Can't load more than 6 tabs simultaneously

If I try to open a large group of tabs all at once, the first few will manage to load before stalling out. After that, none of the tabs will load any further. Some stall part way through; most stall without showing any more than a blank page.
If I start killing tabs, eventually they'll start loading. The threshold seems to be around 6. If there are 6 tabs simultaneously loading, it'll work. More than that, and I'm stuck.
This works FINE on my Mac at home. I use it to open groups of related tabs (comics, news, etc.) so I can go through them all in one sitting. Under windows, though, it's a complete wash.
This is pretty much a dealbreaker. Unless someone has some advice, I think I'm gonna have to go back to Chrome. :/

I'm at work. If it were a problem with my internet connection in any way, though, I'd have the same problem with other browsers. Most notably, this problem doesn't exist in Chrome, which is also rendering using Webkit.

On Yosemite it seems it's impossible to open more than 4 tabs simultaneously in any browser. Perhaps many won't see this as an issue but it's causing serious headaches when attempting to use various workflows.
Anyone know if this is a known bug and if so, where Apple are in resolving?

This is not a bug. I'm able to open 13 tabs at one go.
Boot into the Recovery volume (boot with the Command + R keys held down), select Disk Utility and repair both the disk permissions and disk. Reboot normally and try again.
If that doesn't help delete the com.apple.Safari.plist preference pane in your Home/Library/Preferences folder and the contents of the com.apple.Safari folder in your Home/Library/Caches folder, reboot and try again.

You an upload a spreadsheet with multiple tab and place tags on each tab and all will get converted.

If you always want to open with the tabs from last time, click the orange Firefox button then select Options to open the options window. Go to the General panel and change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

Can't load more than 2gig on 40 gig iPod. Inexplicably skips too.

I have a 40 gig click wheel iPod that I purchased new 1 1/2 years ago. I've been having 2 problems lately.
One, I can't put more than 2 gigs of music on it. When in iTunes, at about the 2.1 gig point, when I try to load anymore music the iPod will lock up. The only thing I can do is restore it and settle for only using 2 gig worth of the hard drive.
Two, the iPod will skip. Certain songs will skip every time I try to play them, others only sometimes.
I have already tried restoring it and the software is up to date.
If anyone has the solution I'd apreciate a response.

Sounds about like the same problem I am having. Mine locks up a lot when I try and upload songs to my ipod. Also I can't transfer files to my iPod sometimes, and when I can they are under a gig. Otherwise it locks up and I can't do anything with it. Some songs randomly skip and some lock the IpoD.

I have CS 5.5 running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. My Bridge is up to date (ver. 4.1.0.54). In the Content window I was wondering if you can open more than one tab?

No you can't, A Bridge window is limited to a max of 3 colomns and you can view only one 1 panel of its kind. You can have multiple windows open and have them set to customized workspaces.
If you want different folders showing in the content window you can create a workspace with a window sized half the screen. Choose the amount of colomns and the width and height of the by placing the cursor on the borders until you see a move sign. drag until your happy, change the order or place of panels by dragging the tab to a new location (1 blue line appearing means a place in between, 4 blue lines means nesting in panel as a tab. Change te order of tabs with dragging. When you are happy save it as a workspace and open a second window and choose the same custom workspace for it.
However I would choose to use the folder panel and drag and drop the files from content window to the wanted folder in the folder panel. But you can choose the way you want.

Can i predefine more than one tab as an administartor, so that they appear for all users?

I want to specify 2 tabs that should be visible to all users. (The user shouldn't have to log in and create a new tab). We can do this in iPS 6.0 but can we do it in iPS 3.0 sp3a?

1.More than one tab can be created by setting the maximum number of tabs in the Maximum Number of Tabs text field
2.To disable the creation of tabs by the users, is not possible in sunone portal server 3.0 sp3a. But the edit icon can be disabled by editing in the template file

I can't open more than 5 tabs at a time in Firefox

This is how I work:
I have 7 folders, each with 40 web pages as files.
From each previous previous version of the Mac OS, including Mavericks, I've been able to open one of the folders, "Select All" and open all 40 web page files in tabs at once in Firefox.
This way, I'm able to quickly go through 280 web pages very, very quickly.
It was great. It always worked perfectly.
Until I installed Yosemite.
Now, with Yosemite, if I attempt to open more than 5 tabs at the same time, I get this message repeated over and over:
Had I known this would be a problem, I wouldn't have upgraded.
Is there a way of getting around this? Other than going through the cumbersome process of opening tabs 5 at a time?
Oh, I am on a Macbook Pro. 2.5 GHz processor, 8 GB ram.

Don't use WAV! Some mac people won't be able to hear them. Almost everyone has an MP3 player, be it iPod, iTunes, QuickTime, or something else.
Don't test media in Dreamweaver. Test media in your web browser.
Not to beat a dead horse here but to reach the widest audience, you really should use MP3 and embed a Flash MP3 player on your page.

How can I double up the size of the top tab area, to be able to see more than 10 tabs simultaneously in one window? (windows vista, Ff 5.0)

ok, while you are on a site, right click and you choose to open something in a new tab. I like to have several tabs open, but on top of the window, firefox shows me only up to ten tabs, no matter if I have 20 tabs open and I have to press the right arrow, to see the rest of them. I would love to have that area doubled up and be able to watch all my tabs (sites) and simply with one click to move to that site. I am not sure if I gave you a clear view for what I wanna do. Can't load more than one photo to new 80 GB IPod

Hello All,
I have a new 80 GB IPod and have successfully loaded one low res jpg photo but that's all I can load. I select my named folder in the photo tab window and hit "apply" and nothing happens. I've tried dragging and dropping the photos (to the photo window and to my IPod icon in the ITunes window on the left ) and that doesn't work. All my photos are small, 72 dpi jpgs. I read the answers to another user with the same question but did not find a solution.

Can't load more than 24

hi- i have a class that loads external images one by one.
After one is complete, it begins loading the next till they are all
in. Works fine....next, after the first image is "ready", a timer
starts at intervals of 4000 mls. Each event of the timer, gives the
current image showing an alpha of 0, and then fades in the next. If
i load only 23 images or less, the whole thing is smooth. Add any
more, and it looses resources (or something)- it just becomes super
choppy. I am not sure where the resource problem is coming from. I
have checked all my enter_frames and they seem to be removing event
listeners well at the end of the necessary events....is there
something else i should be thinking about?

How can I save more than two tabs when closing Mozilla, so as when I open Mozilla the tabs appear again?

In the previous edition of Mozilla, when many tabs in one window were opened, at the closing of the window a message used to appear, asking whether you would like to save tabs in use or not, so as at the next opening of Mozilla, the saved tabs would appear again. How can this be achieved in Mozilla 4.

Firefox 4 automatically saves your tabs and windows when you exit to restore them just click the Firefox button>History menu>Restore Previous Session and it will open your previous tabs and windows in addition to your current tabs and windows.

I'm having difficulty visualizing what is wrong but try some basic steps first:
Launch Safari while holding a Shift key - this will start Safari with just your Home page
If you can see Reset Safari from the Safari menu, try that.
In addition to downloading and installing Safari again, try reapplying just the Snow Leopard Combo Update: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 There is no need to uninstall Safari first.
Lastly try deleting Safari's Preferences file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
