Can't log into iTunes or icloud on windows 7

I am having trouble getting in to use iTunes and icloud on my desktop windows 7. Saying that I'm not connected to server, but I am accessing the Internet though. Also am receiving emails but cannot send them......aaaaaagh!

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    The Apple IDs from @mac.com and @me.com (Older MobileMe and more recent iCloud Names) are also Valid AIM Screen names.
    Any other sort of Apple ID is not a Valid AIM Name.
    A Google ID that is associated with Google Mail Account (And has "Talk" enable on your Google Settings) can be used in iChat as  Jabber Name/ID.  (Google Run  Jabber server).
    Jabber and AIM are different IM Services and it is not easy or straight forward to add Buddies from one Service to the Buddy List of another.  (As A Starting point consider it "impossible")
    iChat 4 and 5 have links to the registration page of @Mac.com here with a "Get an iChat Account" button in the add (Account) screen  (You select @mac.com or MobileMe and then press the Button - Choosing AIM and then pressing the button used to lead to the AIM registration page but AIM moved their page).
    Apple IDs can be any valid email (or an @mac.com or iCloud registration)
    Therefore you could make a Google ID into an Apple ID.
    However this will not be a valid AIM Screen Name the way @mac.com or MobileMe/iCloud ones are.

  • Updated and now can't log into iTunes. I see my apple id on iTunes page, but can't access account info or purchases

    HELP!! I udpated all my itunes etc., and can access my Mac App Store, but can no longer access my itunes purchases or account info. I don't get an error message. But, when I log into iTunes and see my apple ID at top right hand corner, but then go to purchase history and account info, it just keeps taking me back to log in block.     Ok.  Found something that said to shut down and hold the option, command, p, and r keys on restart.  Held them down for a few restarts and everything automatically signed in and works.  Woohoo!!!

    After reading your post, it seems you are unable to access your Apple ID. Have you attempted to reset your password then try logging again? 
    Here are the steps for resetting your password:
    Apple ID: Changing your password - Apple Support
    Learn how to change your Apple ID password.
    Follow these steps to change your Apple ID password. If you can't remember your password, follow the steps for what to do if you forget your Apple ID password.
    Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com).
    Click “Manage your Apple ID” and sign in.
    If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID. If you're unable to receive messages at your trusted device, follow the guidelines for what to do if you can't sign in with two-step verification.
    Click "Password and Security".
    In the "Choose a new password" section, click Change Password. 
    Enter your old password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password. Click Save when done.
    The next time you use an Apple feature or service that uses Apple ID, you'll be asked to sign in with your new Apple ID password.

    Ever since downloading and installing Mavericks, I have been unable to use my apple id  on my Imac. I can't get into Itunes store, the App store or software update and it's driving me mad. Any ideas?

    tried that and it's the right ID, but when I go to Itunes and click on the store, it won't even access the store. If I try to sign in, it brings up the window, I put in my ID and hit enter.....it doesn't even change to my ID, just stays as 'sign in'
    When I try and open the app store or software update, nothing appears in the app store window. It's like those particular apps aren't connecting to the internet. Don't use Safari, so don't know if that's affected, but Chrome and Firefox are fine.

    I just signed up for icloud.  I previously had itunes on my old computer.When I went to sign up to icloud it told me my password was wrong so I changed it.  When I went to sign into icloud (after installed)  It told me I have to log in using my Apple Id in order to get into Icloud but when I do that, this message comes up : 
    Can not sign in
    This Apple Id is valid but is not an icloud account.
    From what I have read your Apple Id is your icloud Id.  Help, I don't know what to do?  I just want to back up pictures from a phone that someone gave me and that I will be having blanked out when it gets turned on by new provider.
    I am able to log on in here but for some reason can't get into my icloud...help is appreciated, thank you.

    Well, it does say on http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html in step 1: "To enable iCloud on your Windows PC (Windows 7 or 8 required), first set up iCloud on your other devices, then install the iCloud Control Panel for Windows.
    If you're trying to back up your device to iCloud, that doesn't have anything to do with your computer.  You back up to iCloud over wifi.  All you do is go to Settings>iCloud, sign in with your Apple ID to create your account, scroll down and tap Storage & Backup, then turn on iCloud Backup.  You can then tap Back Up Now at the bottom to start the back up manually, or lock the screen and connect it to your charger and it will back up automatically every day.
    Enabling the iCloud control panel on your PC only allows you to sync your iCloud data with your PC, not to back up your device to iCloud.

    OK, here's my challenge to you amazing Geniuses:
    I created my itunes apple ID about 8 years ago, so therefore it is just my name. I know my password for this and use it daily to purchase apps. When I bought my iphone 4s a year ago, they created a new @me account to use for icloud. I have NEVER used this account or email associated with it. I never hooked my iphone or my ipad up with icloud. Today I downloaded the new IOS 6.0.1 software to my ipad only, and it was prompting me to sync into icloud. Apparently my @me account is now a new @icloud account. The problem is, I can't get into either one. I have no clue what they made my password for my @me account. I've never even checked my email for this account. When I try all of the possible ways to retrieve my @me Apple ID from the apple wesite, I come to the same 2 options...1) get a link to reset my password via email (when I click on this I don't get anything sent to my normal primary or rescue emails...if they are sending it to my @me email account that is just pointless seeing that I can't remember my password)...and 2) answer the security question (which when I try to answer it to the best of my ability it doesn't match and there are NO other options).
    So my BIGGER question in this mess is...can I change my old Apple ID (the one I actually use daily and has all of my purchases and music on it) to be an acceptable email ID so I only have one Apple ID to be used for iTunes, and iCloud? I tried to follow Apple's promt to tell me to merge my simple old ID with my primary (msn) email address. However when I click on "submit", NOTHING happens. When I try to change it to my primary email by typing it in, I get a red alert saying that I can't change it to an already existing Apple domain...which is ridiculous because it's used for that original ID, and they are the ones telling me to merge the two!
    OR....can I just create a new Apple icloud id/email altogether and forget that the other one they created for me exists? Since I never used it or icloud for anything, would I be able to do this? It does however bother me that there is a @me/@icloud account with my name on it that I can't get into.

    I encountered a problem a few weeks ago which is a bit like yours. In my case my Apple ID stopped working after I upgraded to Mountain Lion. I finally found out it was because of the fact that my Apple ID has in fact been an alias within my much older MobileMe/iCloud account. And they weren't able to merge or reset the account at first. It took me a lot of mails and a few calls to get them to resetting the account and changing my Apple ID (for the Apple Store, iTunes, etc.) to a different, non-iCloud related email adress.
    Anyway, maybe you can call the Apple Support and kindly ask them to reset the password for this ominous @me.com account so you can finally start using it.
    Did you try logging into iCloud using your adress with the appendix @me.com because not everybody has got the @icloud.com ending yet. Technically it's no problem to create a new iCloud account. I can understand though that you'd like to get "your name" back .

  • Can't log into iTunes store account

    So I can no longer log into my iTunes store account. When I try to log in, I get an error message in red letters saying:
    FieldName: null. java.lang.Exception
    I have tried resetting my password mutliple times with no luck. I can log into my Apple Store account, I can log into the forums (obviously since I am able to post on these forums), yet iTunes will not let me log in.
    Anybody else experience this as well or know how to fix it? Thanks in advance for your help

    I am experiencing the same exact problem you are. What gives? I never messed around with my login information and I've always gotten in before. But now I can't.
    I've also done the password reset, and still it won't let me log in with the new password.
    This is the same red error message I get as well:

  • Itunes error 0x80092013 - can't log into iTunes

    I know there are a lot of posts on this error...itunes error 0x80092013. I can't log in. Apple please put this on the top of your list to fix. I can't log in, can't update my family's FOUR iTouch. Nothing was changed or installed before, during, or after the iTunes 10.6 update. Clearly it is an Apple issue.

    I have got this error and have done quite a bit of digging.
    Can you check the following folder:
    C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Logs (where username can be 'Joebloggs' etc).
    In this folder there should be some log files.  Double click on the most recent file.  If you are getting the same problem as me and numerous other people there should be entries in this file similar to below:

    Looking at this the problem is related to certificates and itunes.exe and apsdaemon.exe.
    Interstingly I have noticed whenever I exit itunes it stays resident in memory (this can be checked by using task manager'). The only way for it to completely exit itunes is to end the process tree for apsdaemon.exe in task manager.  Do you also get this problem?  The reason I ask this is that a large number of errors have been reported with apsdaemon.exe as well.
    A number of people have reported that the only way they have been able to sort this problem is either an itunes downgrade or a windows re-install.

    just made a store account today from both the website and from itunes on my pc running windows 7.  have billing info complete etc but when i try to log in from itunes it gives me a message that this account has not yet been used with i tunes and to review my account info.  when i click the review button it says your session has timed out.  I have itunes enabled with the windows firewall and have a separate incoming rule for itunes.  not sure what is blocking my log in....

    Help! My wife's WinXP box has suddenly stopped connecting to her iTunes store account - getting the error message "cannot connect" etc etc.
    I've posted the diagnostic log further below, but in summary:-
    - Actual internet connectivity is fine - websites, email etc.
    - I am able to connect to MY iTunes account on my MacBook Pro
    - she also tried connecting using her iPhone, to update some apps over wifi, but they were stalled on "waiting/updating", even after about 20 mins. So she backed-out of that, had to switch the phone off & back on. We read that it would be wise to "log out" of the iTunes store on teh actual iPhone handset (in settings), then log back in, so the account at Apples' end wasn't "stuck".
    - Never had ANY problems connecting to her iTunes store account before now (last few days).
    - No updates performed on her laptop, changes to preferences, settings etc that might have caused this.
    - Laptop is NOT used away from our house, and our wifi/router has not been breached as we live in the middle of the countryside, so I'm happy with security of the network.

    I'm in the uk with an uk itunes account and when i open my itunes store it's set to the us and when i try to change it to uk it refreshes and stays as us site when i try to log in it does the same!!
    i've got a tower and a imac on this broadband connection and they are the same, but when i go home and log in on my laptop it's fine so it's not my account.....
    i want to register my iphone on the tower because it has all my calender, contacts, music and pics on it can anyone help?

    Does the Store indicator in the upper-right of the iTunes window when you have the Store selected show your account name? If so, click that and then the "Sign Out" button. That will get you complete logged out of your iTunes Store account. Then make sure that iTunes is set for the UK Store and try logging in again. Sometimes that will fix an incorrect country setting.
    Since it's happening on both of your systems on your broadband connection, it's possible that it's a routing problem at your ISP. It's not common, but it has been known to happen (it was a problem with one provider in Canada a few months back), so if the problem persists and none of the suggestions here (either these or those anyone else proposes) help, you may want to talk with your ISP.
