Can't move songs onto my iPhone without turning off match
I have an issue where my Library hasn't been fully matched yet... so the songs I have I can't listen to or upload onto my iPhone.... any suggestions?
You have the ability to turn iTunes Match on separately for your iTunes and your iPhone. Turn it on for your iTunes and let it start the matching process. Until the matching process completes, do not turn it on for your iPhone and it will continue to sync songs the normal way.

I updated my iphone 4 to ios7.04 in itunes. In itunes, it appears that all my data/apps/music/etc are on the phone (but I cannot see anything on phone itself except setup screens). I am getting the ios7 setup screen on my iphone. I have selected my language, selected my wifi netowork, enabled location services, and chosen resore from itunes back up. Next screen I get says to connec to itunes, which I did. In itunes, I select restore from backup. I then get a message that I need to disable "find my iphone " "Go to iCloud Settings on your iPhone and turn off Find My iPhone before restoring your iPhone." I cannot go to any settings on my iphone as I cannot get past the connect to iturnes screen! I have also tried not enabling location services and that made no difference. I cannot get to anyplace on my iphone except the ios setup first few screens. I am going crazy, there must be some simple thing I have missed! Any help appreciated!
I found a way to get to my data. So do not need remedy at this time.
fwiw, I changed my ios7.04 setup answer of restore from itunes to new iphone. Eventually that allowed me to set up icloud, then turn off find iphone, restore. Very strange ios update. -
How can I transfer songs from my iPhone without wiping the iPhone?
I have two computers. My original is a basic Dell that's really getting old and the other is a new one I custom built a year ago. My first computer, which I had all my iTunes stuff on, has started dying so I've decided to transfer all my music and iTunes over to the new computer. I transfered all my songs from iTunes over to the new computer (after re-downloading iTunes) and then popped in my iPhone.
The issue is this: the new iTunes library is missing 200 songs that my iPhone has. Well, whatever, I figured I'd just sync it. But if I sync from my phone to the new computer it wipes out my phone and gives me the stuff in iTunes, so then I'm out 200 songs. So I tried hitting "Manually Sync this phone". Same thing, if I try and hit apply it says it'll wipe out my phone because it's already synced to the old computer.
Is there a way to un-sync my phone from the old computer, or a way that I can move my music from the phone over to the new computer without wiping it?iPhone Data Transfer is another choice which lets you copy sms, contacts, notes, bookmarks, songs, vidoes, photos and call log etc from old iPhone 3GS/4/4S/5 to your new iPhone 5S or iPhone 5S.

My Itunes decided to update itself without my consent and while it updated it erased my songs. I have an Iphone 4 and I want to put the songs inside my Itunes in my Mac Pro how can I do that?? not all the songs I have on my phone are bought.
It has always been very basic to always maintain to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
The iphone is not a backup device. The music sync is one way - computer to iphone, The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases -
Can't drag songs onto my iPhone
Hey everyone - not sure if I'm the only one who's having this problem, but I have the latest iTunes (10.5.3) and my iPhone 4S is up to date (running 5.0.1).
I just purchased an album on iTunes, but cannot drag the purchased tracks onto my phone, even though it's showing in the sidebar. I had to go into iTunes on my phone and download them there. Is there some setting I need to check to allow drag n drop as well as iCloud stuff?

I didn't realize that because I had purchased a new laptop, my iPhone didn't recognize the library on the new computer, even though I was using the same Apple iTunes account. I checked the manual management box as suggested, and my iPhone library now has to be rebuilt, which will take awhile, but I can deal with that. It's working. Thanks!

I can't put songs onto my iphone!
I downloaded this ringtune maker app and followed the instructions to sync/save them to my phone, it ended up clearing all my songs from my phone and didn't even add the ring tunes. Now when I am trying to re-add the songs, it won't let me put any on??! I restored my phone setting and still nothing. What do I do?

IPhone 4 turns off when a specific song plays

I bought a few songs on itunes but the songs appear in grey letters and I cannot transfer them to my iphone. I've bought/rented TV shows/movies since so there isn't an issue with my account. How can I get these newly purchased songs onto my iphone?
You made a purchase and exhausted the credit on your card before it processed. All purchases are final. Contact iTunes Store support. You need to settle up before you can purchase or download anything else.

I loaded more songs into Itunes. How can I move them to my IPhone?
I loaded some CDs into Itunes and they show up in the Music folder okay. When I connect my Iphone to Itunes, I see a music folder under the IPhone icon in the left column but clicking on that shows the list of songs already on my IPhone. How do I move the new songs loaded onto the IPhone without erasing the songs already on the IPhone. I need to do a "merge" somehow. Advice please...
You need to select the iPhone 'device' (not the Music section underneath it which just shows what is already on the device) and then select the Music tab that will appear on the right-hand side of iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1351
You can also just highlight the new songs in your iTunes music library, and drag-and-drop them over to the iPhone device. -
I put songs onto my IPhone 4, and they show up under the "On This Phone" section in itunes, but when I go to play the songs on my phone, they aren't there. How can I fix this?
When you look at your iPhone, are you looking in the Music app or in the iTunes app? Be sure you are looking in the Music app, and look in the Songs category. If your songs are not here, you may want to try syncing your information again through iTunes. To do this, uncheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync in the bottom right corner of iTunes, and then recheck "Sync Music" and then click apply or sync again.

Why when I try to download songs onto my iPhone from my iPad, it pops up and says "This device is already associated with an Apple ID, You can download past purchases on this device with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this device with a different Apple ID for 90 days
(Note, mine says 28 days because I have been waiting for a fair bit for this to go away.)You can't keep changing the ID you use with iTunes, you are limited to once every 90 days.

How can I remove the forced U2 songs from my iphone without synchronizing?
Hello. I have about 100 songs merely on my iPhone, nowhere else. Apple moved somehow these U2 songs on my iPhone without permission. Now it is like having an undesired cupboard standing in the middle of my living room and I cannot remove it. A synchronizing would also delete my 100 songs. What can I do? Please help!

I can't trasfer music from my library in itunes to my iphone 3GS. A black ring with a line through it comes up when i try to move music onto my iphone from itunes. How can I fix this so that I can load my phone with music?
How are you trying to transfer it and what are your setting on iTunes. I'm not on a computer that has iTunes at the moment so I'm going from memory and similar issue. If iTunes is set to sync music then I don't think you can select and drag, if set to manual manage music then you can. Also make sure you are dragging to music on the iPhone.
