Can't move a rented movie to Apple TV
I recently rented a movie on ITunes and easily transferred it from my PC to my first generation Apple TV. Two weeks later I have rented another movie and cannot transfer it. Has another version of ITunes been released in he meantime? I go into Rented and then File but nothing appears in devices from the drop down box. I am unable to sync the TV. I rarely use Icloud but have set up an account. However this does not appear on the Apple TV. Does this mean Icloud can only be accessed on the latest generation Apple TVs. In a nutshell how do I move a rented movie from my (non Mac) PC to my Apple TV?
Is it the little black box? If yes then it is the 2nd model. It won't show up in iTunes as there is no syncing involved. The only time it does is when you connect and need to restore the device.
You need to enable home sharing in iTunes and on ATV

Can you move your apple care to a different device?
Hello,
I just bought a new Iphone 5c. I changed phone companies and had an iphone 5 before. I didnt have the Iphone 5 for long. I bought the Iphone 5 with apple care anticipating that I was going to have that phone for a long time. I unfortunately did not and wanted to know is there anyway to transfer the remaining time on the apple care to my new iphone 5c?
Let me know if this is possible
Thanks,
ZohenyIs the AppleCare Protection Plan or AppleCare+ transferable?
Yes. If you choose to sell or give away your Apple product, you can also transfer the ownership of the AppleCare Protection Plan or AppleCare+. Please see the Terms and Conditions for complete details.

Can't find my rented films om apple tv
I'm rented two movies from iTunes, but now none of them show up when i Search for them. When I try to rent the same movies again I'm told that I've already rented them and that I can find them if i search for rented objects..... They don't show up. Actually nothing shows up.
It seems to be a common problem many Apple TV users are experiencing. I was able to restore to factory settings, update software and reconfigure the Apple TV settings, and then could view one program. However, the solve is only temporary and it is a lengthy process. I'm hoping Apple support can provide a permanent solve soon.

How can i watch a rented movie in my apple tv?
I rented a movie in iTunes and want to watch it in my apple TV. I try to "drag" the movie to the apple TV under Devices, and can't seem to do it. When I go to my shared movies in apple TV the rental is not there. Does anyone know what I need to do?
I assume you are using the Apple TV 1 (silver/grey).
The rental needs to be transferred to the Apple TV. It sounds as though you have paired a secondary (streaming only) library only and you need a primary library to transfer content. -
My child accidentally rented a movie on Apple TV. Is there a way to refund the rental if we don't watch it?
How can I prevent this from happening? Is there a way to password protect future purchases?Did you try Parental Controls?
Apple TV: Understanding Restrictions (parental controls) - Apple Support
See if that does the trick: I think there's a way for you to request a password for purchases, but still be logged in. -
I have rented a movie on apple tv and wish to finish it on my mac book air. When I open iTunes on my mac book air I can not see the movie in iTunes. It is an authorised device and I can see other purchases just. How do I fix it?
Rented movies downloaded to an Apple TV can't be transferred to any other device.

Rented "Gone Girl" on apple tv. It charges me, but will not play for more than 4 seconds at a time. I have exercised every step of apple's troubleshooting and nothing fixes the problem. I have a very strong, steady 81 Mbps Internet connection speed and can stream any other HD through the apple tv except for this rented movie. This is not the first time this has happened either. I just gave apple $6 for free and am currently watching the movie streaming through my cable provider's on demand channel with ease. Oh yeah, and when I seek apple support for the issue, apple wants $2 just to contact someone! Give me my money back please and I will never attempt to use your poor tv service again.
The limitation of approximately 200 titles has been discussed before, we can't be sure whether it will be something that gets fixed or not. I'm not really sure what your other issues are, if I use search instead of lists, I find whatever I want and am able to rent or purchase subject to those options being available for that particular title.

HT1657 can I play a rented movie on an Apple TV 2nd gen while downloading?
Can I play a rented movie from itunes on an Apple TV 2 while the movie is still downloading? I can watch it on the Mac that it is downloading on but the air play symbol does not appear to be apple to select the ATV. Does the movie have to completely download first?
'Make sure your iTunes is up to date 10.5 at the top where the tabs are turn on "Home Sharing" by enabling it on your MACBookPro under the advanced tab using your Apple ID and PW then turn on your AppleTV and on the far right side click on "Computers" repeat turning on "Home Sharing" on there then start your movie and click on the AirPlay Icon then select send to AppleTV! There are a few other more ways to do the same thing but thats the easiest let me Know if you need more info .

I recently download a rented movie from itunes store in my iMac. My question is, if I can watch my rented movie in my apple tv without Airplay or Home sharing? The reason is because I don't want to turn on my iMac every time that I want to watch a movie.
Thanks! If you rented the movie from Apple TV, then you can't watch it on the iPad. The screenshot below is from Here

trying to rent a movie on apple tv for the first time and have to authorize my computer but can't find the itunes menu that allows me to do this. any thoughts out there?
If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

Does 802.11n give a speed boost on the iPad?
I did some testing to see if I'd get a speed boost by enabling 802.11n on my Belkin F5D8233-4 router, which supports 802.11n draft specification. I have Verizon FIOS with 25Mbps download/upload. I also have the Verizon router, which only supports 802
