Can't Move Mailbox Exchange 2010: MapiExceptionMailboxSoftDeleted: Unable to open message store

Hi All,
I've this issues and I'll be gland if some one can assist me to fix it:
I can't move mailbox form one DB1 to DB2, When I run the Move request on EMC i got this error:Summary: 1 item(s). 0 succeeded, 1 failed.

    I have 2 exchange server "A" and "B". Server "A" have "Test1" database and Server "B" have "Test2" database. I tried move some mailboxes from "Test1" to "Test2"
    but sometimes mailboxes cannot finished and display below error.  I used Domain administrator to move mailboxes and grant "Manage full access permission" to these mailboxes but still failed. Finally, I clear the failed move request

    Hi Gordon 
    This could happen if there is any mailbox which has occupied more space than its normal quota allocated.
    As suggested by geo try to clean all the DB's first 
    You can probably run Get-Mailboxdatabase | Clean-Mailboxdatabase which will clean all of your DB's wait for some time until it gets completed
    Also try running the command with the MRS server parameter switch and specify a CAS FQDN and see the results if it gets succeded

    I have an Exch 2010 SP2.
    I restored "application" from Windows backup -> successful. And I created recovery database (RecoveryDB), and mounted -> successfull.
    I could not restore mailbox from RecoveryDB.
    I want to restore "kmc250sza" mailbox from RecoveryDB, but I have an error:

  • Publicfolder access sporadically blocked RCA-Log shows [TooManyObjectsOpenedException] [MapiExceptionSessionLimit] Unable to open message store

    i am out of ideas with this Problem. Would be nice to get help.
    Some users use a shared mailbox (IT-DESK) together to store all information in one mailbox. This users do not have an own mailbox. They login with their AD-Account, start Outlook and configure Outlook to access the IT-DESK mailbox. Credentials are used from
    AD-Account with IT-DESK Mailbox. This works fine for all 6 users. But if they are all online, there a problems to access the public Folders. Outlook Shows error message: "Cannot expand the Folder. Your Server Administrator has limited the number of items
    you can open simultaneously. Try closing Messages you have opened or removing attachments and Images from unsent Messages you are composing." Close and restart Outlook doesn't help.
    If other colleguas Close outloook, this user can acccess the publicfolder.

    PublicFolderDatabase PF_01_2013 on SRV0101 (with publicfoldermailboxes MBX01 structure, MBX02 Folders and MBX03 Folders)

    From the error message, it seems that Mapi session exceed the limit.
    Please check the registry key MaxObjsPerMapiSession under the following location.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem
    The changes become effective when the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service is restarted. Before making any changes in registry, please take the backup of the registry.
    Besides, please check the application log to see if there is any related events.

  • New mailbox move request Exchange 2010 : queued

    I have deployed new Exchange 2010 server in Exchange 2003 Organization.  It is simple setup one Exchange 2003 and   New Exchange 2010.
    I was trying to move mailbox from Exchange 2003 to 2010 and it has status of QUEUE “indefinetly”.. I have tried several mailboxes  and result is the same.
    Then I decided to create new database on Exchange 2010 sever. I have crate new mailbox on Exchange 2010 sever, send and receive some emails. And then try to move mailbox to new database. Same results.
    I run test MSR replication and is ok.
    I have increase msr LOGGING TO Maximum, no errors. I have rebooted server several times, no differences…

    Based on the description, status of mailbox move request from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 is "indefinitely".
    Please make sure mailbox databases in Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2003 are mounted.
    Have you moved mailbox using the New-MoveRequest with the BadItemLimit and the AcceptLargeDataLoss parameters? If not, it's worth to do it again. Before you create a new move request, please check if there is any previous move request. If there is, please
    clear the previous move request and then move the mailbox.
    If the issue persists, please try to move mailbox to another database in Exchange 2003 and then move to Exchange 2010 to check the result.

    Did you get any error messages?
    Do you have Outlook Anywhere and autodiscovery set up properly?
    Can you ping the Exchange server?
    Please use Test Email AutoConfiguration
    to test if the Autodiscover service is configured properly. See:

    We can also use the remote connectivity analyzer to troubleshoot the issue:

    hey folks i've seen a bunch of guys asking this same question on another threads with no reply, is this a OS bug or something? from time to time i received SMS from my contacts and sometimes I am not able to open them and i got a message: "unable to open. message format  not supported Symbian" even though i can read some text from the preview list.
    any workaround?

  • Unable to open message. Format not supported.

    This problem has already  been discussed here however I can provide some more detailed information. Our company runs a network of automatic telemetry stations. The stations send short messages containing some data to the users. Even though the message contains only a plain text and can be displayed on most mobile phones without any problem, it can't be displayed on some Nokia phones, e.g.. N8 and 2630. The model 2630 shows "Message cannot be displayed". The N8 shows "Unable to open message. Format not supported", but the beginning of the message (preview) is readable in the inbox.
    On the sender side the  Wavecom wireless CPU model Q2686 is used. I tried to send various messages using AT+CMGS command but regardless of the content they cannot be displayed on N8 and 2360.
    Please help. If anyone is interested in this problem I can demonstrate it by sending an 'undisplayable' message to his mobile phone number.

    I have N8, and same thing happened to me when i recieved MMS Confg. for using operator internet mobile,  "Message Format not supported"
    about me i change to another GSM operator, and its work now.
    i think u can add an access point manually, go to ur GSM Operator and take the setup details, and from conective > setting > Destinations > Add new acc. pt.

    We use Oracle 8.1.7 on HP-UX and got today quite a lot of error :
    SQL-02100: Unable to open message file (SQL-02113)
    What could be the problem?
    From what I found in the internet :
    SQL-02100 Out of memory (i.e., could not allocate)
    Cause: SQLLIB was unable to allocate enough memory to execute the program.
    Action: Allocate more memory to the user session, then rerun the program. If the error persists, call Oracle Customer Support for assistance.
    SQL-02113 Unable to open message file
    Cause: SQLLIB was unable to find or open the SQLLIB message file, SQL*.MSB.
    Action: Check that this file exists in the MESG directory and that it is readable.
    But I dont know much detail about that. Anyone can suggest what should be checked?
    I compared the .../rdbms/mesg folder with other 8.1.7 installation and it is the same (number of files, permissions).
    Please help.

    An old post said there should be files at $ORACLE_HOME/precomp/mesg/pcb*.msg (1st file with pc* is pccus.msb)
    An old post suggested I had to install the CLIENT as well as the server ?
    BUT I do not see how to install the client, It seems it is now included with 11g ?
    Hope somebody knows what the problem is

    I had this problem : reinstalled firefox etc to no effect. Fixed it by clearing cookies and emptying cache - a suggestion found on a Linux forum. Tools>Options>Privacy>tick' clear history when firefox closes' , close firefox and reopen. (remember to untick if you don't want cookies etc to be cleared every time you close firefox)

    I get similar errors when trying to view certificate on other server (old to new or new to old).
    When I run: Get-ClientAccessServer | Test-MRSHealth - it retrieves local server info fine, but I get an access denied error trying to retrieve from old server.
    I have searched and tried everything I could find to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    1) Are you on a 2008 Server? If so you will need to right click and run as administrator on the EMC/Powershell you are using.
    2) Did you Prepare the Legacy Permissions when you did the new Exchange install?

  • E72 not synching after move to Exchange 2010

    My company has hundreds of E72 users that synchronize with Exchange 2007.
    After we installed Exchange 2010 we had problems because the E72 phones would not get redirected to the legacy.domain.com URL.
    We finally had to fix this with a workaround on our reverse proxy.
    But now when we move the mailbox to Exchange 2010 the user is able to send out new emails and check the global address list, but new emails are not appearing in the mailbox on the phone.
    Updating the firmware (if available), or recreating the Mail for Exchange profile will cause the phone to start syncing again, but this is not a very user friendly solution.
    Does anyone know what is causing this? Or better yet, have a solution for this issue?
    So far all iPhones, Windows Mobile and Android phones are syncing correctly after the migration.

    Bad/Corrupt Rules can also cause migration failures so you might check that as well.
    Depending on the # of mailboxes you have to work with another option would be to take an offline copy of the database (EDB/STM) and use a 3rd party utility like Lucid8's DigiScope to open the database offline.  Once you have access to the data you
    could dial-tone the DB, then execute the MB move which will go fast since the DB is pretty much empty.  Once completed use DigiScope to inject/migrate the data directly from the offline 2003 database into the production Exchange Server. 
    Search, Recover, & Extract Mailboxes, Folders, & Email Items from Offline Exchange Mailbox and Public Folder EDB's and Live Exchange Servers or Import/Migrate direct from Offline EDB to Any Production Exchange Server, even cross version i.e. 2003 -->
    2007 --> 2010 --> 2013 with Lucid8's

  • Move existing Exchange 2010 server to new hardware and reinstalling Exchange 2010

    Hi so as the title states I need to Install Exchange 2010 on a brand new 2008R2 Server and transfer everything from the old Exchange Server.
    Couple things though.
    Existing 2008R2 Server w/ Exchange 2010 is also a Domain Controller.
    Exchange needs to be uninstalled completely once Exchange is setup and going on new hardware.
    Existing 2008R2 Server needs to stay up and stay a domain controller.
    Questions are how do I go about this step by step?
    Am I going to have problems uninstalling Exchange from the Domain Controller?  Will this mess up anything with the Schema?
    Any how to guides would be great.  New Server will of course have a different name than existing Domain Controller server.
    Any questions let me know.

    Here are the steps about moving the Exchange server to a new server which isn't a domain controller:
    1.Install Exchange Server on a different computer.
    2.Use Move Mailbox in the Exchange Task Wizard to move any existing mailboxes from the domain controller to the new Exchange server.
    3.Rehome any public folders and roles held by the old Exchange Server computer to the new Exchange Server computer.
    4.Uninstall Exchange Server from the domain controller.
