I used to live in Turkey and used my hp pavilion g6. No problems. Flew back to uk on 25th Sept and laptop won't let log on. Help please.

If you dont want to store your passwords on harddisk, you can disable it by edit the following lines in ~/.subversion/config
password-stores =
store-passwords = no

The User Profile Service service failed to Login user Profile error in Windows 7 Home Premium

Hi,
I recently purchased a new Dell Inspirion 1564 Laptop which had Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed.
The hardware configuration is i5 core Processor, 4GB Ram , 320GB HDD and 512MB Graphics card.
Today morning, I couldn't login as the system returned the following error after I entered the password.
"The User Profile Service service failed to login.
User Profile cannot be loaded"
I couldn't login at all as i had not created any other user account, even the face recognition didn't work.
I had to restore my pc to the previous state. I believe this happened after the installation of Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - March 2010 (KB890830) update, not immeditately though as i used the system few times after the installation of this update.
Is this a bug? I cant imagine if this happens if I am about to give a presentation, its going to be disastrous!

I'm getting the same issue - I'm the IT Manager at a school where every student has a laptop (fujitsu tablet T4410). This occurs to at least one new student every day. I have been unable to re-create the issue on demand, although I suspect it occurs when a temporary user profile gets created after the logon process takes too long (due to some disk activity, possibly related to windows updates or some thing). When we were creating student accounts on the machines, this would occur if we attempted to log in the newly created account before the computer had 'settled down' - it seems that there is a logon timeout, after which something stops working. If the new user's first logon happened too soon after booting, the profile would be corrupted. But this doesn't quite explain why it occurs seemingly randomly now.
My current solution is to boot into safe mode, back up the user's files, delete the account, create it again (the other suggested solutions on the internet did not work)
If you're desperate, you can log in while in safe mode, and use that to create a new account.
In any case, this is proving a very bad experience of Windows 7 for my students, and I hope to see a more useful fix for this soon.

Windows server update services installation failed the update could not be found

I have tried to install WSUS Role on windows 2008 r2 ent server. its says windows server update services installation failed.
actually the wsus role for SCCM 2007, asper the prerequesite i have finished all other steps, only wsus role is pending.. please help..

The keys are:
(1) to delete WindowsUpdate registry keys, and then
(2) enable/restart Windows Update services.
(3) also to make sure there's no WSUS policy defining update server is in place

SP2010 Application Pool Service Account fails to login to master database on a SQL Server mirror

This is a weird problem that just started showing up, cause unknown. Could go in this forum or in SQL 2008...I put it here because for me the context is SP2010.
We have 2 SQL servers (2008 R2 with SP1). Each server has 2 named instances, the second being a mirror for the other server's main instance. In other words, the named instance /SQL has a /SQLMirror on the other server and vice versa.
The error is: Login failed for user 'domain\sharepointapppoolaccount'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database.
As best I can tell, the specified database is "master" on the mirror instance. I am unaware of any reason for the app pool account to be connecting to the master on the mirror (the master database itself is NOT mirrored). There is nothing
in the user mapping that would suggest any reason to try connecting. And there are no equivalent errors in the main instance (SQL).

When the principal server(SQL) disconnects clients from the principal database, then the mirror server(SQL) will take charge of clients’ requests.
So the error is regarding to the mirror server may be due to that the mirror server is taking charge of the clients’ request instead of the principal server when the principal is becomes unavailable.
I recommend to grant sysadmin permissions to the service account in SQL(mirror server) to see if the issue still occurs.

How to save the Created by name instead of saving login user name

I done Without log in Jsp page to open one responsibility without login .
here created one column Created by here user can view list of values in username . it EAM module work request page .
my issue is while creating the work request Created by name saving in to the database but requirement is user needs to select using created by LOV that username needs to be save on data base .
once open the application created by name is coming as a login name using controller i removed the created by i set the created by name in PR is lovevent .
front end its working fine but while saving login user name is saving i need to save the created by name based on the lov .
can any one help to overcome this issue......

It is a Standard Page and created by column Passing in the package while inserting the data FND_GLOBAL.UserID.
I have One more option i need to pass the created by as perameter in Jsp Page based on that user i need to get the password using (Encrprit ) command .
Is it Possible to do in Passing the Parameter OAF to JSP page .and how to Encrprit the password to avoid entering the password .

I can't connect to my Yahoo calendar, getting error, the server responded with an error, the request for account Yahoo failed, the server responded with 502 to operation, caldavaccountrefreshqueable operation

I was connected to my Yahoo mail using ical but kept getting the error message. I deleted my Yahoo profile from ical and then added it again. Now all my entries in my Calendar are gone and I am still getting the error message.

I am tired of how Yahoo has gotten worse and worse. It is the ONLY account I get problems with DAILY (even after removing and re-adding). AOL will act up once in a while not taking a saved password but accepting it when OK is clicked.... But Yahoo is always responding with such errors.... Today's calendar error is:
The request (CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation) for account “Yahoo” failed.

Firefox4: every add-on/extension gives the same error: "Secure Connection Failed - The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided".

These are all certs from static.addons.mozilla.net. Even if I add a security exception it does not help

Do you have something like BrowserSafe, Browser Safeguard, or Safeguard installed on your machine?
If so, get rid of it.

User profile service service failed the logon?

Every time I try to logon to my user account in windows vista home premium, it says :The User Profile Service service Has failed the logon. The User Profile Cannot Be Loaded." The Rest of the accounts on my computer still work fine. But New User Accounts say the same thing. System restore didn't even fix it when i restored back as far as possible. I've scanned for viruses with all security programs that I have, along with system diagnostics, etc. and still nothing. it still did it even after I moved all my files to another user's folder and deleted my account. I didn't change anything or add or delete anything before it stopped working. When i go to " user profiles" in "System properties" it showed my profile was a backup and unknown profile size. after I deleted my account, it didn't show my profile at all.

Windows Vista Home Premium failed logon
Hi, I have a Dell Inspiron 1720, about 4 weeks old, O S Windows Visa home premium.
On switching on, my profile picture appears and requests the pass word, on entering the password the following message appears "The user profile service failed logon.User profile cannot be loaded"
I have searched forums for assistance, but some say to press F8 on boot up I only have an F2 or F12 option on my Inspiron. also I only have one profile on the laptop as some are suggesting log on via guest profile and change settings, but i am unable to do this as i have no guest profile set up. Please help!

Urgent ! all of Portal users can't logon via IE

Now, all of users can't logon and display error message "Authentication failed. Password locked" or "Authentication failed. " But all of user can logon ABAP-side of the same Netweaver(In fact Portal UME
point to this ABAP planform) .
I had done that actived SAP* user, the error message is same.
Then I deactive the SAP* .
I copy a new user "test" in ABAP-side and assign "SAP_J2EE_ADMIN" role to the user "test".
Then I try to logon portal with user "test", but the problem is still there .
Is there any guys had met the problem ?

NetWeaver Sneak Preview 2004s ABAP - Can't logon with German

Hi SDN Members,
yesterday I've installed my copy of NetWeaver Sneak Preview 2004s ABAP. The installation runns smoothly. Licence installation did not worked through transaction SLICENSE. So I logged on as User nspadm and did it on command line. But now to my problem: I can't logon with language "DE". I get the error "Select one of the installed languages". I've checked Transaction SMLT and German looks like English.

hello Gregor,
there is the 'zcsa/installed_languages' parameter in the profile (NSP_DVEBMGS00_<hostname>) set to 'E'. If you'd like to run your Sneak Preview in German language you have to remove the parameter from the profile and then restart the system.

Weird "secret service operation failed" message

Hi,
Using the subversion commandline works fine but I also get the following message everytime I run an svn command:
svn ls
Message: secret service operation failed: The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files
src/
doc/
pom.xml
Any hints what might be causing the problem?
I cannot find anything related on the web except wireless / segfault related issues but I do not use wireless and there are no errors because the svn commands work as expected.

I'm receiving the same error, It does appear to be something to do with pcmanfm as you can see below (on my system it seems to be anyways).
I havn't found a way to fix as of yet, I'm quite new to linux so googling and what little I've learned are my only resources atm
