Can't log in with Safari

HI there
I'm currently logged in with Firefox, which recognises my log-in information perfectly.
But Safari constantly refuses to accept the same information.
HOw can I fix this
TIA

well, I just downloaded the latest version of Firefox (the version you mentioned) and discovered that it won't recognise my APple DIscussions password either !!!!
And it also refuses to recognise my Xmarks password !
Luckily I still had the earlier version of FF so here I am back in here.
The story seems to be that I can't get Safari to recognise my login and the new version of FF won't recognise it either.
So I'm not going to trash the Apple cookies I have saved in Firefox or I'll probably find myself locked out of APple discussions forever and unable to get back in again because (Catch 22) to get in, if your password isn't recognised you have to create a new one but if the new one isn't recognised.....goodbye. BEcause Apple will continue to recognise my email address and will think I already have an account, and will refuse to let me create a completely new one.
I know this because that's what's happening. Every time I try to create a new password because both Safari and the new version of FIrefox refuse to recognise the one that *works in this slightly old version of Firefox* the new password isn't accepted.
I hope someone comes up with a solution for this. It seems to be a system thing not specific to Safari.
Now someone is going to tell me to trash all my remembered passwords please don't. If I Iose the password that works in this old Firefox, I'll suddenly disappear and you'll wonder "where did that guy go?"
Apple, please find a way for people to create a completely new account when their password is no longer recognised but their email address is recognised. At the moment if your password is not recognised you can't create a new account with that email address. And if every new password you create is also not recognised, you're sunk.
The only other option would be to set up a new email account somewhere and create a new ID with it. Tedious....
