Can't locate my phone

I have downloaded the blackberry protect app. But the 'locate phone' service does not locate my phone. What can I do?

Did you have the find my device switch enabled in your iCloud Account's settings on the device?
If you did, there are a number of reasons it may not be found. It must be powered on and connected to a data network (cellular or wif) for it and Apple's Servers to communicate. If the battery has run down, or if someone has simply turned it off, it will not be found. If someone has restored it as new, then your iCloud account and its settings have been wiped from the device, and it will not be found.
If it cannot be found, then there really is nothing you or anyone else can do, sorry.

You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.
If the device is wiped by you or another, you may not be able to locate the device (although some have reported they can)

I believe that the fact that you were able to put the phone into Lost Mode indicates that you did have Find My iPhone setup (turned on). You can track it on a computer. Open http://www.icloud.com, login with your Apple ID and select Find my iPhone

How can I get the iPhone icon to show on the iTunes screen. I want to check some music for loading into the phone, can't locate the phone icon.

Plug the cable into the iPhone and into a USB port directly on your computer, not a USB hub. Also make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes.

You do need an app for printing with Bluetooth on your Iphone. The app store
will assist you for an app that is best suited for your needs.

You can't locate a phone which is off because it needs to be able to transmit its location data to the network, and it has to be on to do that (and able to connect to a network).

The only way to locate your daughters stolen phone is through Apple's Find My Phone service. However, this requires that Find My Phone be turned on/activated BEFORE the phone were lost or stolen. You'd then login to iCloud.com & attempt to locate the phone. If Find My Phone was not setup/turned on before the phone were lost/stolen, there is no way to locate it. No carrier anywhere in the world will track lost/stolen phones.
Report the loss to the police and your carrier. Change every password ever used on the phone: email, iTunes, etc.

I'm sorry to hear about your phone! I understand the need for an active device. You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date. Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off. If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made. If you didn't set up Find My iPhone in the iCloud settings, then you can't. Notify the police and change the password to your Apple ID and any other online services you used from that iPhone, just as a precaution.

Yes, I filed police report, but there is nothing they can do until I get back to them on the tracking. It's been offline. I'm sure the whoever took it can find a way around breaking in the ipad..i really was hoping to get my pictures and videos of my kids back

The pic sync is one way - computer to iPhone.
You should be storing all of your photos on your computer. Jut sync them to your iPhone.

If your phone is lost and is shown as being offline, there isn't anything you can do to force it to go online. If it appears in the device list in Find My iPhone, you could issue a "Lost Mode" command to lock it. This would only be executed when it goes back online again, if ever. Should be, yes. Its not in gallery or wallpaper settings. It was a photo taken off the original phone, that one was replaced, when the current one arrived the photo was preset as wallpaper on it and can't find it anywhere. I am in the middle of an upgrade, but don't want to lose the photo, me and my son prior to his deployment to Afghanistan.
