Can't log into game center, Can't log into game center
My son has updated his game center and now it won't let him sign back in - when he puts in his apple id it asks him to create a new account and when he adds his nickname it says it's already associated with another account - this is driving me crazy can someone please help or he'll lose all his dragon vale progress - thank you
I had this problem when I recently upgraded my iPhone to iOS6. I had somehow ended up with two AppleIDs, and the one that I hadn't been using previously was asking for a nickname. I finally figured out that I was using the wrong account, changed it in the iTunes store settings for my phone (I assume there's an equivalent with the touch?) and was then able to access the Game Center and see all my dragons again. I managed NOT to have my blood pressure shoot through the roof at the loss of my little pixels.

I tried logging into my account but now all that you can see in Settings>Game Center is the loading sign under a bar that has my apple id inside it.

First, try force closing the Game Center app:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

And if that doesn't work, I would reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

And if that doesn't resolve the issue then I would backup the device to iTunes and restore it. Just be cautious and back up first, since restoring deletes all content and settings:

Can't log into Game Center on Macbook Pro
I recently updated my computer to Mountain Lion. So today i tried to log into my Game Center account and its saying that its not the right information. Tried loging in on my iPod and it worked perfectly! I used the same id and password i used to log onto here.
I already tried:
- opening the chess application from the Launchpad and signing into Game Center from there.
- changing my password
- turning my wi-fi off and then back on.
PLEASE HELP !
by the way, you can't see my e-mail but its there !Update:
We logged in to the Admin account, changed the password on my user account, which has admin priveledges, and we still can't log in.
This happened in Snow Leopard before we upgraded it to Lion, so I don't think that's the cause.
We tried creating a new user account and it's happening on that account too. Both the IT guy and I are baffled. What could possibly cause OSX to do this to user accounts?
I joked and wondered if we should test the keyboard itself. -

Where are you trying to log in? You should be able to change your ID at http://appleid.apple.com - can you log in there?
Before you change your ID you should log out of the iTunes Store and on any devices which are logged into iCloud. Then once you've changed it you can log back in with the new ID. (Your iCloud synced data will disappear from the device when you do this but will reappear when you sign back in - give it time).
If you are unable to sign into http://appleid.apple.com you will need to contact Support. Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com . Click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'. Can't log into Game Center after installing Mavericks
I haven't been able to log into Game Center ever since I installed Mavericks.
When I try to open it through Spotlight, I get a "Game Center quit unexpectedly" message.
When I open it directly through the Apps folder, it opens fine, but I get this message when I try to log in:
Couldn’t communicate with a helper application.
Try your operation again. If that fails, quit and relaunch the application and try again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!Can anyone help please I have been able to download apps send and receive emails.. Just not log into Game Center has anyone got any idea what is going on please. Both Game Center accounts are on the same devise but that has been working up until now.....

I Go to settings / Game Center then type in my pass word and the next window comes up with all my info, but it won't let me press done to confirm.

How can I change the account logged into game center?
I've been using my friend's account on my ipad to download apps. I just recently made my own apple Id and it works fine with downloading apps. However, when I go to game center it shows her account logged in. I log her out and try to log in with my own apple I'd, but when I touch the sign in button with my id and password entered it comes at me with a popup with her apple Id asking for a password. There's no feat I can change the I'd in this window, my only options are cancel and sign in or whatever and it happens every time I try to log in no matter what I put in the id and password boxes in the game center window. Help?
Open the Game Center app.
Choose "Me" at bottom.
Scroll down
Tap "Account: [youremail]@[youremailprovider.com]
Tap "Sign out."
Then sign in with whatever Apple ID you like. -
I installed Mountain Lion on two computers today. With one of them, I was able to enter my login credentials with no problem. But, on the other computer, the two fields are not clickable. My email address is prepopulated in the top field, but I can't click on it or make the password field active. Has anyone else experienced this?

Can't log into Game Center and can't play certain games any more
So I was trying to log into Game Center, and the system gives me this:
To make things worst, now whenever I try to play Battle Supremacy, the app just keeps trying to switch to Game Center, which is already a dead end, and this is getting SOOOOOOO annoying. Help, please?Do a backup.
Quit the application.
In Finder hold down the option/alt key while selecting the Go menu item. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.gamecenter.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart the computer, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you want to make your user library permanently visible, run the below command in Applications/Utilities/Terminal.
chflags nohidden ~/Library/
You will need to do that after any updates. -
Can't log into Game Center. Says my Apple ID is already in use?????
Okay, I just realized that when I made an account on Game Center, I typed in the wrong e-mail address and apple ID. Now when I go to try and change it, it says my Apple ID is already in use by another. I do not see how that is possible as my ID is unique to me (e-mail address) and I use it on Apple.com, iTunes, ect. and it works just fine. I changed my Apple ID when I got my iPhone. I also have an iPod touch, but the Game Center on my iPod was under a different e-mail and old ID that I forgot about. I never used game center on my iPod except for a select few times.
How do I fix this???????Nevermind. I figured it out. I had to log out and sign in with the ID I wanted to actually use. Lost my scoring, but still have the games and none of the progress was erased. So yay!

It sounds to me like your keyboard has been damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced. Can you try an external keyboard?
