Can't Log In - Works On Other Account

I cannot log into the Mac App Store. This is not the regular issues that other users are having where the dialog box to enter user name and password appear behind the App Store application. I AM able to click on "Sign In" and enter my user name and password, however after that, nothing happens.
- I am able to sign into another account in the Mac App Store on the same computer (same account)
- I am able to create a test user account on the same computer and log into the App Store with the same information
It's just my MAIN account is unable to do this. I am not running FruitMenu or APE and just had a fresh install of 10.6.6.
I am out of ideas... thanks for your potential help.

Hi,
Quit the MAS if it's open.
Launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / View My Account then click Edit Payment Information.
Make sure your credit card info is correct and the Security code is available then click Done.
Quit iTunes then relaunch the MAS. See if that makes a difference.
If not, relaunch iTunes. From the menu bar again click iTunes / Preferences then select the Advanced tab. Click: Reset warnings and reset cache.
Restart your Mac. Try the MAS again.

Can't log in to any other user account except admin

I have one computer (out of a lab full of 36 computers) that has a problem creating additional accounts beyond the first.
I can set up multiple other accounts (either admin, standard, or managed accounts), but I can't log in to any other accounts except the admin account. Here's what I do:
1. When the computer was unpacked I set up the admin user, and automatic login of the admin user using the usual Apple first run setup windows.
2. In System Preferences -> Accounts, I click the lock and enter my admin password so I can make other accounts. This works fine.
3. I create an account and give it a password (I've tried blank passwords too).
3a. The system warns me that automatic login is turned on (set to the admin user currently). I click the "Keep Automatic Login" button. The other account is now created and all looks well; I can see it's home folder in the Users folder.
4. I switch to the Login Options view, and choose that other account from the automatic login popup menu.
4a. The system prompts me for the account password. This is where the problem happens.
4b. On 35 of the computers, this works fine. One 1 computer, the system warns me that "You did not enter the correct password for your user account." I can click OK there, but nothing I enter for the password works.
I also tried logging out from the admin user, and I simply can not log in to any other account. I've tried one letter passwords; I've tried blank passwords; I've tried variations on account names; I've tried all-caps; I've tried all-lowercase. I can log in to the admin account with no problems; I can set up as many other accounts as I like, but I can't use any of them.
Any ideas? Should I just wipe the hard drive and re-install? That's certainly a viable option, but it's baffling me why it's only this one out of 36 computers having the problem.

Smells like a corrupted OS installation. Two options. Erase & Install or hook it up to a good machine, via target disk mode, and clone the booted machine, using something like Carbon Copy Cloner, SuperDuper!, etc., after erasing and reformatting the calcitrant machine, and see if that fixes things.

Every time I try to enter my data in on the control panel I get an error that says; "Your MobileMe member name or password may be invalid. Please enter a different name or password." I know the name and password is correct because I can log in via the Web.

Apple discontinued it on June 30, 2012. Many of its services are now provided by iCloud; anything which connects specifically to MobileMe won't work.

I can't log on to my blogger account

When using Firefox, I can log on to my google mail, but can't log on to my Blogger account. It works fine on Chrome.
When I go to any blog on blogger, the top bar doesn't show the sign in option, it shows part of the "create a blog" page instead.
As I use Firefox for blogging, this is terribly inconvenient.
I even changed back to an earlier version of Firefox as Firefox 4 is completely useless and unstable, but it didn't solve the problem.
If Firefox continues to have so many problems, I would have to change my opinion about it and rate it as hopeless as Internet Explorer...

BTW, the forum seems to have only questions, but no answers. I want my questions answered by Firefox, not read that other people are having the same problem. That doesn't help.

I can't log into my apple ID account

I can't log into my apple ID account. every time I try, I receive the message: We could not complete your itunes store request. The itunes store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.

I am also experiencing this issue. I signed out to attempt fixing a sync problem, and now I can't sign back in. I receive the same message. I thought it might be related to work vs home network connections, so I tried the following:
disconnected all network connections/reconnecting
deleted wireless connection (only used Ethernet)
cleared the DNS cache: sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
Was still not able to sign in. Anyone have any other ideas to offer?

ICal can't log in to your "MobileMe" account

iCal can’t log in to your “MobileMe” account because your password may be incorrect. Keep getting this error. Have repeatedly checked settings. Password is correct. Want this to stop. Very distracting.

I was having this exact same problem. Everything was working fine before updating to iCloud.
I quit iCal and restarted and everything seems to be ok!

I can't log in to my itunes account, and it does not give me any errors.

I can't log in to my itunes account. When I try, the login screen disappears for a moment. It then pops up requesting I log in. It does not include any error messages.

Can't log in to me BBTalk Account, can't reset pas...

I seem to have come a bit unstuck, I can't log in to my BBTalk account but also can't reset the password?
It's more than possible that I have forgotten the password, unfortunately the password reset page won't accept my entry. It claims that either the number entered or the email address entered is invalid.
I've cycled through every email address I've ever owned and not one of them seems to be valid. The phone number is definitely valid (given that I can ring it ;-))
Any of the mods able to shed light on why?

Account is still set up against the account number for my old house (why?) so the email address was one I'd completely forgotten about.
In other news: there seems to be a BBTalk outage. DNS is resolving but none of the addresses in the A records are responding.

Where are you trying to log in? You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - can you log in there?
Before you change your ID you should log out of the iTunes Store and on any devices which are logged into iCloud. Then once you've changed it you can log back in with the new ID. (Your iCloud synced data will disappear from the device when you do this but will reappear when you sign back in - give it time).
If you are unable to sign into http://appleid.apple.com you will need to contact Support. Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com . Click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'. After upgrading to Firefox 4, I can't log in into my bank account.

After upgrading to 4.x I can no longer log into my TD Bank online account. I'm working with differente Mac computers, all intel based, with different specs. None of them can log in, except the only one which still uses Firefox 3.
The page loads well, but when being prompted to wrote my card's number and my pass, after clickin' the "submit" button, firefox immediately jumps back to any previous page I loaded before the bank's page, so I've never have a chance to log in. All other browsers does not have this same problem (I'm also using Opera, IE and Safari), and different types of Macs, desktops an laps, all with the same result.

From yesterday i am unable to access log in tabs when I try to log on to my internet banking. Infact the gmail tab on firefox (version 7) main page can't be accessed. Every thing was ok few days ago. I think the problem is with firefox 7 update. Other browsers work ok.
This problem really needs to be resolved by firefox urgently

Hi jenaS, sorry to hear that you're havig an issue after refresh of the system, if ur logged in using a live account it shouldnt change or remove the pin, if you are usin a local account the issue there might be in the profile on the system it might be corrupted, do you have a screen shot of the issue?

I can't log out of my guest account because DLconnectMonitor won't turn off. How do I turn it off?

I am planning on lending one of my Mac products to a friend so she can watch our Easter service on FaceTime. In preparation for this, I logged into the guest account and found the administrator had to give permission for the guest to use FaceTime and DLconnectMonitor. It looked like this had to be done for the guest account to work at all, so I gave permission. When I went to log out of the guest account, I couldn't becauseDLconnectMonitor would not turn off. I can't even find it on my computer. Does anybody know how I can turn it off and log out of my guest account?

Any third-party software that doesn't install by drag-and-drop into the Applications folder, and uninstall by drag-and-drop to the Trash, is a system modification.
Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
Here are some general guidelines. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickYourMac.” First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickyourmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the Web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, contact the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickYourMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickYourMac.” If not, open “BrickYourMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
You may have to log out or reboot in order to complete an uninstallation.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase your boot volume and perform a clean reinstallation of OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software.

YouTube App - Can't log in with my Google Account

I have a problem, since i have changed my google account I can connect no more to the YouTube service with the pre-installed app on my iPhone 4s but i can correctly log in using the website.
The error is "Username or Password aren't correct"
What's happened? What can I do?

Last night I performed the update for the new Apple TV OS. When I went to the Youtube App, it miraculously worked... after weeks of getting the error message "Cannot connect to youtube".
So whoop!

I can't log in to my EE account

Been having this problem ever since T-mobile was absorded by EE. I used to have a T-mobile contract and had no problem accessing my account. When it went over to EE, it kept saying it didn't recognise my number, but if I went to register it would say the number was already registered.Recently changed to an EE Pay Monthly SIM and had my number transfered over. Still can't access my account. For some reason the site keeps trying to get me to log in as a T-mobile customers and I don't know if this is where the problem is. There is no way to stop it from doing this! I have contacted EE several times about this issue, being told different possible explinations or that they simply don't know what is wrong. Been very disapointed with the lack of solutions and the mass of problems I have had with EE overall.
