Can't login to store thru itunes

Every single time I try to Sign In to the Music Store via iTunes, I get a message saying "This Apple ID has not yet been used with the iTunes Store" then shoots me over to the Create an Account page. But I have a Apple ID; I'm logged into it right now thru my browser. Logging in via Firefox: no problems. Logging in thru iTunes: it won't let me. I've already set up my payment information thru PayPal (and still have the email saying so) but again, as far as I can tell, iTunes thinks my Apple ID is bogus. How can I fix this garbage?
BTW, using iTunes 7 on Windows XP

perhaps try contacting the iTunes Store directly about the issue. the email form at the bottom of this FAQ would probably be the best one to use:

    I can connect to the app store using my Apple ID and it appears I can log in to iTunes, however when I try to verify my account information, or update apps, or anything it pops up another login window. If I put in the correct login information the login window just pops back up. I can connect to the forums or the app store with my ID so I know the account/password information is correct.
    I can connect to the iTunes store on my ipad and download app updates.

    Yes but you may run into issues if you want them both to run iTunes Match or automatic downloads.

    I've been trying to update and install a few apps within the last hour with limited success. I'm inclined to believe the app store may be having some issues like earlier this month (2 June) with iPad installation of apps. I get "unable to connect to iTunes store" and my apps that need updating are blank squares that all say waiting. I'm pretty sure it will be fine in a few hours. There may be maintenance of some sort. My husband is having the same problem. I'm using an iPad 2, iOS 4.3.3 and he is as well.

    I have the same problem that other people:
    " The Apple ID you entered couldn't be found or your password was incorrect. Please try again."
    The problem is in iphone, pc no problem, web no proble, itunes no problem. I restores iphone, get app in itunes, sync, and the first moment all ok, but after 5 minuts can't login again.

    I still like the time I can not access the store, for more than a week. I have no jailbreak, or Catalan, or any other modificion. The iPhone is such i as I did in movistar. Anyone know why? Store can be problem?? I created three different id but I still happening exactly the same. I've restored 5 times the iphone, itunes 5 times and five times the windows xp. Already rule out that the problem is mine, I think will be the Store, but of course anyone says anything!

    I upgraded my iphone to iOS 6 and now I can not access the app store or itunes, I have tried to use the new maps application and it odes not download the area map at all. This is very frustrating...

    What happens when you try to access/use/download apps?
    If there is an error message, what is the exact wording of that message?
    Has the iPhone been jailbroken or modified to work with other than
    the original wireless provider?
    Were any of the beta versions of iOS 7 ever installed on the iPhone?

    Have you tried resetting your iPod. Nothing will be lost.
    Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Do you have the power cable in, it won't show up with the power cable in.
    Additionally, there have been some issues with the update servers, it's possible you won't be able to complete the update procedure anyway.

I managed to get the icons up for about 2 hours, played one song, then an apple update 4.2.1 I think. I am now stuck in settings and cannont get out. Cannot play music, cannot get any apps.     App Store is preinstalled and cannnot be removed from iOS so there is no need to download it. If you don't see it, check to be sure that restrictions are not.

    My daughter recently updated to iTunes 8 and now she can't connect to the store. She recently got an error message (-4), but now that's not coming up either. It tries to connect, but just hangs there.

    To everyone on this thread... there is an iTunes 8.1 update available. Click your Apple logo top left in your Menu Bar, then click Software Update ... follow the instructions. Hopefully this will help.

  • I can't play a song thru Itunes on my laptop... How do I get it to Play?  It use to work just fine.  I can play videos..

    I have WIndows 8.  My computer is authorized.  I try to play songs using Itunes on it and I cannot.  I can play / watch / Hear videos.  But CANNOT hear the songs / they just don't do anything

    Make sure that iTunes isn't set to play to an Airplay device (located by the volume), also check to see if the sound properties for the computer (click the little speaker button and click "Mixer", and make sure iTunes is turned all the way up.

    Try reinstalling the App Store by installing the OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo)
    It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.7.3
    Restart your Mac after the combo is installed then try the App Store.

    OK really ticking me off this now!
    I’ve updated iTunes to v7.7 then I went to download the 2.0 software upgrade for my Touch. It goes through the same popups and I agree to T&Cs and then it pops up with this message:
    There was a problem downloading the iPod software for the iPod Touch. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation.
    I’ve repaired permissions
    Binned the prefs file and relaunched iTunes
    Binned iTunes completely and re-installed.
    Deleted refs in the keychain access and added new
    I get the same error every friggin time!
    Also 9 times out of 10 iTunes will not connect to the store. The loading bar fills up to 99% and then just hangs.
    Someone please help – I’ve posted before in separate threads but have had no reply.
