Can't match end of slide to end of object (gap)? [Captivate 6]

Lately I seem to be having an issue with making the end of the slide match the end of the last object on the slide. As you can see in the attached image, the longest item on the timeline is the mouse click. (Ignore the shape on the very top; this is a button that has the timing set to display for the rest of the slide. I have tried to set this to "specific time" and make it very short, but that did not affect the outcome of this problem.)
What I would like to do is to drag the slide length to the left and shorten it to match the shorter length of the mouse click. However, I am unable to make the slide duration any shorter.
I think this has to do with the audio I added. I have a longer audio track that I added to the slide, and then I edited it and shortened it. The reason I'm doing this is because I'm showing single steps, and the audio narration bunches together a bunch of steps at once. I'm thinking that maybe, even though the ausio is shortened, Captivate doesn't see this "gap," and won't let me shirten the clip because it still thinks there's audio there? Sometime I fiddle around, and chop some silence from the beginning and end of the audio clip, and it lets me drag it a bit further. But in some cases, like here, for example, I don't have any room for more editing. The audio clip is pretty small now, and I need that little bit of silence remaining. This problem throws my project off, because when you watch the whole thing in one go, it can create odd gaps, jumps, or silences. Even if they are tiny, it makes things seem "off."
Any idea how I can fix this?

Slides simply cannot be adjusted to be any shorter in duration than the longest timed object. In the example image, the longest timed object appears to be a Smart Shape. Thus, the slide must end there and cannot be made shorter.
We simply cannot ignore the Smart Shape as you are advising. Yes, I know you feel confident that the problem cannot be there. Yet my guess is that this is exactly where the problem is.
See, when you told Captivate to make the Smart Shape a button, it likely also gained a pause point. And it's likely the pause point of the Smart Shape on top that is preventing you from adjusting the overall slide duration.

Will you type all the elements in the some other notepad which were in web.xml file ,delete the old web.xml file and save the file as web.xml and try to deploy the application again ?
Note:If you feel that no errors in web.xml file ,Open the web.xml file in Internet Explorer then it will show the errors if you hava any.

I am getting the following error message when I try invoking
a webservice.

The problem is, the webservice is working fine, the

Administrator. Once I refresh it, everything starts working again.
Anyone else got this problem? ANY help would be appreciated!
If you guys need my code anyway, I can attach it but like I
said, everything works for a couple of days, then, out of the blue,

Similar kind of problems here - reported back to Adobe a
couple of months ago, so let's wait and hope for the best. My
problems have related to registering multiple web services and
executing them. One problem is that, If I register two identical
(and quite complex) web services, I can only execute either of
them. After CF restart, either of them works, but invoking the
other doesn't work.
For example; CF_Restart -> Try A first, A works -> B
doesn't. Also, CF_Restart -> Try B first, B works -> A
doesn't.

I'am using a WCF-WSHttp adapter to send a very simple message to a WCF service from BizTalk. The service can return a response or throw a BusinessFault or a SystemFault.
I get the responses and faults returned and captured most part of the time . But one in a hundred message fails with the below error when a BusinessFault or a SystemFault is thrown . They are SOAP faults

Hi, I have deployed an application under WLS 8.1 SP4 and I get this error, when I try to access a page. I searched through the BEA site and it does refer to solution id S-13709 which says issue has been fixed in WLS 7.0. Hence should I not be seeing this error?

It would be useful if you provided a little more information about what you're trying to do on your JSP page. For instance, are you using an include directive or include action on the page? Are you trying to start the "jsp:useBean" element in one file, and end it in another? That, in particular, would likely be rejected.

There is no way to automatically do this, but if you have a calculator, you can figure it out.
If you are NTSC (USA), figure 30 frames per second. For PAL (Europe) figure 25 frames per second.
So here is an example in NTSC. Say your music is 3:31, this is equal to 211 seconds or 6330 frames.
If your slideshow has 155 slides, then each slide should last about 41 frames or 1 second and 11 frames.
You can change the duration of the slides to 1:11 and apply to all slides.
(Note: To edit at the frame level, go into iMovie Preferences and choose to display time as hhL:mm:ss:frames)

I have 4 latest Macs All have iDVD. The question was not where to get iDVD.

I appreciate your input but it realy does not answer the question. iDVD will soon not be able to work with newer versions of Macs as it has been left behind by Apple!

Can't get end...Help?

What Have I Done Wrong?
I appreciate that I am not the best coder in the world. In fact I have only just started coding. I know my Script could be better and that there are some, shall we say, rough edges. I wrote this Script to automatically check for updates because OS X is not doing so. OS X Yosemite(and Mavericks before it) would do so manually but not on it's own accord. This despite me having all setting turned on, deleting and rebuilding the necessary files and reinstalling from scratch OS X.

No Offence but I have looked there already. I have done the following
1) checked the settings are turned on in System Preferences/App Store
2)Checked the file /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist is there and also that it has the relevant settings turned on
3)I have deleted the above file then gone back into System preferences/App Store and turned the settings off then on to rebuild the above file.
4)I reinstalled OS X Yosemite
5)I reinstalled OS X Yosemite from scratch (clean install)
6)I created a brand new Apple id and used that to log in with in case it is somehow my id
7)I followed Apple's steps to bypass proxy Server settings as in some cases if your internet connection goes through a proxy/secure proxy server and the traffic is inspected then the connection to apple's update serves is no deemed secure and no effort made to check for updates. Once i followed Apple's steps to the letter it still does not work
8)Tried logging on to various other networks
9)Made sure all software/apps/OS X is unto date
10) When I reinstalled OS X Yosemite I did not restore from backups and just started fresh in case it was an app/software
So you can see I have done practically everything I can think off to solve the issue. This is why I think it is more endemic than simply something I have done. My Girlfriend also has the same issue as me so the chances of both of us doing the same thing wrong (with nothing we do working)is remote.
I am thinking that the problem must be Apple's end on their servers as I do not think it is a problem with the OS or lots more people would have the same issue and it would be more wide spread than this.

How can I fade the first slide in a slideshow in from black?

Novice user here, but I can't seem to find an answer to this question. I've created a couple of slideshow, and have imported them to iDVD to burn the DVDs. When I play the show in iPhoto, they're fine. But when I play a finished DVD (or the demo of the DVD in iDVD), the first slide does not fade in like iPhoto did. It's a really jarring start. I fiddled with Ken Burns effects, but all that seems to do it effect how the slide ends, not how it starts.
How can I start the DVD slide show at black and fade the first slide in, just like iPhoto automatically did?
BTW ... haven't upgrade to the new iLife software yet if that helps.

if it were me, I think the simplest thing to do is take a photo with the lens cover on the camera, basically a black pic. Now use this one at the beginning of your DVD/Slide Show... or even between slides for a little more drama, if you wanted...

Can't match sequence settings to clips

I shot some footage on a JVC consumer camera and converted it to mpeg 2 with mpeg streamclip. When I create a sequence in FCP 5.1.4 it doesn't give me an mpeg 2 option in the sequence settings, so I can't match the format and the clips have to be rendered in the timeline.
When I go back to mpeg streamclip and convert the clips to DV and import them into FCP, the audio shows up as "1 Stereo", whereas my sequence shows up as "2 Outputs". So now my audio has to be rendered in the timeline. Mpeg streamclip doesn't give me an option to change the audio, and FCP won't let me change the sequence audio setting. So frustrating!
How can I get the clips and the sequence settings to match?

You can't use multiplexed MPEG 2 streams in FCP.
If you used Export to DV in MPEG Streamclip, that's another mistake. You will have to render the audio every time you change something.
How to do it right, the first time:
From the Edit menu, choose Export to QuickTime.
Choose the codec from the multi choice button at the top of the next window.
((Use one that Final Cut Pro works with, as found in FCP's Easy Setup menu.))
Set the Quality slider to 100%.
Export your movie.

Why can't I select shuffle slide order in my settings?

Why can't I select shuffle slide order in my settings. . . I see it there as an option, but it won't let me choose it. I don't want to manually shuffle 329 slides!

It's only available in slideshow that are generated from a album. There you can select the Shuffle checkbox. You can also save the settings for that specific album to be used on any set of photos that you might put in there. Name the album something like Slideshow and reuse it. Just remove the last batch of photos from it and add the new ones. That will save you having to set all of the settings each time or just one setting like music.

If there was an interruption during the initial iTunes Match process and you are now having issues with playback and album art, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article helpful. In particular, you may want to turning iTunes Match off, then back on again, as noted here:
If iTunes Match is already enabled on your computer or device, try turning iTunes Match off and then on again.
Mac: While holding down the option key, choose Store > Turn Off iTunes Match.
Turn iTunes Match on by selecting Store > Turn On iTunes Match.
Windows: While holding down the shift key, choose Store > Turn Off iTunes Match.
Turn iTunes Match on by selecting Store > Turn On iTunes Match.
