Can't load yahoo and youtube website

I'm having problems loading youtube and yahoo websites, I'm using Mozilla Firefox and tried Safari too with same problems as well. Other websites are working fine. My internet connection is strong.  I'm using Imac desktop and tried loading youtube on Ipad Safari with same issues, however when I use Ipad youtube app, it was loading fine. I've tried updating my software, redownloading my Mozilla browser to no avail. Anyone able to help?

  • Can't access Yahoo and Google websites (such as gmail)? RESOLVED.

I had trouble with this for awhile. All of a sudden none of my browsers would go on any google site or yahoo. Adding some DNS servers to my airport preferences allowed me to access google, but still not gmail. I recently had a software update too which may have had something to do with it. FINALLY, after searching the web for awhile, I got a helpful tip that "PeerGuardian" may be the issue. After uninstalling it, I was able to access all the google and yahoo sites again.
    Hope this helps!
    Miko

I am having the same issue with my iMac. Recently I have not been able to access google or yahoo and a few other sites. My pc laptop is able to access all sites fine. I noticed the problem right after I ran "Peer Guardian" also. I will uninstall the software tonight and see if that fixes the issue. Thanks for the tip!!

  • Safari works but Firefox takes forever to load yahoo and youtube after switching to Time Warner.

Strange. Safari works just fine, but as soon as I switched to Time Warner, Firefox now takes almost a minute to load certain pages such as Yahoo, Youtube and google.
I have a Macbook Pro. I've rebooted the modem, Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox while cleaning out the the folders. I've tried safe mode but still the delay.
I changed my DNS server to the OPENDNS servers.
    Help.

    Hello,
Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], choose History, and then "Clear Recent History...".
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the "Clear Now" button.
Further information can be found in the [[Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox]] article.

    Thank you.

  • Facebook, Yahoo and YouTube load as HTML, pictures are blurry

Facebook, Yahoo and YouTube load as HTML (I think is what it's called?). There are no pictures, just links with little boxes underneath them. My profile picture on Google is blurry. Overall, Firefox is running slow and awkward. I tried re-installing it, but that did not fix it. Firefox help site, and other random websites are working just fine.
Please halp! I really don't like using IE.

  • My AppleTV will not play anything over Air Play.  Every other function works perfectly, and my Internet/router are working at top speed.  I can watch HD Netflix and YouTube but nothing via my iTunes library on my MacBook or iPad.  All software is updated.

Every other function works perfectly, and my Internet/router are working at top speed.  I can watch HD Netflix and YouTube but nothing via my iTunes library on my MacBook or iPad.  All software is updated.  The AppleTV will recognize that Air Play is trying to do it's thing, but with music files it sounds like they're skipping and video files just load endlessly.

I'm searching for an answer to almost the same exact problem, using almost the same exact hardware and software. Has an answer been found?
The files that I'm trying to burn come from eMusic, and they are formatted mp3. Recently, (after the iTunes update to 9.2.3?,) they would not drag and drop from iTunes into Toast. From several different discussions I've tried working around this by dragging to the desktop first then dragging and dropping to Toast, going to Toast from a programmer's homemade help window, " iToons," and today, after talking with Apple support, going directly to Toast from my eMusic folder. Alas, all recordings do not perform like they use to. Sometimes they play and sometimes not. There is one I managed, that is listenable, but sometimes I have to put it in my car stereo over and over again as it gets ejected with an error code, sometimes, finally it takes it... Some of the recordings on other disks I've burned are not clean - they have white-noise sounds creeping in... I use to have none of these problems. One time as I was listening to a CD that managed to play, and it just stopped playing... Is there an answer out there to get back to how it use to be? Thanks for you help.

  • After Mountain Lion update, i can't access Facebook and Hotmail websites

When I was with the OSX Lion, everything was fine.
After Mountain Lion update, i can't open Facebook and Hotmail websites.
I already reinstalled the Mountain Lion, but the error still happens. The only way to open these websites is with the private navigation.
    Please, help me.

From your Safari menu bar (top of your screen) click Safari > Preferernces then select the Privacy tab.
    Click:  Remove All Website Data
Quit then relaunch Safari to test.
If you still have problems with Facebook, go to the Facebook page then click the downward facing arrow to the right of Home then click Account Settings.
Select Security on the left then click Secure Browsing.
Select the box next to: Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) when possiblle then click Save Changes.

  • How i can down load movies and mucis to my new ipad

how i can down load movies and music to my new ipad?

You can use iTunes to sync them to your iPad.

  • Google, Yahoo, and Youtube won't load... all other sites do!

I have searched for hours to the solution but I haven't been able to find one! I don't know what else I can tell you besides that I have disabled (and then trashed) peerguardian, have tried disabling the mac firewall and Glimmer Blocker (adblocker), and even tried resetting my router.
What is weird that my ipod touch is able to access all these sites but Safari and Firefox can't. All of this just happened today.
    T.H.A.N.K. Y.O.U to everyone!

    got it on my configuration...
Issue identified: recent modifications to either how Google, Yahoo or YouTube DNS or Port are set-up or concurrently updated in the "Webspider and Bots" list from bluetack used in softwares such as Peerguardian, Safepeer or the like, resulted in the Mac not being able to recognize the server.
Solution: I've modified the filter so that it allows "standard port", and the problem has been resolved.
Note that I had a similar problem with a more obscure website, and the same solution applied though on a different IP list.
Note to Snow600: you need to "Disable filters" in Peerguardian first, and then you can quit, then uninstall it. This was the test I made to identify my issue. Just quitting and trashing Peerguardian didn't solve the issue at first, so I reinstalled, disabled filters, and it worked...

  • How can I get webpages and YouTube videos to load faster?

Webpages and YouTube videos load painfully slow and sometimes not at all on my iPad. I rarely have more than one signal bar lit. It hasn't always been this way. Nothing has changed with my wireless service. I tried clearing my history but that didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks!

Close other apps that are running.  Double click the home button, and (assuming you're running iOS 7) swipe up toward the top of the screen the images that appear over the app icons you see to close those apps.
Also close extra Safari tabs you may have open.

  • Firefox will not load https (and other websites)

    Hello everyone.
I'm running Firefox 18.0 on Windows 7 (64bit). Out of the blue, it started not loading certain webistes. It just spits out blank pages, or does not react when clicking login buttons. The web console will display a GET-message [for facebook: http/1.1. 302 Found 174ms], but hard reloads (CTRL+F5) do not help either.
So far, I have encountered problems with :
    - Facebook (blank page)
    - Amazon (will not react upon "login")
    - GMX (will not react upon "login")
    - Mozilla.org (will not let me download Firefox anew OR create a support account)
    - My university's library catalogue (will not react upon "login")
    - Any of my university's https://-pages
    - The Google search in the Firefox task bar.
    - EDIT: The e-mail confirmation link this board has send me will not load either.
They will load in Internet Explorer, so here's what I did:
    - EVERYTHING from the "Firefox can't load websites, but other browsers can" page, including
Removing and readding FF to my Firewall exceptions,
    changing proxy settings,
    Dis- and enabling IvP6 settings,
    DNS Prefetching,
Clearing cookies, history, browser cache and network cache,
    full system scan
    - Deleting and Reinstalling Firefox
    - Dis- and enabled SPDY in about:config
Please help. I'm at the end of my rope. Thanks.
EDIT: The websites work if I start FF in safe mode. Hope this leads to something.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
    #Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems]] article.

  • Can't open Google and Youtube

    I use Safari 7.0.5
Can't open google or youtube. It keeps saying I need to update flash player.
and I can't use chat on Facebook this one keeps saying This message failed to send. Click to send again.
Then I tried to reload page. It wouldn't be able to open Facebook at all.
I clear cache and reset safari. I reboot router and my mac book pro (version. 10.9.4)
I have no idea. Please help.

The update alerts are fake, and are intended to dupe you into installing malware or disclosing private information so that your identity can be stolen.
You might get the alerts when visiting a website that has been hacked. Don't visit the site again. If applicable, notify the site administrator of the problem, but don't send email to an unknown party.
If you get the alerts when visiting more than one well-known website, such as Google, YouTube, or Facebook, then they may be the result of an attack on your router that has caused you to get false results from looking up the addresses of Internet servers. Requests sent to those sites are redirected to a server controlled by the attacker. It's possible, but less likely, that the DNS server used by your ISP has been attacked, but you should assume that the router is at fault until proven otherwise.
The router's documentation should tell you how to reset it to the factory default state. Usually there's a pinhole switch somewhere in the back. It may be labeled "RESET." Insert the end of a straightened paper clip or a similar tool and press the button inside for perhaps 15 seconds, or as long as the instructions specify.
After resetting the router, quit the web browser and relaunch it while holding down the shift key. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. Do the equivalent if you use another browser. Open the Downloads folder and delete anything you don't recognize.
Then go through the router's initial setup procedure. I can't be specific, because it's different for every model. The key points are these:
    1. Don't allow the router to be administered from the WAN (Internet) port, if it has that option. Most do.
    2. Set a strong password to protect the router's settings: at least ten random upper- and lower-case letters and digits.  Don't use the default password or any other that could be guessed. Any password that you can remember is weak.
    3. If the router is wireless, or if you have a wireless access point on the network, use "WPA 2 Personal" security and set a different strong password to protect the network. If the router or access point doesn't support WPA 2, it's obsolete and must be replaced.
During the time the router was compromised, you were redirected to bogus websites. If you ever connected to a secure site and got a warning from your browser that the identity of the server could not be verified, and you dismissed that warning in order to log in, assume that your credentials for the site have been stolen and that the attacker has control of the account. This warning also applies to all websites on which you saw the fake update alerts.
Check the router manufacturer's website for a firmware update.
If you downloaded and installed what you thought was a software update, ask for instructions.

  • How can I find the serial number from CS4 for my mac? I remembered it being on the box, but now I can't find it, and they website I thought to have registered it to doesn't recognize the e-mail I would have used then I got it.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but the website recommend I ask here. I bought the CS4 when I bought my macbook pro in when I was in college. I remember there being 2 serial numbers, so I could install to one other computer. That macbook pro finally died, and now I have a new mac which I am trying to re-install the creative suite on, only I can't find the serial number.  The two stickers on the back of the CS4 box (which i thought were the serial numbers) don't look like that they're asking for, and the website listed on the inside of the box for me to register to doesn't recognize my e-mail (which hasn't changed since buying CS4).  Any idea where I could find the serial number?

  • I just discovered that I can't load photos and music to my iPhone.

I have loaded a bunch of photos of my recent trip to my new iPhone only to find out that I can't load music to the phone without erasing the photos. Is there a workaround  to this?

I loaded the photos through iTunes from iPhoto, the folder is on my computer in iPhotos. And still checked in iTunes.  Here is the exact message I get when I click on "Synch Music":
Are you sure you want to sync music? All existing content on the iPhone “Arthur Fenster’s iPhone” will be removed and replaced with songs and playlists from your iTunes library.
Maybe I am misinterpreting but it sounds like "existing content" means the photos, which can be put back on but then I suspect the music will be replaced.
