Can't make calls from macbook

When i attempt to make a call from my macbook i get error message "iphone calls not availble your iphone must use the same icloud and facetime account."
as fas as i know, both accounts are the same on my iphone and my macbook. when i get a facetime call on my phone, it also rings on my macbook.

Try log out all Apple IDs (in all settings) on all devices then login again with same ID everywhere.

How is it a security breach? You're free to turn off lock screen notifications for the phone app so that no one can do that.... even if they can, they can only call the number that called you... nothing else. (well, except for 900 or whatever the emergency services number is where you are, but that's required by law).

I had the same problem three days ago and now it is solved I was advised to try the following:
Go to settings - General - Date & Time - switch off the "Set Automatically" option and adjust the time zone manually.
I hope it works for you.

Sorry if I'm being dim, but I can't figure out how to make a call from my mobile with my new Skype account.
Can I do it? If so, how?
Do I need a special 'phone or will any mobile do?

If you are having issues with your iPhone being unable to make calls or access your Contacts application, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

Can I make calls from my Lumia phone using my lapt...

I've been hunting around but can't find a conclusive answer to this. I have a laptop (Windows 8.1) with the Broadcom BCM20702 chip and a Lumia 1320 phone (8.1). They're connected via Bluetooth (and USB)
Is there any software/method that will allow me to make and receive calls utilising my laptop?
In the 'old days' this would eb done by a phone card in a computer and appropriate dialling software but I can't see a way to replicate this.

you can't make calls, but if its supported, you can use facetime. another alternative is skype, but you wont be able to make actual phone calls from your ipad

Get SIM from the carrier who sold the iPhone.
Or Get it unlocked from them if they offer unlocking service.
If it is from SoftBank, they don't.
