Can't locate music imported from CD
I have re-installed iTunes on my new HP laptop and was able t retrieve most of my library from the cloud. I imported music from a CD but now cannot find it. Formerly on my desktop, a separate page would pop up and show the songs as they were being uploaded. Suggestions?????

No-that's the crazy thing. Before, when working on my desktop system, a new page would pop and show the individual songs as they were being loaded. When I put the CD in the tray and push it in, I can hear the CD spinning but nothing shows on the screen.
John,
That doesn't sound like the tracks are getting lost. That sounds like they are not getting imported at all. Check this document for tips:

Can't locate photos imported from iPhone to iPhoto
I imported photos from iPhone to iPhoto. I can see the photos in iPhoto but I can't locate the actual files in Finder. Where are they? All the file names begin with "IMG_" but searching on that produces no results. Thanks.
Why do you want to locate the files via the Finder? With iPhoto you don't need to. See these user tips:

Exporting From iPhoto
One never needs to access the original files via the Finder with iPhoto. That's old school, Windows, thinking.

If Airplay is avaialble on your iPod Touch and it should be, and your AE is connected to a stereo system or to some speakers, yes.

Can I play music wirelessly from my Imac to my hi fi?
Can I play music wirelessly from my Imac to my hi fi?
ChrisYes, AUX in jack. Radio shack may be required to make sure your connectors are compatible. For example, you may need a standard RCA splitter to mini-RCA. The mini-RCA (3.5mm) is for the airport express while the dual (red-black) for your AUX in. Hard to say without seeing the connectors.
Itunes on Mac sends music to airport express (you select it in iTunes), the airport express sends the music out via the mini-RCA, your CD player auxillary input converts the RCA signal to sound. -

I have too much music on my i phone( purchased): This synchronises with my computer and i pad which has larger storage facility: How can I delete music only from my i phone and retain it on my computer and ipad?
On the iPhone, go to Settings > General > Usage > Music (in the Storage Section) > Tap Edit > Tap the Red Circle next to All Music > Tap Delete.

Can i play music directly from time capsule?
can I play music accessed from time capsule so that I don't have to use up room on my computer?
If you want to move your itunes library to the TC we recommend you don't.. the TC is designed as a backup target for Time Machine.. it might appear vaguely like a NAS but it has zero ability to backup files.. and fails with surprising frequency. and is slow.. and what happens when you corrupt your itunes library.
If you just want to put individual files and play from there.. well neither is it a media player. Basically TC fails at anything and everything except being a TM backup target. -

How can I retrieve music tracks from the cloud?
I deleted music from my library expecting it to now be available in the cloud.
When I search in purchased items in iTunes and click on the item, it tells me that the original file is no longer available.
I am not expecting the file to be available just the music track/album etc.

IPhone won't play music imported from CDs or mp3s not downloaded from itunes
When I first downloaded iOS 7, all of the music I had in my iTunes synched to my iPhone, but now new CDs I just imported and previous songs I imported from CDs won't synch (I've tried over wifi and usb). When I click on songs on my phone that were from CDs, they look as if they are going to play and then skip immediately. Mp3s I downloaded do the same thing. Mind you, everything was working fine until updating to iOS 7.0.4. I've been looking around the forums and have found that problems like this are relatively common and it's a shame Apple hasn't done anything to fix it.
When my phone is hooked up and I click on "on this iPhone", it says the music from CDs and mp3s is on, but the titles come up gray with these litte circle things next to them
Just checking now, I noticed some songs I bought from iTunes are doing the same thing.
I tried manually synching, but when I click to drag the songs into my phone, the section that has music, movies, etc. just flashes and nothing happens. I know something is wrong because I just put a ringtone onto my phone the same way.
Oh, I also noticed that when my iPhone is synching and the steps go through at the top it skips steps 3, 4, and sometimes 5 (The Apple symbol pops up instead then goes straight to 6 and 7) so I know it's not recognizing the fact I put a bunch of new music in iTunes. Also, when I look at the bar at the bottom that shows how much memory is on my phone, this shows up:
and that Documents and Data thing was not there before.
Can someone please give me ideas on how I can stop this rediculousness without buying a new phone?Did you already try the suggestions mentioned in this article?

Can I restore music files from my old Nano onto my PC?
My old Nano contains a few hundred songs that used to be on my laptop's hard drive but for an unknown reason are now gone. Is there a way that I can transfer these files back onto my hard drive so iTunes can read them?
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
