Can't move pages in version 8

I used to be able to just move pages back and forth between documents in Acrobat by just clicking and dragging. Now I have version 8 and it won't let me do this. Version 7 lets me do this by asking me to give it exact typed directions.
Why isn't my acrobat FRIENDLY anymore?
I go cry now.

Adobe Acrobat 8 can move pages. Adobe Reader 8 can't move pages.

In this case your best bet would be to have the other people just provide content without the template and then you can just plug content in rather than doing a select all.
You can open up both your site and their site at the same time in Muse to help the copying process.

Can I move pages/reorder page numbers by moving bookmarks?

I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Standard and in a different version of Adobe I used to be able to renumber the pages by dragging and moving the bookmarks. I see that I can do this using the thumbnails but I can't see the content well enough in the thumbnail view to know which one to move.

fwiw - I've used each release of Acrobat since release "3". In no release has moving Bookmarks renumbered pages. As you've noted page numbering via PageLabel (from within the Pages panel) is doable - that's how it has been with each release.

You could make a duplicate of your existing book by control-clicking on it and clicking "Duplicate", then delete the unneeded pages from both books.

Can't Move pages in InDesign CS6

I have a 24 page workbook that I had to renumber the pages to start with page 2. After doing this, my pages aren't showing up next to each other. And I'm unable to move them. I've included a screen shot for reference.
Any advice?

Fromthe pages panel flyout menu make sure Allow Document Pages to Shuffle is checked, and also Allow Selected Spreads to Shuffle for any spreads that show the numbers in brackets if you want them to be able to rearrange as well (in this case you have two pages numbered 2, and that's a problem since by default ID wants to arrange even numbered pages tothe left of the spine and odds to the right).

Can't move pages or do anything in Reader

Using Win7 with an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus! Scanned documents, but missed a page. Is there any way to insert a page in the middle after saving in Reader XI?
The HP software allows you to add or delete pages, but the add function always places them at the end of the document! Can delete pages anywhere before saving as a pdf file.
Once in pdf I can't do a darn thing except view them!
I have tried looking at several of the Adobe tutorials and TV and not much help except wasting a whole days worth of time!
I guess I will just have to rescan the whole document to get it in the right place? 45 pages!

You can do that with Acrobat. If this is a one-time task, you can download the Acrobat trial, which is fully functional for 30 days.

You just gave two versions which one do you want to do this in?
You can largely forget it in Pages 5.01.
If you divide your document with Section Breaks in Pages '09, you can simply drag the thumbnails into place.

Actually, you can use iCloud and the way that you so it is to log into iCloud.com on the Mac (use Safari for best results) click on the Pages icon and then drag the Pages files into the browser window. It works the other way around as well. Log into iCloud.com on the Mac and download the files from Pages (that you created on the iPad) in iCloud onto your Mac. You can click on the file in the documents window and select it to Download by clicking on the Gear icon or right click upon the file and select download.
The files will then sync to the Pages app on the iPad - assuming hat you have use iCloud tuned on in Settings>Pages>Use iCloud>On. I have an iMac running Tiger 10.4.11 that I can still move Pages/Word files back and forth Iike this.
Also, File Sharing with iTunes is a great way to move the files back and forth.

Pages v5+ is Apple's version of, “Who moved my cheese?”
This is a brand new 64-bit rewrite redesign of the prior version. It isn't that they malevolently removed 100+ features that were user productivity habits — it is due to the fact that they haven't had time to restore 8 years of Pages evolution back into the application. The end result is the same. A largely useless product.
It is anyone's guess what schedule priority and functionality Apple will follow with future application updates. For starters, they should set the version back to 1.0, if for no other reason, than to create an even greater cosmos between Apple Marketing and fact.
There is no point going further. Peter has shared clarity. Apple is lost in its own funhouse of mirrors regarding desktop applications.

Same problem here (no graphics in header or footer) and the problem has been reported months ago. It is another bug/feature lost when Apple moves from 09 to the iCloud-compatible versions. Complain to Apple, you may have better chance than me and they may finally listen to their users....

You need to be in a country to buy from its store, so whilst you are in Switzerland you can only use the Swiss store - you will need to be in Spain to use the Spanish store.
On each film's description page in the store there should be a list of the language(s) and/or subtitles that it has on it e.g. here in the UK one of the new releases, Svengali, has listed on its description page :

I have learned to love PAGES, but I can't figure out how "sections" get linked together and how to unlink them so I can move pages or delete pages with a whole bunch of pages (a section) going away.

I have learned to love the PAGES program but I will add a new "section" or page to it and then when I look at thumbnails and try to move pages around or delete pages, it treats them as a section of many pages and will only delete several of them together or will add extra blank pages that I don't need. It is very frustrating but must be something I am doing to cause this.

A Page Break pushes the next text to the next page, it is still part of the same section.
You need to insert a Section Break.
