Can't login to console SCMM2012R2
Hi,
I did a fresh install of SCCM2012R2. After a gruelling prerequisite fulfilment I can't even log into the damn console.
It tells me "The user account running Configuration Manager has insufficient privileges to read information from the Config Site. The account must belong to a security role in the configuration manager. The account must also have Windows Server
Distributed Component Object Model blah blah blah."
Common problem, but I can't seem to get in. The account "scadmin" has domain admin rights and was added to the local groups for SMS admin, DCOM on both SQL and Site server. I also have OpsMgr and VMM2012R2 was installed there. Also ran dcomcnfg

What is this "security role" the error speaks of?

Can not login to console from N1

I installed N1 in an x4200. In the same local network, there is a T2000 which can be discovered by N1. When clicking "open serial console", I can only login console in read-only mode.
You know, when I connect the T2000 ALOM from a terminal, and then enter "console -f", I can login in the console in read-write mode.

A workaround is just to use a terminal to connect to SP of that box (which frankly is the same what N1SM does these days using a java telnet/ssh plugin) - either using ssh or telnet
Otherwise open up a call with Sun and log an escalation ... if you have a business reason for this problem, I guess you will be given a patch
(I can reproduce this on a T1000 , frankly latest development of N1SM is xVM Ops Center and they dropped this feature afaik )

Can't login Oracle BPEL console
Oracle BPEL PM shows 2 errors:

You may be having a have a DNS entry issue:
http://pce-01:9700/BPELConsole
Change on your workstation the hosts file; c\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
add the entry
127.0.0.1 pce-01.<fully quaified domain name>
127.0.0.1 pce-01
Restart the SOA Suite.
Also, regarding the BPEL Console login, generally by default its welcome1, unless you have given a different password at the time of installation when running the irca.sh scripts to create orabpel/oraesb/orawsm schemas.(for SOA Adv install). However, in SOA Basic install, they get installed in olite db, so welcome1 is generally the default password.

Can't login to the Collaborate C-Hub Administration Console
What's the user name and password for the Collaborate C-Hub Administrator console?
I successfully intstalled the RosettaNet version of Collaborate with the Coludscape
database on an NT. The verification also succeded. But after starting the server
with C-Hub configuration (from the start-menu) I can't login! What is the correct
login and password when I havn't changed anything?
I can't start the WebLogic Server console with the C-Hub server configuration.
There is nothing at that URL (http://localhost:7001/console).
I can start the WebLogic server console with the ordinary default server and login
as the "system" user. But then I don't have any configuration for the C-Hub!
Have I missed something here, or is the Colloaborate installation description
truncated?
It seems to me that I have to install the C-Hub administration console as a web
application in the server I can login to with the Administrator console. If so,
why doesn't the installation guide tells me that?
(By the way, the URL's the installation created in the start-meny contains an
invalid hostname. It should be "localhost" or my machine name. For some reason,

I got the C-Hub and C-Enabler running, but not the administrators console (in
those servers). There is sufficient configuration information in this document
at the BEA site:

The login: bea, and password: 12345678 given there worked.
I havn't yet been able to use the administrators console to configure the servers
in the Collaborate hub and enabler directories. (To do that I belive the adminitration
console must first be added as an application in those servers.)
I got the C-Hub and C-enabler working by directly editing the configuration in
hub/config/mydomain/config.xml resp. enabler/config/mydomain/config.xml and running
the two servers separatly.

go to command prompt . type - essmsh
then you will be able to see MaxL prompt
enter the command login username password;
you can use this utility to load data , import export running calc etc...

When the users are created through the dynamic profile, the default cn/sn are set to "default" , after creation you need to login to amconsole as amadmin and change/add proper values for these attributes.
Alternatively you can set the protected resource's policy subject to Authenticated users. This will work but not sure will meet your requirement

Cisco ASA 5505 - Can't Login from Public & Local IP Anymore!

We've a Cisco ASA 5505 connected directly to Verizon FiOS Circuit (ONT) box using Ethernet cable. As per the existing documention that I have, the previous configured this as a dedicated router to establish a seperate VPN connection our software provider. They assigned both Public Static and Local Static IP address. When I try to ping the public IP address, it says request time out; so the public IP address is no longer working.
When I ping the local IP address of 192.168.100.11, it responds. The SolarWind tool also shows Always UP signal. How can I login into this router either from remotely or locally to check the configuration, backup and do the fimrware upgrade?
I also tried to connect my laptop directly to the ASA 5505 router LAN port. After 3 minutes, I'm able to connect to Internet without any issues. However I don't know the IP address to use to login.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
UPDATE: I'm able to find the way! I need to use https to login! I'm able to download ASDM tool and login! Thanks to these resources:

If that ASA5505 has factory-default configuration on it , then it probably has 192.168.1.1 ip address on the LAN side and has got dhcp server turned on to provide you ip address dynamically the moment you hook up a machine to it directly or through a switch.
If you've access to ASDM.
You can go the Configuration Tab>>Device Management>>Device Access and turn on the SSH & Telnet from the LAN interface because by default only HTTPS/ASDM is enabled on LAN interface.
You will still need to generate crypto keys and create a username in order to get ssh working
For this you can click at the TOP at TOOLS>> Command Line Interface.
And in the box below type this
crypto key generate rsa modulus 1024
add a username
username <> password <> priv 15
and enable aaa authentication for ssh like this
aaa authentication ssh console LOCAL

Client has installed obiee 11g in a server sitting at different place. We have deployed our own repository and catalog. Now we can't login to obiee analytics. It does not accept any username or password created in weblogic console. But if we deploy oracle's default SampleSales repository, then we could login. Can't understand what's the problem!

This is the exact format how my tnsnames.ora file looks. sorry, I can ping it in command prompt now. In my connection pool i tried first DSN = ab.bc.xy.zx, did not work. Then I saw oracle's default repository and changed my DSN to your suggested format starting from "DESCRPTION" to rest. Still no luck Do you think, i should put the same TNS in my local machine??

This is another "can't login" problem.
I've already read the other threads on this problem, but still it's not fixed yet.
So, the story is, i installed fedora on another partition in my laptop. I dual boot between archlinux and fedora now.
The login problem occurred after i installed fedora. But im not sure whether that had to do with the login problem.
I already followed some tips from the thread i read:
1. export $DISPLAY=:0.0 on console. and then startkde
didn't work. i got something like "cannot connect to X"
2. try startx, didn't work either.
3. One of the thread advised that i deleted folder .kde4, but i just renamed it to ._kde4 (doing this is not different with deleting the folder right?)
Still, the problem is not fixed.
4. I install fam, because previously i used gamin.
5. I add a new user, hoping that this user can login. But no luck here.
But some strange things happened when i login using console.
1. It says that my user (keripix) doesnt have a directory or something like that. And when i "cd /home/keripix" it told me that i dont have the permission.
2. Every time im trying to run as root, im always told that authentification fails. This is strange i think, because im able to login to console using "keripix" and my password.
Right now im very desperate. I need my arch for my big project for my final year at uni. im not thingking about reinstalling my arch, because i have some important data. And i dont know how to move them to a different place (postgresql data). And im not thingking of changing from arch. I just love arch.
Please help. It would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.So I suggested that you first solve that problem for safety's sake, just in case something might get worse when you try to fix the other issue.
I still think that it would be wise for you to have a backup or a copy of your data files somewhere in a safe place.
It seems to me that you should consider it urgent, especially when there are other problems with your installation.

Here, here. Good tip MadTux. This is what I'd think by reading this thread. Your install of fedora whether intentional or accidentally has now become permission-owned by the user you created in fedora. If this is that case just changing permissions recursively to your arch ones should do the trick.
OK...i'll try to do this on arch.
Btw, now i can login to my arch. But i use slim instead of kdm. However, still, there's a lot of problems. Such as i can't use applications that need root permission. Also, i cant become root as well.
Konsole also breaks somehow. There's no text in the konsole screen (sorry im not sure what you actually call for the black space you type those commands ) -
Can't login using Firefox. (Mac OS X)
I can't login to Adobe or the forum using Firefox (v30.0) Mac, which is my main browser. I'm only logged in right now using Safari.

I just did a clean install of Firefox, and got off the beta channel, however the problem is that I'm still now with Firefox 30 and it has the same problem.
It's weird. When I go to login, the page hangs, but when I leave the page to go to another Adobe page, I'm already logged in.
However if I try to do anything like see my licenses, I get sent back to the login page and it hangs.

Can't login to EM & ODSM when OIM server running..
Hi Oracle specialists,
I have a strange problem and I hope you can help me out with this... I'm almost finished installing Fusion applications and have the following servers configured for IDM:
-Admin Server (console/EM)
-wls_oam1 (OAM)
-wls_ods1 (ODSM)
-wls_oim1 (OIM)
-wls_soa1 (SOA)
The thing is that as soon I start OIM, I can't login to ODSM, the login page becomes unreachable. I also can't login to EM since the SSO login credentials (weblogic_idm) are not accepted. BUT I can login to OIM with weblogic_idm.
But when I shut OIM down and restart the other servers, I have perfect SSO functionality with user weblogic_idm. The strange thing is that it used to work and I'm trying to avoid reinstalling Fusion Applications all over again.
I hope you can help me out!

But the Network Configration tool shows that the IP address is 192.168.0.10 and the corresponding Host name is localhost.localdomain. The output is not same with the previous one. -
Lync 2013 disabled user can still login.
Ok. so we have this weird behavior and it's been driving us crazy for over a week. We have a lync 2013 deployment on a forest with several child domains.<o:p></o:p>
In the middle of the deployment, we noticed that our changes to the user characteristics were not being updated. Eg: we enable or disable
enterprise voice, no changes. We change the sip URI, log out, login, nothing, no changes. And we noticed that if we disable the user from Lync server (from the lync controlpanel), the user can still login. We assumed some lag on AD replication, but no, a user
can still login after a week!<o:p></o:p>
The deployment is a standard Lync 2013, single FE, with a single Edge server. We have enabled Enterprise voice, changes to the enterprise voice routes are
working, if we enable or disable a route we can see it on the client, but changes on the dialplan are not reflected.<o:p></o:p>
I can’t find any reference to this behavior. I know if I disable a user from the AD he can still signing into Lync, but this is different, we are disabling
the user from Lync server. We even removed the user completely from Lync and he can still use it as normal.<o:p></o:p>
We checked the user using adsiedit and the msrtcsip-userenabled is set to false, we even voided the certificate via lync console. Still able to use it.

Please check if there is any error message on FE Server when the issue happen.
It seems to be the issue of CMS replication.
Please check CMS replication status by running Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus.
If CMS replication not update to the latest version, run Invoke-CsManagementStoreReplication.
If the issue persists, please check Lync Server update, make sure Lync Server update to the latest version, and then test again.
