Can't log into Game Center on Macbook Pro

I recently updated my computer to Mountain Lion. So today i tried to log into my Game Center account and its saying that its not the right information. Tried loging in on my iPod and it worked perfectly! I used the same id and password i used to log onto here.
I already tried:
- opening the chess application from the Launchpad and signing into Game Center from there.
- changing my password
- turning my wi-fi off and then back on.
PLEASE HELP !
by the way, you can't see my e-mail but its there !

Update:
We logged in to the Admin account, changed the password on my user account, which has admin priveledges, and we still can't log in.
This happened in Snow Leopard before we upgraded it to Lion, so I don't think that's the cause.
We tried creating a new user account and it's happening on that account too. Both the IT guy and I are baffled. What could possibly cause OSX to do this to user accounts?
I joked and wondered if we should test the keyboard itself.

These accounts are for my kids and originally were setup with parental controls and time constraints. Thinking this was the problem I removed the time constraints, removed the parental controls, deleted and re-added them, and made them standard users. I have reinstalled, used disk utility to repair permissions, and made them admins. Any help is appreciated.

Users don't need Apple ID's. That's not the issue. Have you tried repairing permissions their accounts?

You’ll need to reboot to perform this, and then use the same resetpassword utility that is used to change passwords in Lion, but instead choosing a hidden option.
When you use the Disk Utility app and Repair Permissions — it doesn’t actually repair the permission settings on folders and files in your Home folder where your documents and personal applications reside.
In Lion, there is an additional Repair Permissions application utility hidden away. This tool is located inside boot Repair Utilities. Here’s how to access it.
Restart Lion and hold down the Command and R keys. You will boot into the Repair Utilities screen. On top, in the Menu Bar click the Utilities item then select Terminal.
In the Terminal window, type resetpassword and hit Return.
The Password reset utility launches, but you’re not going to reset the password. Instead, click on the icon for your Mac’s hard drive at the top. From the drop-down below it, select the user account where you are having issues.
At the bottom of the window, you’ll see an area labeled ‘Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs’. Click the Reset button there.
The reset process takes a couple of minutes. When it’s done, quit the programs you’ve opened and restart your Mac. Notice that ‘Spotlight’ starts re-indexing immediately.

Can't log into Game Center after installing Mavericks

I haven't been able to log into Game Center ever since I installed Mavericks.
When I try to open it through Spotlight, I get a "Game Center quit unexpectedly" message.
When I open it directly through the Apps folder, it opens fine, but I get this message when I try to log in:
Couldn’t communicate with a helper application.
Try your operation again. If that fails, quit and relaunch the application and try again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From the time of your post, it may be related to the issue where some users were having issues logging in. Take a look at the article below any time you are having issues with anything Apple service related to see if there is an issue. If you still cannot log in, let me know.

Can't log into Game Center even after my password has been reset Help please

I have 2 gamecenter accounts, I tried logging into one last night but its telling me to reset my password which I have done but its still saying wrong password. Any ideas on what I should try next please? Oh I have a ipad 2 and all my software is up to date thanks

To make things worst, now whenever I try to play Battle Supremacy, the app just keeps trying to switch to Game Center, which is already a dead end, and this is getting SOOOOOOO annoying. Help, please?

Do a backup.
Quit the application.
In Finder hold down the option/alt key while selecting the Go menu item. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.gamecenter.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart the computer, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.
If you want to make your user library permanently visible, run the below command in Applications/Utilities/Terminal.
chflags nohidden ~/Library/
You will need to do that after any updates.

I Go to settings / Game Center then type in my pass word and the next window comes up with all my info, but it won't let me press done to confirm.

Can't Log Into Game Center

I installed Mountain Lion on two computers today. With one of them, I was able to enter my login credentials with no problem. But, on the other computer, the two fields are not clickable. My email address is prepopulated in the top field, but I can't click on it or make the password field active. Has anyone else experienced this?

Okay, I just realized that when I made an account on Game Center, I typed in the wrong e-mail address and apple ID. Now when I go to try and change it, it says my Apple ID is already in use by another. I do not see how that is possible as my ID is unique to me (e-mail address) and I use it on Apple.com, iTunes, ect. and it works just fine. I changed my Apple ID when I got my iPhone. I also have an iPod touch, but the Game Center on my iPod was under a different e-mail and old ID that I forgot about. I never used game center on my iPod except for a select few times.
How do I fix this???????

Nevermind. I figured it out. I had to log out and sign in with the ID I wanted to actually use. Lost my scoring, but still have the games and none of the progress was erased. So yay!

I had this problem when I recently upgraded my iPhone to iOS6. I had somehow ended up with two AppleIDs, and the one that I hadn't been using previously was asking for a nickname. I finally figured out that I was using the wrong account, changed it in the iTunes store settings for my phone (I assume there's an equivalent with the touch?) and was then able to access the Game Center and see all my dragons again. I managed NOT to have my blood pressure shoot through the roof at the loss of my little pixels.

I cant login to itunes using my apple id on my macbook pro, but i can using my daughters id. It keeps saying "We could not complete your itunes store request"

You may need to reset your keychain. Connection issues are occasionally caused by keychain issues. Learn how to use Keychain First Aid to resolve any issues with your keychain.

Yeah, got that with my son's Touch today. I had to give up my old Apple ID (not an email address) after my iOS 5 update on my iPad, so I had to "merge" it with my email address. Now he can't log in without setting up his profile again. This ultimately fails at the nickname point: says I need a password. There is no place to stick a password. Stupid.
First the Lion slap in the face, now this iOS stuff... I'm losing my patience with Apple quickly.
