to the library. (Not to mention the window on the ipod itself is asking me to reset or cancel - which means I lose all that other music. I'm worried if I reset my Ipod gen 6 to get it to try and sync with my existing library, I 'll lose both the music on my Ipod (which is ok) AND not be able to recover and then sync the music in my library. (which is not OK). Any suggestions or advice for the technically challenged?

I have a problem: I can't print more than 75 reports without restarting my application.
I'm using VB, Visual Studio 2005 and Crystal Reports Developer XI Release 2.
It's a windows application.
In the following examples I'm exporting to pdf but the same hapens if I put it on a viewer.
I tried to do some tests to find out the problem. I don't have a solution yet
Test 1:
I made a cycle printing 100 times the same report. I used the code from an example that was in the BusinessObjects website and just put it into a cycle. At 75 I get the error "Load Report Failed"

Already tried that, then I get another problem...
After exporting the first report, takes 1 or 2 minutes doing the Close and the Dispose, and after that it takes too long trying to load the next report (after 1 hour I give up!).

Firefox browser continues to hang and sometimes crashes when trying to load more than 10 bookmarks in tabs. Please help with my request as I would like to choose which tabs will load webpages and have all others stopped.

I have thousands of favorites and Firefox is my web-browser of choice. Sadly I'm backed up on what bookmarks I have stored and if the websites are still active or not.

My PC supports Windows 7 OS which I have as a multiboot alternative when my PC starts up.
I have continually waited and it says Firefox is not responding and I may be able to see the multiple tabs opened in my browser but cannot navigate or access them.
I have read on various sites that users have had as many as 1500 bookmarks load at once in tabs in the Firefox browser version that are outdated.
I have not been successful with just loading 50 bookmarks my goal is to be able to have 500 tabs loaded in firefox with webpage loading stopped on all of them. I will choose reload for about 10 tabs at a time to view webpage content and then close and move on to the rest.
My ultimate goal is to clear up the Thousands of bookmarks I have piling on for the past 6 years and some are duplicates or similar page sites.
Their is no Firefox 3rd party addons that I could locate that would allow this. Only to restrict the number of tabs loaded by giving warning messages when limit is reached.
Please assist me as it will greatly help me with finally deleting and re-organizing my Favorite and frequent websites in my Browser of choice Firefox.

Firebug is notorious for causing problems like you described.
Disable it when you don't need it or install it in a 2nd Profile. Then you can launch the 2nd Profile separately to use Firebug and not affect what you are doing in the 1st Profile,

How Can I Update More Than One Ipod on the Same Computer?

I've had my 30G Ipod since April 2006. For Christmas 2006, I bought my sister a 2G Ipod. I cannot figure out how to put songs on her Ipod as we both share the same computer and Itunes Library. I've already asked Ipod Corporate for help via their FAQ section regarding more than one Ipod operating with the same computer, but their advice (which told me to create a playlist small enough for her Ipod and checked as a shared playlist) did not work for me. I'd really appreciate any help with my problem. Owning an Ipod but being unable to listen to it, as I'm sure many people would agree, is quite annoying.

There are basically two ways of using multiple iPods on a computer and these involve:
a) Sharing a single iTunes library and user account.
b) Creating multiple user accounts and having separate libraries.

If you want to share the one library, you can set either or all of the iPods so that they only get updated with only certain playlists (you can update from more than one if you wish):

Choosing the update option "Sync Music - Selected playlists" allows you to create a playlist specifically for the iPod and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used some other time if you choose. Can I create more than one instance of a native library?

Hello all,
I am using Java to access a Win32 DLL with JNI. Everything is working fine, but I have several threads using the same instance of the native library because it is loaded "statically" in the Java class which uses it, and I suspect I am getting a bottle-neck at the native library.
Does anyone know if there is any way to load more than one "instance" of a native library?
The use of System.loadLibrary() would indicate not, and my (limited) knowledge of the Windows environment would tell me that a "shared" library only has on instance. (confirm anyone?)
I need to find a way around this bottle-neck issue... (and "no", before anyone suggests it, I can't ditch Windows!)

I am not sure about the behaviour of the dll as it's not mine. It's a COM DLL which I have "wrapped" in a standard windows DLL so I can expose the JNI methods. I assume because it's COM that it IS reentrant, but I am a bit of a novice when it comes to Windows and COM. I didn't install the COMponent either, it was installed as part of another application. (It's an antivirus COM dll that is part of an AV application)
