Can't lock MacBook on iCloud website

Hi,
I recenlty tested the macbook remote locking functionality.
I've unlocked the mac (took me an hour and lots of sweating by the way).
The problem is : now i can't use the remote locking functionality anymore because it's greyed out on the website
How do i tell icloud.com that my macbook is OK now ?

Never mind. Today, I got another email from Apple pointing me to another video on their website. I said what the heck and tried it. This time, I got audio but no video. But I recalled someone else posting the same problem so found it and someone suggested disabling the DivX extension in Safari preferences. It worked! Hopefully that doesn't cause other issues.
I don't know about the rest of you but I was forced by Apple to upgrade to Leopard if I wanted to sync with me.com. Ever since, I've had consistent problems with almost everything. It's almost like I'm back using a PC with all the hang ups and program failure message I get on a daily basis. Almost but not quite.

Apps and Music are not from iCloud. Are from iTunes and App Store.
You can change this from: Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Sign out and sign in with new ID, but you will have to pay again to download apps that you already have in your old account. Or leave it as it is to share purchases with your son.

What exactly can you do on the iCloud Website?

Instead of worring about iCloud pushing changes all of my divices could I just input changes to my calendar, contacts, or reminders directly on the website? The reason I ask is that both my work and home computers would require substantial upgrading.

Yes you can but it will not go to your devices unless you set them up.

What is iCloud, and did you ask Apple about their "I" product? (The Cloud is not iCloud, whatever that may be)

Locked my macbook from iCloud

My kid was playing with my computer, so I locked my macbook from iCloud and now I can't unlock it, it won't accept my 4 digit code. I can't undo it from iCloud, there is no option. I have tried every code I imagine, but somehow I seem to have forgotten the chosen 4 digit code.
What should I do? It shows up in iCloud as locked. What happens if I remove it from iCloud, I am afraid that will worsen things. I am the owner of the macbook and I have the recepit and it is set up with my iCloud account.
I am really surprised there is no option to undo it, considering the fact that it's matched to my iCloud account. I have googled but found no info.

I actually managed to find the 4 digit pass code by trial and error. In the process I found a really interesting bug that bypasses the time restriction. A 4 digit code means 10000 combinations. After a few trials it locks you out for 1 minute and after a few more for 5 minutes, but I found a very easy way to bypass the restriction and keep guessing. Took me some time, but finally I found the PIN. Is there a reward from apple for finding critical bugs?

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

When I open my email on my home computer, I can't receive or send email that is @mac based. I get a message that my passwork is invalid. When I go to the iCloud website, my password works just fine. Any clues?

Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

You can't sync contacts on your Mac with iCloud running Snow Leopard (10.6.8). That requires Lion (10.7.5) or higher. If your system can't run this, you'll have to go to turn of contact syncing with iCloud and either start syncing them with iTunes, or use an alternative service such as a Google contacts. You could, for example, go to Settings>iCloud on your phone, turn contacts off, choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted, then set up a Gmail account and sync them as explained here: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/2753077?hl=en.

You can't back up a computer to iCloud.
You can use any back up software, you should always back up to a different drive.

I have no issues logging into iCloud account from my MacBook or accessing my account from my iPhone.
But anytime I try to log into the iCloud website from my work PC laptop, it tells me my Apple ID or password are incorrect. I try logging in with both address endings, @mac and @me and nothing.

Sorry, but if you did not set up Find My iPhone, then unless your iPhone is set up with a company Microsoft Exchange server or other mobile device management system, there is no way to wipe the iPhone of its data, though if you had a screen lock in it, the thieves/finder will probably restore it and wipe the data anyway. There is no way to lock the iPhone permanently to prevent someone from using your iPhone, though you can report the loss to your cell carrier and they may be able to blacklist it from connecting to their network.

I understand the need for all of your calendars to be up to date across all of your devices and how frustrating it can be when they are not syncing as you would expect. In this situation I would suggest reading over and using the attached article for troubleshooting.

Not sure what you've tried so far to connect. But, make sure you have an Internet connection and log into iCloud with your Apple ID/password from System Preferences/iCloud.
If the OS X you're running is prior to 10.7, you won't be able to use iCloud as this feature was added to OS X beginning with OS X Lion (10.7).
