Can't mass delete emails on iPad Air

When I check off mutiple emails to delete on my iPad Air, the emails uncheck automatically. They won't stay checked. I can swipe and delete one by one. I don't have the same problem on my iPhone 5.

If you are on iOS 7 you can open the inbox, choose edit, then choose mark all, mark all as read. This will at least make your messages all become read as I assume they are on your Mac.
As far as deletion, there is no Delete All option in the Mail app. One way you can delete all is to log into your email account on the internet portal and clear off whatever emails you don't want form the email server there. If you are using a Mac, your CMD+A functions will usually work to help you complete this task quickly.
Once all the emails are removed form the server, on the iPad, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Tapyour email account and turn mail off (or delete account if there is no mail switch). Power cycle the iPad then go back to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and turn mail back on or add account if you deleted it before. This will make the iPad query the email server and pull down only those emails that are left on the server (if you didn;t delete them all).

No Trashcan Icon, Unable to Delete Emails on iPad Air

Instead of a trashcan icon, I have an archive icon so I'm unable to delete emails. When I first open my mail, the trashcan icon shows for half a second then immediately changes to an archive icon. I have an IMAP gmail account. Also, it shows all of the emails I've ever had in my in box {over 3,000} as active which it shouldn't show any as active as they've all been read. This is my very first Apple product. I've only used Android products but have heard many raves over Apple products, so I decided to get an iPad Air to see what all the hype was about. So far, this iPad has left me extremely frustrated and wanting to return it to the Apple Store.

Wi of only iPads do not have a GPS chip installed for accurate locations. They depend on having the location of the Wi-Fi router to which they are attached have their location set in a database. Without that the Wi-Fi only iPad will have difficulty determining its location accurately.

How can i mass delete emails from my inbox?

Are there any tricks to deleting all of the messages from my inbox at once, without having to tap each message??

Go to the gear icon on the upper right; Click on "Rules". Make a rule that says, "If an email is from.... " and put in what emails you want deleted. I had a lot of emails that got forwarded mistakenly from another account--like 4,000! And I used this rule to move them all to Trash. The rule can be anything... All emails from "gmail", etc...

Found my own answer. Although I carried over settings from former iPad, the outgoing server was not set up completely.

You can only add songs to your iOS device from iTunes via Wi-Fi sync or via your cable, not Bluetooth.

If you backed up the iPad after you created the notes, you can restore from the backup to retrieve them. If you didn't backup, the notes are gone.

I deleted emails from VIPs and didn't realise they would be deleted from my Mailbox. VIPs does't appear in Mail on Time Machine. Is there any way I can restore the deleted emails?

You can't download pictures from iCloud by logging into icloud.com. If you deleted pictures from camera roll AND photo stream, the only possibility is preforming a restore from an iCloud backup, assuming the backup has the pictures in it. (Many users have been unable to restore and get back their pictures.)
If the restore doesn't have all the pictures, then they are gone.
In the future, use photo stream to sync photos from an iPhone to a computer, then copy the photos on the computer from the photo stream album into a permanent album. Photo stream pics stay there only for 30 days, and only up to 1000 photos are stored. Don't use photo stream as a storage medium, it's only for copying photos from one device to another. Always copy (either via USB cable or photo stream) to a computer and then move to an album.

one can only connect 1 device at the time and just by waking up sometimes a headset connects to a device

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.
