Can't locate LR5 serial number to upgrade to LR6

Hi,
I just purchased the upgrade from LR5 to LR6. Upon installation, a message pops up telling me that it the serial number is correct for the one i just purchased but it cant find a previous version. It gives me the chance to enter manually. So i choose that I have LR5 and then it wants the serial number. I have searched the internet for 2 hours now trying to find a way of getting this number. Nothing is coming up on my adobe account under products or orders. I looked from within Lightroom itself but it only gives me half a number the rest is starred out. Can anybody please tell me how to find my serial number so i can just input it and download 6 and play!!!
Thanks

Search your computer, using your operating system's search feature, for a file whose name ends with .lrreg and your serial number is in there.
I feel compelled to point out that you should be storing your serial numbers somewhere (not just Lightroom but for ALL of your purchased software). This can be on a piece of paper, or even better yet in a text file stored in the cloud so you can never lose them.

JackDavison I branched this topic to a new discussion.  You should be able to locate your serial number, if registered, under your account on Adobe.com.  You can find directions on how to accomplish this at http://forums.adobe.com/message/3987968#3987968.

Color Finesse 2 is the old 32-bit version of the plug-in, so would be for After Effects CS4 or earlier.
There is information here on how to locate your serial number. But the tl;dr version for most people is: it's on a sticker on the DVD case.

  • I have an active CS6 account and can't find my serial number to upgrade to CC, ideas?

This is a somewhat complex issue. I use CS6 daily and made the move to upgrade to CC (due to a gig) and couldn't find my serial number. I ended up paying for AECC to complete the job, but I'm hoping that the super cool, rad, and awesome people at Adobe might have my serial number lying around and be willing to modify my current CC to include the rest of my suite at the proper upgrade price.

  • How can I locate my serial number for the Student and Teacher Edition

All I am trying to do right now is to obtain the serial number for my Student and Teacher (Academic) Edition <removed by moderator>, but I wanted to use my personal (home) e-mail address since this purchase is to be installed on my home computer.  The validation process seems to require my work e-mail address or a work id with embossed date (ours had no date and my id is at work).  The e-mail prompt indicates that all e-mail correspondence will go to the address I enter so if there is e-mail regarding this installation, on my home computer at my home e-mail address, any such e-mail instructions would then go to my work e-mail address.  So how do I obtain my serial number?

I have removed your coupon/product code as this is a public forum.  I would recommend reviewing the I have a Student and Teacher edition product section of Find a serial number.

  • Re: Where can I find the serial number on my Adobe product box?

I just bought a new mac because my old one quit working.  In 2010 or 2011 I purchased ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE 5 DESIGN PREMIUM.  I have a multitude of problems that I do not know the answer to:
    1) I do not know the serial number that is associated with my cds.  I do have the 3 CDs, case, and product code.
    2) I do not know my Apple ID or email associated with my product.  I assume it was my school email, but I know longer have access to that email, because I have graduated.
    3) I do not have a cd drive on my new computer, so I need access to a downloadable version.
Please help!  I do not want to purchase all these programs again, just because I can't figure this out!
    Thanks,
    EllenG

The following steps will help locate your software for download:
         1. Go to Adobe.com.
         2. Click Sign In (in the upper right corner).
         3. Enter your Adobe ID and password, and then click Sign In.
         4. Click My Orders and then Order History.
         5. Locate the order number, and click the Download link in the Downloads column.
Start the download by choosing one of the following:
Click Download and follow the onscreen instructions.
Click Akamai Download Manager and follow the onscreen instructions.
If you prefer downloading directly in a browser, click Alternate Download Method. Then click the .7z and .exe files (Windows) or the .dmg file (Mac OS) to download the software to your computer.
You can usually locate the serial number on the back of the CD or DVD case.  If you have an envelope for your software then it may be located on the envelope instead.

The serial number was included in the box ARD came in; the Apple Store will not have a record of it. If you've lost the serial number, you'll need to purchase a new copy of ARD, probably a good idea anyway since 2.2 won't run on any version of Mac OS X since, if memory serves, 10.4. It's a lot cheaper through the Mac App Store than it was back when you first purchased.

  • Help Locating my serial number for Final Cut Studio?

Can anyone help me in Locating a serial number for my Final Cut Studio??-- I dont know where the booklet "installing your software" is --i have all other disks and books-- i need to upgrade from FCP5.1 to 6.2

The booklet is the only place where you can find the serial #.
There is a file on your computer, but it is encrypted.
You might be able to get the number from the splash screen (Final Cut Pro > About Final Cut Pro) but I have heard that it is not displayed in full in some releases. It certainly displays in full on the FCP 7 splash screen.
