Can't locate card with serial number.

I bought this app prior to the recent upgrade. My old computer however didn't have enough juice to run it. Now that I have it, I went to install it and I can't find the card with the number. I'm sure Apple has a purchase record somewhere. I bought it in an Apple store. Is there a way to get my serial number or am I just out the $1100?

No. The SN will only help identify the iPod as yours IF it is recovered.

You need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD or the Mac App Store. The files to delete are the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications; the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support & the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user. Yvan Koenig has written an AppleScript that removes the files. You can find it on his box.com account in for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items > uninstall iWork '09.zip.

Is there something like serial number api or unique way to inquire serial number and its unique identifier and exact location of that serial number (on an Ipad)? (or is this sort of stuff only reserved for CIA and FBI and those sort of I agencies?) I would like to develop an app to do that. Am i day-dreaming or is it a real possibility with all the technology, gps, satellites and apps and possibilities we got? Any help from dev-gods would be much appreciated.
Explanation: my home was broken into and my Ipad stollen (along with so much more). I fancy that such an app would lead me to the criminals and generally curb on criminal activity of these appliances.

Actually I forgot to state that I know about mobile me- but did not conclude the process of setting it- just downloaded it without concluding the registration. So I am stuck on that front. But I was thinking more on the front of deeper side: some unique identifier (like serial or unique id of each device) that can be "pushed" to retrieve info on the location of the device. I would put the effort to learn and make the app myself. Just the question is: is there a method or function or api to locate devices by unique identifier ?

First, start your own thread instead of resurrecting a five month old one.
Second, you cannot track your iPhone via iMEI or Serial Number. Only if you had enabled Find My iPhone on your device before it was lost can you track it.
