Can't make a soft line break in Photoshop CS3 anymore

Hello,
I posted this topic a while back with no answers.
I used to be able to do a "soft" line break in photoshop by hitting "shift + enter." it's not working anymore-- it's only giving me a "hard return".
are we no longer able to do soft breaks in photoshop anymore?

[iPhone] Soft line-breaker

I want to render strings on a view by myself on iPhone.
How can I know where soft line-breaks are in a string?
If a line-braker considers word-wraps, that would be better.
On Mac, I used ATSUBreakLine of ATSUI.

That works well on Mac.
But iPhone SDK doesn't contain it.
And I investigated Quartz 2D text functions.
But I cannot find any functions I want.
Any ideas?

Output:
Number of characters we can print within the max width
Soft line-breaker (considering word-wraps) would be better

On full keyboards with a numeric keypad, the key above the right shift is "return" & the one on the numeric section is "enter." On a Mac (or Apple IIgs ) they do have separate functions. On the "mini" keyboards, both names are on the same key, but "enter" is written in smaller letters. I'll have to check to see how that works on another Mac later today.

Strictly inside AE you have two options. Shatter using custom shatter maps and masking + particle effects. Neither would be as conviceing as Dave's solution.
If you have access to a 3D app (blender is free) you can do it there.
Here's a 2 minute project in AE with a stock image:
with a shot of the broken buscuit top animated to fit the split it might be kind of convincing.
Here's the CS6 AEP project file for you to play with. Take a look at all of the elements to see how this worked by selecting all layers and then pressing the u key twice to see everything I changed.

Line break in photoshop image

I had a tif file of a mountain climber which was placed in an Indesign file as a cover for a brochure. The indesign file went through a number of text edits during the course of August through November. Towards the last month of November a line gap appeared in the cover on the tif file. When I opened the tif file the gap appeared across the top quarter of the image. Why did this happen? Unfortunately I did not catch this and my client had to reprint the cover images at the press. My OS system is Maverick and I was using an older photoshop, CS5.

No the original image does not have the line break. See below.
I duplicated the image below for the current project and the line break occurred midway through the project. It seems that the image somehow got corrupted but I did not open it up in photoshop at all.

Can't open Camera Raw (CR2) files in Photoshop CS3?

I can't seem to open Camera Raw CR2 files in Photoshop CS3, my CameraRaw plug in version says it's 4.6 - any help appreciated.

Have you tried opening up out of Bridge? If that doesn't work you may new need to download a new driver from Canon. All my peripherals are Canon and I am always having to download new drivers everytime I update. Fortunatly they are really easy to find on Canon's site.

I can't find where to darken GRID lines on a table in the new Pages. I can make the outline more bold, but not the grid lines within the table. Is there a way to do this? The default grid lines are far too faint.

Yeah, the Help is missing a little.
If you select the block of cells that you want to change, then in the Format inspector:
Select the Cell tab
Expand the Border section
Set a line type
Set a line width
Choose a line color
Choose one of the nine options for which borders get the new settings

If it does not need to be neat, just use the pencil tool. The only other option would be to check the properties of a line you make and see if there is a format option, I don't remember seeing one.

How can I make the pen lines invisible?

I have made lots of edits with the pen tool, and I am noticing that the lines from the pen are a different color than what the shape is I made. Is there a way to make these lines from the pen invisible?

MDT 2012, Task Sequence Comments, can I change to have line breaks?

I added comments to a few Task Sequences. They all run into each other, I'd like to be able to type a sentence, press enter, then put another, but when I do this, that's not how it looks in LiteTouch.vbs.

I wanted to do the same thing and could not come up with a nice way to do it. Ended up using the hidden character Alt+0160 to space it out. Looks good now but took some trial and error to get it all lined up.

How can I make a "scaling scale" effect in photoshop? (soda can)

Hey. As part of my production art class, I was making a soda can mockup from a tutorial. I thought of an effect that could make it look better, where I make the soda can label and water bubble layer larger than the can, then use a "scaling scale" that leaves the pixels near the center of the layer at 100%, with the pixels at the edges having the biggest difference in size (thinner). This would make a sort of 3D effect that could make it look like the label and bubbles were on a real can or cylinder.
Is this possible?

If you're using a version of PS that has 3d, that would be easiest way to may both the bubbles and label apper to conform to the can. You can create a soda can in aPS 3D and then apply the label to the can using the diffuse layer texture map.
The other way would be to use warp (ctrl/cmd-T then right click to select warp). You would then need to move the sides of the warped area in towards the can.

Can I make a website with just using Photoshop and Flash together?

I am new to web design and am working on a website. I have not purchased dreamweaver, but am familiar with it from school. I do have Adobe Flash and Photoshop extended. You can import photoshop files into a flash project and build a website that way. Both Catalyst and Flash can output the markup necessary to make your flash website usable. As a developer though I try to steer people away from entire flash websites since they wont be usable on Apple Mobile and Tablet Devices. Youll need to read up on optimizing a flash sites SEO, this can only partially be done through flash. A text editer may be required to create additional files for your website. Good Luck!
