Can't load same apps onto daughters iPad, she has her own apple id?

I have an ipad with my own apple id and my daughter has an ipad mini> I set her up with her own apple id so i don't keep getting all her games onto mine. I've tried loading Lovefilm app for example which i have onto hers but it won't allow me. Any thoughts why this is happening?

Go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  Also, since you have IOS-7, read this.

  • HT3819 how can i share my lbrary wth my daughter who has her own apple id?

How can I share my music library with my daughter who has her own apple id?  She just got a new iphone and we set her up with her own id.  problem was all of her sosngs were on my library under my apple id.

If you want to share music, apps, books etc., you need to both use the same iTunes account. many people do this and still keep their own iCloud account so they keep their own mail, calendars, contacts etc.
If you want to share photos you will need to use the same iCloud account, even a secondary account won't help with photos..

  • Can I share my iPad apps with my wife--she has her own iTunes account

I just bought my wife an iPad.  Can I share some of my apps with her?  We have different accounts and use different computers to sync.

Well, it's real easy if you use the same computer with the same computer login.  Just connect and go!  iTunes will keep track of which iPad is which by name.  The only minor nuisance is app updates.  You want to get into the habit of always using the iPads.  iTunes requires that you log out and back in again but the iPads handle it automatically.  You just have to remember the PW for both accounts.
I can't help you with two computers.

  • My teenage daughter and i share an apple id on both of our iphones.  she now has an ipad with a her own apple id.  How can we change the apple id on her phoneand not loose any contacts or songs?

My teenage daughter and i share an apple id on both of our iphones (2 phones both are 5s) .  She now has an ipad with a her own apple id.  How can we change the apple id on her phone so that is the same as the ipad and not loose any contacts or songs?

Did you take a look at the new feature Apple - iOS 8 - Family Sharing ?
Apple - iCloud - Family Sharing
Up to now, songs bought from iTunes could only be played by the Apple ID that has been used to buy them.
If you set up Family Sharing, your daughter can also play your songs and use the same contact info as before.
If you don't want to do that, sync the contact info to the address book on your computer, and sync the info back, using iTunes:
Sync your iPhone, iPad and iPod with iTunes using USB
If the iPad already has her Apple ID and contact info on it, restore the phone from the latest iPad backup.

My daughter's iPad is backing up to my iCloud, which is how we set it up originally. Now she has her own iPhone with her own iCloud. How can I get her iPad to back up to her own iCloud?  Her iPad is taking up 3.4MB of my 5MB. I need my space back!

I suppose ya.  If she deletes my account from her iPad it won't affect my account, right?
Yes, that's correct, it won't affect your account or your devices in any way.
Use the delete account button in the iCloud settings.
Then enter her iCloud details in the new screen that appears and log in. She should then be returned to the screen above but with her Apple ID at the top, enable the services she wishes to use and then tap the storage & backup option and ensure that iCloud backup is turned on.

  • Can i give me wife Itunes content if she has a different Apple ID/Itunes acccount?

    Hi folks,
Just bought the wife an ipad and the iTunes App is installed on it.
My wife has her own Apple ID and itunes account.
Her itunes account has little in it to date.
Is it possible for her to download an artist/track/album from my library for her own account/library through the local network?
I know that obviously you can just share libraries with firends etc, but thought as its the one local/home network there may be a way for here to add content to her library from mine, without her using my apple ID, changing my library, deleting tracks, compromising etc....??
I simply want to give her some of my apple purchased/matched music.
    Thanks folks, appreciate your help
    Simon.

Simon,  Does she have her own iTunes library on a computer, to which she syncs her iPad?  If so, the best way is to give her a copy of the song files, either by using a flash drive or by the iTunes Home Sharing capability.  She can add it to her own library , and then sync her iPad.
To your question about sharing, song files purchased from the iTunes Store are restricted to "personal, non-commercial" use.  The term us generally understood to allow sharing between related members of the same household, which is why Apple provides Home Sharing across multiple libraries over the same local network.

    Hi Littlexjess,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  I would try restarting and resetting your iPad as a good initial troubleshooting step:

  • How can i split a library into two.. i no longer want to sync all of my wifes songs and apps.. i have a separate account, but want to take my music and apps from hers so i now have my own and she has her own.. so that syncing is easier

how can i split a library.. my wife and i used to share it, but now we have our own id's.. i want my music and apps off of hers so that i can sync my phone and only my music and apps will "come over"

  • My daughter and I listen to the same music with few exceptions. We currently are under my apple id if she gets her own apple id she no longer will be able to hook up to mine?

I am trying to figure out if I give her her own apple id does that mean we have to purchase the same songs in itunes so that she can have access to them? I mean, it seems silly since if I buy the songs, I should be able to share with my family. It is for everyones use but if I give her her own apple ID so she can buy her own music with her own password then that whole sharing thing is off? I don't want to give her full access to my account password... She is only 11. I don't want her to go on a shopping spree LOL! So how can I give her the freedom to download free apps etc but yet share the purchased items I have already? Will this icloud help with that. Can I share my music with someone else with a different apple ID? Help. Extremely confused. Thanks.

You can create a new account without giving credit card details by following the instructions on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
And she can then use that account for free items. If she redownloads an item on her iPad (and similarly on your Mac) from an account (either your existing account or a new one) then she may tie the iPad to that account for 90 days (so she won't be able to redownload items from the other account until those 90 days have completed) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
Also all content is tied to the account that downloaded it, so only your account will be able to download updates to the apps that were bought/downloaded by your account.
The apps will only automatically download on your phone if you have automatic downloads turned on in Settings > iTunes & App Store on it.

  • Can't load my iBook onto my iPad error

    Hello,
When I try to load my iBooks Author created iBook (.ibook) onto my iPad via iTunes on my PC, it says it cannot load it because my iPad needs the latest version of iBooks.  However, my iPad has the latest version of iBooks installed, and has been synced.
error: "was not copied to the iPad because it requires a newer version of iBooks."
Yesterday I was able to load the same book file onto my iPad via a Mac Air, and was also able to preview the iBook on the iPad via iBooks Author on the Mac Air. (However today I am not able to do either because my iPad is not appearing on my Mac Air when connected - but that is an entire different support communtiy issue I suppose).
And today I am able to open the book on the iPad in iBooks via a Dropbox file transfer.
This concerns me because - although the book has been verified to open and function on the iPad via iTunes on the Mac and via Dropbox - if a PC user purchases the book via their PC they are not able to load it to their iPad from their PC. In addition, I am not able to proof my book via a PC when the Mac fails to recognize and connect to the iPad.
    Thank you.

Yes, that is indeed an issue, and that is why I am asking for a solution to my problem!
As I wrote, the book tests fine on a Mac and the iPad, and functions and reads properly, and uploaded via iTunes Producer without error. The issue is with loading the .ibook file to the iPad via iTunes on the PC.
If I were to just use a Mac for testing and not have done the actions with the PC, all would appear fine and I would have never encountered the issue that I am having.
My issue is that I encountered the error using iTunes on the PC:
error: "book was not copied to the iPad because it requires a newer version of iBooks."
yet the iPad is loaded with the newest version of iBooks.  So my original question is, what's up with that?

  • I can't add anymore apps onto my iPad

I just plugged in my iPad to my iMac (OSX 10.9 Maverick operating system), which I do every few days, to add a new app. It was telling me there was not enough space to install a new app, so we proceeded to remove quite afew apps that were on the iPad already. The the iMac was telling me that it couldn't read the iPad and to restore iPad to factory settings. If I do that, then we would lose all information that is currently on the iPad, which is not good.

I Just got my iPad last week.  I downloaded some games that were on my iPhone and then I had an issue yesterday where the App Store would just pull up a blank white screen.  I restored my iPad and now it works but the search feature for iPhone games no longer works.  Is this b/c I updated to iOS 6??  I downloaded the games originally before the update but now that its updated, I can't search for those games again??  It's frustrating and tech support is clueless.
