Can't login to business Catalyst via Dreamweaver

I have seen this question asked a few times on the forums however I have not seen a solution that works, I did see the one about deactivating and removing that particluar dm file, and then reactivating however that didn't fix the problem.  I am able to log in via webportal to catalyst however dreamweaver does nothing and will not let me import BC sites.  And my cloud account is merged with BC account.
Any other solutions to enable Dreamweaver to work?.. I did have it working to create a BC site through dreamweaver when I was in trial mode, however it never allowed me to use BC's templates or anything like that, I assumed this problem would be fixed when I upgraded.  well I upgraded and now it won't even create a site.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have been onto the Adobe site and run all the updates for all of the CS6 software. There was not one specifically for Dreamweaver. I did then go to the adobe site and downloaded the latest 12.0.3 update for Dreamweaver CS6 file but it will not update. It gives me an error screen, see attached. What should I do?

    As my name implies, I am quite new to this stuff and learning as I go.
    I am trying to login to the Business Catalyst panel in Dreamweaver CS6. When I click the login button on the panel, nothing happens. I doesn't ask for a password or anything. The button just doesn't do anything.
    I just recently purchased a Creative Cloud Subscription. I had Dreamweaver before purchasing Creative Cloud, and the Business Catalyst account I am working with is owned by my employer. I was able to login to the Business Catalyst panel in Dreamweaver before getting Creative Cloud.
    I am able to access the remote server for the site just fine.
    I also tried to re-import the Business Catalyst site in Dreamweaver. When I click the import button, a blank window pops up, then dissappears. That's it.
    The same thing happens when I attempt to create a new Business Catalyst site.

    Okay, just had the same issue and found where the problem is and how to workaround the problem (bug has been reported).
    The scenario Adobe didn't cover is when you have already logged in to Business Catalyst via Dreamweaver CS 6 and saved your password.  The extension keeps you "logged in" with that username and password until you logout.  So if you have changed your login details online with Business Catalyst.  You must come back into Dreamweaver, go to Windows and open the Business Catalyst Window and logout, and then login again now with your new credentials.  The ability to see your sites for importing will show up again.  I have told Adobe that they need to check if the login credentials don't match, that instead of saying "There are no sites to be found" it needs to say that the login credentials don't work and prompt the user to add the credentials again in the Business Catalyst Side Panel Window (which by default is now undocked from the side panel).
    The challenge I am looking for, is to allow multiple administrators to be able to use their respective Business Catalyst login account to access the same site.

    Hello I just signed up to Business Catalyst and been trying to connect through Dreamweaver for a week and can't get it to work. Whenever I click Import BC site in manage sites in Dreamweaver it just says an account with same email already exists. To associate your BC account with your Adobe ID, please lgin to the business catalyst web administation console. I have spoke with both Dreamweaver and BC though chat multiple times and can't find a solution and am getting very frustrated. Has anybody had this problem before?

    I'm having the same issue with no solution in sight. BC and Dreamweaver should be able to give some clear instruction on this!!

    Yes you can! It is a Basic level site but you can build it without Muse. I think you may need to create the site originally with Dreamweaver or Muse (meaning creating the site with Business Catalyst not building the site) but once that is done you can use any software to create the code for the site and upload it via SFTP. Hope that makes sense.

    Please provide more information on the issue. What is the exact error message that you get when you try to publish a site from Muse? Also, if you go to Edit -> Preferences in Muse, what is the email address that you see in the "publish with account" section? Is that the same email address that you used to subscribe to cloud?
    As for being able to login to Business Catalyst (or mainly to the admin console of your site), you will only be able to do that once you publish a site to Business Catalyst from Muse or Dreamweaver, because only after you do that, a free partner account will be created with the email address that you used to subscribe to cloud with.

    Can I add a business catalysts Photo Gallery module to Muse - As my client want to upload images themselves to the gallery.
    I know that with the Muse plugin this is not possible. Therefore wanted to see if the photo gallery module in BC would work the same as the Blog Module?

    If you're a little familiar with Business Catalyst, you might find this widget helpful.
    It's a BC Photo Gallery - Muse Widget, Its very easy to use and customize.
    There is a training video on how to set it up.
    However Brad is right, you'll need to upgrade to BC webMarketing Plan.

    I can't connect to the business catalyst server using dreamweaver. It prompts incorrect username or password, but it's not though. I'm traying to import a templet from business catalyst to change the background to a personal image.
    Can't find out how els to do it so I'm trying this.

    This prompt itself means that your login credentials are wrong. Double, triple check the ID and password you're using to try to login to BC.
    Try logging in from here: http://www.businesscatalyst.com/admin/Index.aspx to see if you're able to. If not, reset your password from here.

  • Can't create new business catalyst site in Dreamweaver

    This question has been asked on the forums before but an answer has never been provided.
    I'm trying to create a new Business Catalyst site in Dreamweaver but when I click "New Business Catalyst Site" a blank dialogue box pops up for about 2 seconds and disappears again. This happens no matter where I try to create the new site from.

    When I click the login button in the Business Catalyst panel in Dreamweaver CS6, I get no response. So I cannot login to access my BC sites via Dreamweaver.     Please check which version of Dreamweaver CS6 you are using. In case this is Version 12 Build 5842, this should work fine. If this is some other version then please go to following link and download the patch:

  • Problems login onto Business Catalyst dashboard

    I recently built a website and started hosting in through Business Catalyst. I have put it live (with a domain purchased and registered through Go Daddy) but since it has gone live Business Catalyst won't let me login to my dashboard again to view statistics and make changes exc. I get an error message say "An Error Occurred  An error occurred processing your last request. Please go back and try again." when ever trying to login. Any help on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

  • Cannot start Business Catalyst from Dreamweaver CS 6.

    I have a x64 Windows 7 operating system and have CS6 Dreamweaver installed. I have the Master collection and have a subscription to the creative cloud. When I click under Site - "New" Business Catalyst Site.... A dialogue box opens up that says Business Catalyst on the title bar but the box is white and then disappears.  On the right side where it has the Business Catalyst tab that says "Login" and the button does nothing. No response at all. If I select Site -> Manage Sites and select either Import Business Catalyst Site or New Business Catalyst Site  the
    dialogue box opens up that says Business Catalyst on the title bar but the box is white and then disappears.
    Everything else works (I can log in to the Phone Gap service), but anything related to BC will not work at all. If I login using Muse all is ok. Muse is on same machine as dreamweaver CS6 .On another windows 7 machine using dreamweaver cs5.5 I can log in to BC just fine. Just from dreamweaver CS6 I have this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

    You say "once you subscribed ...."
    Does that mean you had the DW stand alone from Master collection installed then subscribed to the cloud?
    If so, you may be experiencing a conflict in registered users. Is your DW registered to the same Adobe ID of your Business Catalyst stuff?
    Just trying to eliminate possible causes.

  • How do I make it so my client can edit Links in business catalyst when they create new pages?

    Okay so essentially I have built a site in Muse uploaded to business catalyst and I've setup a site template so that the client can create new pages as each new course arrives, but how do I get the link from the homepage to link to the new page? basically I need the link to be editable.
    What would be ideal is a kind of portfolio layout where there is a thumbnail and a new page but for my client to be able to add a new project adn it would create a thumbnail on the homepage and a new page that he can edit. Does anyone know of something like that possible in Business catalyst?

    Editing with Business Catalyst only works with image or text editing , we cannot add new page or page items using in browser editing.
    However, you can manage the site from BC end when your client and login to admin and add pages, modify etc, but if you re-publish the site from Muse then then changes will be overwritten.

  • How do I upload a finished website to Business Catalyst using Dreamweaver?

    I've finished building a website that I want to publish on Business Catalyst for my client. I'm using Dreamweaver CC. There is an option for creating a new BC website, but I can't find a way to upload a finished site like I was able to in the older versions of Dreamweaver. Am I missing something?

    A workaround that's available that involves a few steps.
    1. Print a network configuration page to get the printers host name.
    a. press the wrench in top right hand corner
    b. Select the wireless menu
    c. Scroll and select network configuration.
    d. Print network configuration page.
    2. Select start menu
    a. Go to my computer.
    b. At the top of the page select map network drive.
    c. In the drive box select a available drive letter.
    d. In the Path or Folder text box, type the following:
    \\ insert host name here\Memory_Card
    example on how it should look. \\HP7A5319\memory_card
    Select finish after entering information.

  • I can't get the Business Catalyst add on to work due to file sync not working

    I'm trying to create a new Business Catalyst site via Dreamweaver. I installed the add-on in creative cloud, restarted my machine and Dreamweaver. I realised that in Creative Cloud preferences file sync was turned off, so I turned it on and restarted my machine and found that in preferences it was turned off again. I need to know why it won't save this setting.

    Are you running LabVIEW 7.0? The 7.1 version seems to work reliably but the 7.0 version does not to seem to work most of the time. I am having the same problems as you describe. Must be some bug in 7.0, but I have not had time to compare the code. Anyone?
